Jimmy Jesus It’s a combo of everyone’s regression. Not just Trubisky. He’s just the QB so he’s gonna take the fall for the team. It was one bad year. People are honestly overreacting.
The Last American Hero are you talking to me? Cause I’ve known from the start that the Mitch pick was ass. I didn’t know how good Mahomes would turn out to be, but I knew that Deshaun Watson was 3 times better than Bitch Trubuttsky
@@robertolebron2296 Mahomes was also a project QB, and the Bears would have ruined him if they just threw him into the fire day 1. Watson would have been amazing day 1, and he was
@@AlexRollinsNFL it's cause Mel Kiper declared that Mitch was the safest option out of the 3. I remember the draft, it was talked about several times before the draft happened
He has the curse of potential that scouts saw when he came out of college. Barely had starts in his QB career but people thought he was the next great, why they ignored Mahomes and Watson we'll never know lol.
it's cause Mel Kiper declared that Mitch was the safest option out of the 3. I remember the draft, it was talked about several times before the draft happened
The bears really are the dumbest franchise ever. I had my doubts on how good he would b when they drafted him. Bears will never draft the correct quarterback, they are just too stupid.
If Watson was a "sure thing" how come he was not picked until 12? How come teams in quarterback Heck passed on him like Cleveland, San Francisco, and Jacksonville? Cleveland passed on him twice, trading out of the Pick that became him. Stop it. The reality is that there was no clear cut quarterback in that draft. Scouts were split on who was the best.
@@Allopientubefish2 Dumb Statement. College achievements are meaningless. Also, Nine teams passed on him after the Bears. Nine. Some like the Niners and Bengals took complete busts. The next two teams after the Bears had a quarterback crisis, and did not take Watson. Use your brain. I am tried of this nonsense.
Nagys offensive play calling did not help Mitch at all. Mitch having only 1 year starting in college shows. Mitch plays better when he can run and extend plays. They made him into a pocket QB last year and that is not what he does best. Watch the games where he makes plays with his legs, he is a totally different QB.
He is literally playing in the same style of offense as the Chiefs. He is not really. He still makes bad decisions. There are so many easy options in that offense. For example, I can't remember what game, but he had a good run, but he had this easy pass that could have gone for more yardage. He can't read defenses and he can't process the whole field. His best year his first read was open a lot. This last year he was forced to play QB. I can't remember what defensive player said, but he said that was their plan. To make Mitch think.
Haven't you realized by now that having the ability to make plays with your legs as a QB is a huge advantage...but also worthless if you can't stand in the pocket and make a pass now and then
@@jeffwhitney3369 he did in 2018 got them to a playoff game. Last year they did not let him make plays with his legs. Having no run game gave Mitch like 2 seconds to throw the ball. No one is going to be able to play well under all that pressure and the trash o-line didn't help. Mitch has some issues but it was as not all on him last year.
As a Bears fan drafting Mitch over Watson and Mahomes will probably haunt me the rest of my life. Either of those guys with this defense, and the bears are a legit title contender probably for the next decade.
@TheRapper10000 Dude... Mitch was a horrible QB in college. Did you really expect any more out of him at a higher level? Didn't he go 6-5 as a starting QB his senior season? What's the definition of insanity again?
@@MellowPigeon06 his first year in college was alright. Dwayne Haskins had 50+tds in a harder conference and he was the 15th overall pick and trubisky somehow was second.
Trubisky never had a chance. This kid's only chance was to go to the right team that would sit him for the 1st year and DEVELOP him. instead they just threw him into the fire when he clearly wasn't ready and they ruined him possibly forever
Remember when the 49ers suckered the Bears in to trading up one spot to get him? Remember when our same 49er had Christian McCaffery sitting in our lap, playing in our backyard at Stanford and would have been a perfect fit in Kyle's zone scheme that also asks the HB to catch passes... and they drafted Solomon Thomas? Sigh...
i agree but we needed a DE and although Solomon Thomas has not been a game changer and or elite he has been decent. It was a third overall pick if i remember correctly and spending that on hb is extremely risky even if it was Christian McCaffery. Looking back in hindsight it was the wrong decision because we will probably end up trading thomas sooner then later as he is a bust comparable to where he was picked and his output but at the time, but i understand the decision.
