I feel it's dinsengenious to say that void form and voidweaver have bad synergy void form resets the cd of mind blast so you can torrent void blast x2 void form void blast x2 and maybe 3 if proc and voidweaver give us a lot of insanity which is very good to extend void form
I've found voidweaver to feel pretty clunky. ***It being activated at the start of a non-haste reduced 3 second cast but then also having the duration increase via mind blasts idk. It seems like that would have been easy to fix as you had suggested in an earlier video of just pushing the rift after it finished channeling.**** (Blizz changed this) Or another idea I'd thought of was instead of mind blasts being buffed only during the duration of rift make it just buff the next three mind blasts and then also change it so DP increases the length of rift instead of MB. This way you don't have that sort of stressful moment right as Void torrent ends where you really want to press both mind Blast and DP. It would be just a clear decision of pressing DP and then going through your mind Blast charges. It would also prevent you from having to hold mind Blast charges pre torrent. Oh and if you were playing Void Eruption it wouldnt be quiet as messy as it seems like it would be currently (on beta). They'd probably need to buff the number of Void blasts youd get playing void eruption to compensate.
Thankfully they made a change so that the rift duration is actually started at the start of Void Torrent yes, but it is also fully refreshed at the END of your Void Torrent cast. Which incentivizes you to full channel it every time. Next 3 blasts is interesting but that could also lower the amount of skill expression in the window? but definitely see what you mean.
@@Publikwow oh wow that rift change is really nice to hear! Yeah that's true, and they've dumbed our spec down a lot as is even just from the start of Df. I just hate the idea of holding mind Blast so much lol. It's been one of the few constants with our spec along with dot (dp) maintenance. I guess my thought was you'd still have that desire to get them all off during the rift just because of the 10% increase of shadow damage virtue of Voidheart. It would give you more flexibility during that window. But also to your point less skill expression and no chance of getting lucky with procs giving you >3 void blasts.
Though i like the increased ranged talent over mindgames (great change). I wish they did this instead in its place: "Add additional charge to shadow crash and increase its range to 10yards but increases the cd by 50%." (aka, makes shadow crash the same size as other aoe placement talents (DnD, Conc, RoF, blizzard, etc..), gives 2 charges of shadow crash but increases the cd to 30sec per charge. This would be a great quality of life for shadow and make it less punishing when playing with tanks that don't understand other classes (aka moving targets out of dps aoe). This i believe is also the most requested changes I've seen from the shadow priest community (aka listening to the players). Please Like if u agree, or comment if u think differently.

We follow a similar priority with Devouring Plague that we do currently, just with the addition of checking for Rift. So if Voidform, Dark Ascension, or Entropic Rift are active you somewhat full send Devouring Plague (to an extent). Obviously you need to do this carefully to maintain uptime but usually not a problem during rift windows with the Insanity gen from Void Blast

Right now Voidweaver is ahead by about 12% on single target and up to 20% in Mythic+. And yes Archon plays more identically to Shadow currently in Dragonflight except you now press Halo every 1 minute and press MFI/MSI more often during CDs
Gonna be pretty frustrating pooling MB having a tier set that promoted pressing it at a very high prio. Feels like void blast could be in place of MFI or MSI and feel perfectly fine, like you said, probably a balancing nightmare, and it would likely mean every 30seconds our normal filler would attribute to PL unless they removed that interaction entirely.
I've read a few solid reviews of how this plays recently and it is not looking like something I will play. While it could nail it on fantasy, except for all but forcing you into dark ascension and neglecting void eruption, the game play seems very clunky and punishing. Pooling mind blast feels wrong and shadowy insight procs feel bad at times. With Archon out performing, being bland, missing on fantasy completely, and revolving around a boring filler spell, I am currently keeping my options open for what I want to play.
Might just be me but I really do not like the new "cosmic void" effects, the shadowy purple look always spoke to me but now I feel like most of the cool abilities are now replaced with the newer sparkly blue cosmic stuff and it just looks super weird to me. I wish they had just kept the ability's looks and just updated the core flow of the spec.
Do you think shadow will gets its 2 point nodes reduced further? Dont we have like 8 of them right now or something? All the other classes have most of them removed/reworked
Yeah i think we have the most or tied for the most in the game and then the most possible talent builds in the game for DPS specs. Would love to see that but i dont think it will happen until a future patch

So far in raids it definitely needs help, below average in my testing. But inside of Mythic+ there are plenty of good things to talk about and I think it will be quite competitive. There is a lot of tuning left to be done (and time to do it) so I would not be worried.

That could help but would also devalue Voidform even more than it already is and consequentially be a buff to Dark Ascension. Our cooldowns are kind of a mess right now

Disc already has a pretty high skill ceiling and shadow had theirs lowered quite a bit. So needing to pool mind blasts makes sense.
Voidweaver looks and feels better on disc in my opinion