@@yianni2267 - I get it too, but it isn't hind sight. A lot of people knew that CMC was the real deal. The true counter argument is that Shanahan and Lynch both know to never over pay for HBs. That is why they have a backfield of UDFA and practice squad castoffs, yet we're #2 in team rushing behind only the Ravens who broke an NFL record. I get it, but I also was very against Thomas from the start. He had bust written all over him from all the film breakdowns I watched. It isn't like I am saying the 49ers should have "obviously" taken Mahomes. That is true hind sight and I won't go there. People were high on Fournette, and for good reason (and he went 4th), but the two guys I had my eyes on were CMC and Jamal Adams. When SF traded down, I thought it would be to get one of them.
Paul Gaither I get you McCaffery would be perfect in our system it’s a shame we didn’t pick him. I did some more research into Thomas and actually it made the decision to pick him even worse, so many red flags. He was the best run defender in the nation at the time at standard according to PFF and we decided to convert him into a Edge Defender when he wasn’t good enough to fit that role. Our draft that season was overall bad
@@yianni2267 - Thank you. People call in hind sight in so many comments, but you can see that it wasn't. To be fair, on the field, Foster and Witherspoon were really good picks and they also got Kittle as a steal of the draft to make up for busting on Thomas. However, the mistake to draft Thomas at #2/#3 is the head scratcher. Ruben Foster had off the field issues which are bad, but it was a solid selection in terms of talent scouting and draft value. Spoon and Moseley are going to be our future CBs as Sherman ages. Jamal Adams would have been a game changer for our defense and the Jets got a stud there.
Paul Gaither yeah If we would of got Adams we wouldn’t have all these links with us being interested and having to give a queens ransoms to get him. Anyway only up from here and we get back to Super Bowl to win that deserved chip
Trubisky's problems: Bad o-line (2019-2020) Bad support and coaching (Matt nagy) Matt nagy isn't the best coach he wants players to play in his system but he doesn't have mitch play his strengths Also mitch was picked infront of mahomes and Watson in every mock draft and in some mock drafts mahomes wasn't even in the first round
I'm glad you did an actual analysis of how he played other than just showing a compilation of him missing receivers/overthrown balls and calling him trash, as well as acknowledging the other factors such as the OL.
Tbf Mahomes was seen as a project pick at the time and I think if he was removed from Andy Reid, Alex Smith, and the Chiefs we might not have gotten the version of Mahomes we see today. (Not to say he would have floundered, but the early years are massively important in the NFL for long term development) Now Watson? That dude had superstar written all over him. How the Bears could have possibly justified putting Trubisky over him is the real crime.
tyler2114 Andy was a low key genius because he knew how to build around Pat. As a Bama fan, I watched D Wats get heated up by 12-15 NFL draft picks, minus Eddie Jackson...and he made every damn play and/or throw. IDK what drugs the bears were on. They literally played in the same conference. Kinda hard not to see the difference between the two.
People thought the Khalil Mack trade wasa win for the Raiders. While true, the Bears didn't lose it. If Trubisky had been good, then they would have looked like geniuses.
Raiders clearly won that trade so far. Mack wouldn’t stay with Raiders no matter what & held out like a bitch. What was Gruden supposed to do? Saving all that money getting Jacobs & Max Crosby in the 4th rd. Crosby had more sacks than Mack. Plus they got that Safety Ambram who was injured but can ball. Mack was talking shit about the Raiders/Bears game saying it was personal & the Bears were such bad asses that he was gonna “get” Carr. Gruden takes Mack out of the game & they beat the shit out of him with Ritchie Incognito & T Brown. Mack not talking to media after game. What a surprise. Club Dub is embarrassing!!! As a Packers fan I love that the shit talking Bears are in our division!!!

@@AlexRollinsNFL I wondered why some of his throws looked like Javelin tosses? You analysis that he was jumping straight up before throwing is spot on. He's like a square peg, in a round hole. Still RAW after all these years.
Insightful.. and sad. I hope he improves. I actually like the guy.. Improve his offensive line, and he'll improve his vision. Sign Kelvin Beachum, and drop whoever's not doing their job, and restore confidence back to Mitchell. Sign Javorious Allen, and consider dropping either Tarik Cohen or David Montgomery. Allen's got good size, and can push the line of scrimmage, block, or break a big gain here, and there, and in return take pressure off Trubinsky. I get that David's a bit thicker, and tarik's a little quicker so they both get used in different situations. But Tarik only makes big plays if Mitchell trubinsky opens up the field for him with his arm, which isn't happening, and David is the bigger back that should wear down a defensive line for Trubinski except he never does! Nick Foles didn't exactly do anything for Jacksonville. Which is essentially the bears team in the AFC. Your team could've had Jalen hurts if you were really that worried about Trubinsky. But maybe I'm completely off about the tight end that they drafted. Maybe management has something planned for a good blocking tight end that can stretch the field that no one knows about.. I doubt it though. The bears seem to mismanage their team year after year. Good luck bears... Good luck..
The bears really needed to figure out the run game tho. That could have saved him alot of pressure. The kid was throwing 40 throws in losses where neither team broke 20 points
The failure of ryan pace and mvp mitch has made me almost hate my favorite team. The damage trading up to take this bust will take years to recover from
@@AlexRollinsNFL that's where i got it hahaha people were placing bets on this dunce to win mvp before the season. The sooner he's off the team the better
Playing QB gets significantly easier with a functioning running game. The bears didn't have that nor did they play well on the offensive line. When you combine those things, you put all the pressure on the QB to make plays. Doesn't mean Trubisky's a bad player!
Thanks Nathan, yes I totally agree. I don't understand how the narrative can be that Matt Nagy was a great play caller one year, and a terrible one the next
Somebody FINALLY breaks Trubisky down truthfully...I used to watch that guy Draft Dr Phil's videos, but I had to stop watching em. He was so biased towards Trubisky that it was ridiculous. He made it seem like it was always everybody else's fault and never Trubisky's.
The reason Trubisky has college-level footwork is due to the fact that he was barely a college-level starter, having really only been the starting QB for 13 games as a Junior. I liked Trubisky's game at UNC, but IMO for any team to have drafted him #2 overall and/or as the best QB on the board was an obvious mistake that the Bears are now paying for. He should have stayed 1 more year as the full-time starter at UNC - had he done so, I believe that Trubisky, and the team that would have drafted him, would both likely be better off.
With how big the NFL is, I don't understand why channels like this one don't have more subs. Even Brett Kollmann, with even more polished vids, sits at just 250k. On every play there's more going on than you can even hope to see at a glance and a slomo, so channels like this one really help an interested fan in understanding what to look at. Keep it up and have my sub!
I knew he was gonna be a bust from the moment he was drafted. He was too raw, and had very little experience. And he went to a team that was gonna start him in the first year, when in reality he need 2-3 years to sit and develop.

AlexRollinsNFL I completely agree. The injuries & the lack of continuity on the O-line at the beginning of the year certainly didn’t help. He just needs to be in a quick pass, RPO, PA scheme to thrive in. Hopefully he gets it soon!
The only tragedy of Mitch is that Ryan Pace even thought about drafting him. Hopefully, they make the correct decision of drafting Lawrence or Fields if a high draft pick but if they don't have a top 5 pick go after a quality QB like Prescott.

As for 2017, I think Pace is idiot for drafting Trubisky but I way the process went out I doubt it was because of racism. Lawrence or Fields would be great it means that Bears would have to throw away this season. I would love to see a proven QB as a Bear.
It really makes you wonder why they not only drafted him so high in the first place (over Mahomes and Watson), but traded up to do so when there wasn't much risk of anyone else taking him that high. The Bears front office is the only group of people who are surprised that it didn't work out.
@@prod.snorkle2906 Nobody knew Mahomes would be as good as he is, true. But Watson was CLEARLY going to be better than Trubisky. who had, what, 12 QB starts under his belt when he was drafted? There was no obvious reason to expect a ton from Mitch.
@@bye9360 Yeah, I agree with that. He'd be good - way better than Mitch. But you're right: with the Bears' o-line, less impressive group of WRs & TEs (not that they're bad - they'd be solid with a decent QB), and no Andy Reid (no disrespect to Nagy), Mahomes wouldn't be as otherworldly as he's been.
Hard to blame the guy for getting scared to sit in the pocket in 2019. Seriously, you should do some film review on just Charles Leno. The O-Line was downright doggy doodoo. It's the same thing as when a QB leads receivers into open hits with bad passes. The receivers learn to hate those QBs. I can tell you Mitch detested that O-line. Not defending his poor performance which was obvious, but you can tell he felt like whether or not he was gonna get tackled was more on him being fluid in the pocket rather than good protection from the line, which is just a bad recipe for a QB unless you're mahomes or something.
Chiefs and Texans fans are forever grateful for the bears getting Trubisky! Watching Mahomes and Watson go at it in the playoffs is going to be fun to watch for years
As an offensive nerd when you dropped this I said man oh man is this gonna be painful to watch😂😭 hopefully this week can be a bit more pleasing to the eye 😂😂 great vid nontheless as always
Mitch as a starter was still 8-7 last season despite missed kicks, a horrible line and a shoulder injury the required a brace and surgery after the season. He only had 10 picks in 15 games. So yes they went from 12-4 to 8-8 but with a couple good kicks and a Chase Daniel loss that could have been a win they were potentially 11-5 or better. So it wasn’t all that tragic and Mitch was not the bears main issue.
AlexRollinsNFL the line has been neglected for a long while now. I still believe cutler could’ve been the guy if we protected him earlier in his career as well. Chicago has a habit of eating up their qbs. It’s hard to watch sometimes

The tragedy was that the Bears traded away Jordan Howard and 70% of their running game. Trubisky doesn't come up with the game plan, he just has to try to execute it. Watch the game film and you see the O-line blocking like shit on play after play. The QB can't do everything.

If there was another wide receiver that was viable and a better offensive line... Do you think he might have a better chance of becoming a franchise quarterback? Not to mention, inconsistent play calling by management. This guy is better than he is being given credit for. My concern is that he will go somewhere else where they have a real offensive line and a couple of weapons in the wide receiver core and be a much better quarterback. Then what will people say? I think he is massively underrated and he has not had the opportunity or weapons that other quarterbacks have had to play to their best utility. I'm not calling him the second coming of John Elway or Peyton Manning... But if you look at his actual numbers versus other QBs he really is not that bad and he has much less weapons to deal with. Not to mention the guy is still young he didn't get drafted in the first round because he didn't have any talent. Multiple other teams were eyeballing him as high as he went. Multiple.
I know your comment was a year ago, But i agree with your comment, I'm a Steelers fan and as you know Mitch is now the presumed starting QB for the Steelers this year, I really didn't know much about Trubisky before the Steelers picked him up. I agree completely. I’m happy to see him get a solid opportunity. He seems like a solid guy and I think he has way more talent than he has been getting credit for.
I think he will be gone after next season. I think they will draft Justin Fields to sit behind Nick Foles, parodying what happened with Mahomes, Alex Smith and Andy Reid. Trubisky is another in the countless examples of QBs who were playing before they're ready.
The 2019 disaster is the fans that don’t want to hear that he injured his throwing shoulder, and even though he tried to man up because The backup sucked,…they threw him under the bus for trying. THAT is the 2019 disaster because those idiots never let up on the guy after that. No matter what he did, even when he won, they hated him and blamed everything on him for that point on. Those idiots are and their constant grating on him is what drove Trubisky out of Chicago. Nagy bought into that crap because Trubisky was not HIS guy. They never bothered to draft any offensive linemen for him, and then blamed HIM for getting sacked and berated him for not being a pocket passer. Foles worked out so well with that same line. I like Fields, but I hope NAGY falls flat on his face for what he did to Trubisky..

I’m just hoping Nick Foles’ presence will force Trubisky into learning how to make these decisions and play better and help teach him how to succeed. Because like it or not, I Guarantee both foles and Trubisky are getting starts this year and I would like to see my team win as many games as possible
Honestly, his stats regressed, but I still felt like he was pretty bad in 2018-19. I recall texting my brother, “Trubisky is not an NFL QB. He can’t make a read to save his life.” I’m not sure that his 18-19 season was anything more than an anomaly, despite it being relatively average statistic-wise. Great video Alex, hope you’re feeling better.
I know this video was two months ago but I had a epiphany about the Chicago Bears and Mitchell trubisky in 2019.... Trubisky basically play the same other than running the football which that was a part of coach Nagy decision to tell him that.... Also every receiver and tight end on the team including running backs failed to catch the ball other than Allen Robinson.... On top of that the defense dropped off horribly from 2018.... See trubisky play exactly the same other than the running early in the season but everybody else around him fell off so the disappointment wasn't trubisky it was everybody else.... Prove me wrong because he actually threw last interceptions in the same amount of games but he didn't throw us as many touchdowns as 2018 because couldn't nobody hold on to The Ball
Nice breakdown I said this from jump with him I am also going on record right now that Trevor Lawrence will be the same results as MT he has bad habits on film and miss reads coverages also. In the NFL it will come out if he doesn’t correct it.
Im obviously not a scout but i think those guys overthink things way too much sometimes. I didnt watch Mahommes in college but I watched alot of Watson and i thought he was a no brainer to be the first QB off the board that year. All he did was win and he was a great leader.
I think it's unfair for people to go back and say how could you not draft Mahomes because of the ?s he had in college. But I definitely agree about Watson, what he did in college and his experience.. it's like what happened?
I just really feel bad for all the defensive stars the Bears have, Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller, ... They could easily make a super bowl with a slightly above average offense.
I love this video I love the breakdown of it and I love the X's and O's explanation to a never a football player like me. What I'm most infuriated at is why does the general manager Ryan Pace still have a job? After trading first-round pick after first-round pick and even saying he was more less putting his job on the line if Mitch didn't work out why is he still in Halas Hall? How many general managers get to choose four different quarterbacks for tons of money? ======= I was never a Mitch Trubisky fan, but I wonder if he was slighted because the guy that was supposed to play the first year of Mitch, Mike Glennon I think his name, he was so bad I can't even remember his name, but I recall Pace signing him to 18 million dollars, and thus Forced the Bears to play Mitch because Glennon and was so "stepping on his woo-hoo". And for the guys that say how much tore up their teams: your teams are just simply out of division stupid. If you saw the Packers and the Vikings and to some extent the Lions they made sure to keep a linebacker wide so Mitch could not roll out. When Mitch would roll out that linebacker Woodfire straight up the field at him taking away time and space. ===== A spare fans have gone from " Jay is going to throw us the ball " to "We want Mitch to play quarterback", both quotes from opposing teams with the ladder I know coming from a Green Bay secondary player.
I feel bad for Allen Robinson through all of this. On one hand he got paid, which the Jaguars should have done but you can't let the picture of health and consistency with warm butter for hands Marqise Lee walk, but on the other hand he got stuck playing with NFC Blake Bortles. Now he gets the picture of health, absolute pillar of consistency, has been wildly successful everywhere outside of Philadelphia, and thrived under every coach he's played for not named Chip Kelly or Doug Pederson: *Nick Foles.* I'm sorry Bears fans.
Totally agree DT, he was very frustrated on film after a play and was open quite often. Crazy how he's put up the numbers he has with Bortles and Mitch
AlexRollinsNFL He isn’t Julio, AB, Hopkins, or Thomas but he is definitely in the tier right below them. I cry when I think of what could’ve been if Justin Blackmon hadn’t had a substance abuse problem when A-Rob was still in Jacksonville or what Minshew could do with a A-Rob/DJ Chark combo
Here’s the thing. I’m not a Trubisky truther, but the entire team last year went through a regression. Nagy couldn’t play call for his life. National Best writers have reported that “the Bears became predictable.” The week 11 play you mention wasn’t a potential 70 yard TD, Tarik Cohen ran a terrible route. He was always running towards the sideline last year because he had no confidence going up the middle due to his size. The receivers outside of Allen Robinson had too many dropped passes and bad route running (Anthony Miller didn’t look like himself until week 12 against the Giants). The O Line didn’t help the run game either. I think that’s what would’ve helped Trubisky even more was a more consistent run game. Montgomery could be a good runner if Nagy can include him in the game plan more often. You can’t win with Trubisky throwing 40 times a game, he isn’t Mahomes or Watson. Look at what the Vikings did with Kirk Cousins and the 49ers with Jimmy Garrapolo. Average QBs, but with an amazing run game. The defense will be fine, but the offense overall, not just the QB has to step up. I personally think Trubisky starts week 1 because a shortened offseason with no preseason is a disadvantage to Foles with no time to build a relationship with new teammates and coaches. But Trubisky will have a very short leash. The second he shows he can’t handle it, Foles will take over. As a Bears fan, the best case scenario is Trubisky figures it out and plays the whole season. He doesn’t need to be a MVP, he just needs to minimize his mistakes, trust his stuff, use his legs more often and focus on mechanics. Reading defenses isn’t easy, not everyone can be like Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady when dissecting an opponents, but he has to understand the basics. And Nagy better step up as a play caller. I truly hope a new coaching staff on offense will help. The Offense can only go up compared to last year. 🐻 ⬇️
I agree Trubisky got uncomfortable in the pocket, sped thru his throws, had bad mechanics, but there was growth as the season went on. We also know injuries were an issue. Even so there are some beautiful throws you left out to go with the bad, and honestly not enough film review. So I don't see the book as written yet with Trubisky and I also do not see Foles as the clear cut winner, even if he does, I don't see him playing the whole season. I see his career arch and ceiling similar to that of Alex Smith, I really think he just needs time, but make or break is now
IMO mitch is a good qb if he's playing in the right circumstances, but that's one of his biggest flaws. The bears have never been good at complimenting their qb and mitch's confidence is so easily swayed. Example: Khalil Mack's first game when the bears played the packers, Khalil manhandled the packers and Mitch coasted, but once Rodgers came back and lead a comeback, Mitch froze like a deer in the headlights in the fourth quarter and lost the game. However, when they played the bucs, Mitch got hot and stayed hot, throwing 6tds. Or, the cowboys, Mitch started a little slow but once he got going he got going. I'm glad Mitch is starting the season but I think Nagy should decide whether or not to keep him as the starter after the third game
When I was studying his film, the wide receivers were SO frustrated, it was disheartening to watch. Mostly Anthony Miller, but you could tell ARob was too.
@@AlexRollinsNFL bears need to simplify thing's and give him better pre snap reads. Motion or even by formation hes horrible reading after the snap lol
Oof... what an omen for his attempt at redemption with Pittsburgh... had me ripping my hair out as a Steelers fan... relieved he is no longer with the team.
As much as Mahomes is the solid choice right now he was not my first choice. I thought the bears should've drafted the Watson as he was proven at the time.
throwing accurate passes is one thing that has nothing to do with coaching, who the coach is or anything else. that's all you. Now the receiver being able to catch passes is a different story. that's on him.
He was kinda doomed from the start. As a rookie, for one game, he was behind Glennon, and then thrown into the starting position. He can run really good. But if he had sat for awhile behind someone decent, he definitely would have learned and had the potential to become a franchise QB
Chicago fans were impatient with Mitch at times but overall always understood Mitch was a great guy with an even better work ethic. He just didn’t have what it took to be an nfl starter. It’s not his fault pace traded up and took him over Watson and mahomes. He was a consummate pro during his time here and i legit don’t know anyone who speaks ill of him anymore
Trubisky will probably always be my favorite player. Throws a beautiful ball. Has touch. Great athlete. Great guy. But his processing seems subpar and offense just doesn't move with him enough. The game is still too fast to him. A comparison you look at Mahomes to whom the game appears slow. You cannot appreciate how important it is at the nfl level regardless of your height, strength, speed, etc to be able to see game slow. Look at Brock Purdy. The QB position is all about how you can feel the game and react. The best see it slower than others. Even though things happen in fractions of a second. If I was Trubisky I would hire a private detective to identify Joe Burrows training. And I would replicate it exactly.
Is it just me or is there an express from Denver (who desperately have needed a quarterback), and Chicago (who ALWAYS need a quarterback), that WHEN you don't make it at one you seem to migrate to the other?
Part of that s*** is on the offensive coordinator , why would you run an all curl route past the Defenders when the Defenders are playing 15 yards off the ball if you're doing a good curl route you run under the defense
@@AlexRollinsNFL obviously but you don't run a play that's not going to work against that defense that play would not work against that defense I don't give a damn if you had Tom Brady throwing the ball, it doesn't matter what the down is you don't throw a curl by running past the Defenders
Dear lord what is that first play. He has no less than two curl routes open there, yet throws it to the one that isn't. Both Gabriel and Patterson are open and possible to hit if he's on time.

That Clowney film gunna be NICE

As a Bears fan drafting Mitch over Watson and Mahomes will probably haunt me the rest of my life. Either of those guys with this defense, and the bears are a legit title contender probably for the next decade.

Trubisky's problems:
Bad o-line (2019-2020)
Bad support and coaching (Matt nagy) Matt nagy isn't the best coach he wants players to play in his system but he doesn't have mitch play his strengths
Also mitch was picked infront of mahomes and Watson in every mock draft and in some mock drafts mahomes wasn't even in the first round
I'm glad you did an actual analysis of how he played other than just showing a compilation of him missing receivers/overthrown balls and calling him trash, as well as acknowledging the other factors such as the OL.
Thanks Laryece, glad you liked it. Context is important
whats scary about mitch is he kept getting worse and worse as the season progressed. he crumbled mentally.
Never forget he was drafted higher than Mahomes
Something tells me we're going to be reminded of that until the end of time
And Deshaun Watson
Tbf Mahomes was seen as a project pick at the time and I think if he was removed from Andy Reid, Alex Smith, and the Chiefs we might not have gotten the version of Mahomes we see today. (Not to say he would have floundered, but the early years are massively important in the NFL for long term development)
Now Watson? That dude had superstar written all over him. How the Bears could have possibly justified putting Trubisky over him is the real crime.
tyler2114 Andy was a low key genius because he knew how to build around Pat.

There is no way Ryan Pace can be allowed to pick the next QB. No way...
His punkself shouldn't even have a job. I don't get how he was to make decisions in the off-season
Nice breakdown I said this from jump with him I am also going on record right now that Trevor Lawrence will be the same results as MT he has bad habits on film and miss reads coverages also. In the NFL it will come out if he doesn’t correct it.
Thanks Shawn
Im obviously not a scout but i think those guys overthink things way too much sometimes. I didnt watch Mahommes in college but I watched alot of Watson and i thought he was a no brainer to be the first QB off the board that year. All he did was win and he was a great leader.
I think it's unfair for people to go back and say how could you not draft Mahomes because of the ?s he had in college. But I definitely agree about Watson, what he did in college and his experience.. it's like what happened?
How does Ryan Pace still have a job. Not even just this I can go on for hours about his past decisions.
I just really feel bad for all the defensive stars the Bears have, Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller, ... They could easily make a super bowl with a slightly above average offense.
I feel the same, and honestly their window is closed. You can only hold a defense that talented for a few seasons
@@AlexRollinsNFL yeah I feel their window is closed.

I was never a Mitch Trubisky fan, but I wonder if he was slighted because the guy that was supposed to play the first year of Mitch, Mike Glennon I think his name, he was so bad I can't even remember his name, but I recall Pace signing him to 18 million dollars, and thus Forced the Bears to play Mitch because Glennon and was so "stepping on his woo-hoo".
=====
A spare fans have gone from " Jay is going to throw us the ball " to "We want Mitch to play quarterback", both quotes from opposing teams with the ladder I know coming from a Green Bay secondary player.
And this makes me happy knowing the Raiders don’t have to pay $200 mil for Mack and Cooper
A video on Kedon Slovis would be AWESOME
I'll take a look when he's coming out
I feel bad for Allen Robinson through all of this. On one hand he got paid, which the Jaguars should have done but you can't let the picture of health and consistency with warm butter for hands Marqise Lee walk, but on the other hand he got stuck playing with NFC Blake Bortles. Now he gets the picture of health, absolute pillar of consistency, has been wildly successful everywhere outside of Philadelphia, and thrived under every coach he's played for not named Chip Kelly or Doug Pederson:
*Nick Foles.*
I'm sorry Bears fans.
As a Packers fan, love watching this lol. Great analysis though!
Thanks for this. Fascinating if deeply depressing video.
Glad you liked it Elerad, thanks
This was beautifully done
Thanks brother!
I see his career arch and ceiling similar to that of Alex Smith, I really think he just needs time, but make or break is now
And the Steelers now think they can win with Mitch......... don’t bet on it.
This break down was brutal to watch.
When I was studying his film, the wide receivers were SO frustrated, it was disheartening to watch. Mostly Anthony Miller, but you could tell ARob was too.
@@AlexRollinsNFL I'm a Washington fan haskins did improve as season went on. He's a pocket passed the game hopefully slows down for him this season.
If the Bears Drafted Watson or Mahomes how many SBs do have in the last three years?

People like you won’t shut up. Mitch was the best QB prospect in the 2017 class and nobody knew Mahomes was gonna be this good.
If mitch was lucky to get picked by the chiefs he would have 2 rings. Grab some bench
@@prod.snorkle2906 everyone looks in hindsight but forget the story lines going into the draft
@@blockhead1402 He would still suck what are you talking about?
and they traded up for him, but it's not like the 49ers did much with drafting Solomon Thomas
Now that takes CONVICTION
🖕
throwing accurate passes is one thing that has nothing to do with coaching, who the coach is or anything else. that's all you. Now the receiver being able to catch passes is a different story. that's on him.
Bears trading up and still drafting over mahomes and Watson has to be the worst draft pick in sports history
My man's is back. The voice of a God
Haha we tryin out here
He was kinda doomed from the start.
As a packers fan this makes me very happy
Its the receiver’s job to run a solid curl, not a lazy curl. Trubisky’s pass was right on cue.
Poor Mitch. Seems like such a nice guy. Grew up not far from where I live. Just not a very good qb.
Thanks... maybe a film about the future of the Washington football team?
I did one on Chase Young a few months back.. Haskins is on the list at some point
It was third and long
@@AlexRollinsNFL obviously but you don't run a play that's not going to work against that defense that play would not work against that defense I don't give a damn if you had Tom Brady throwing the ball, it doesn't matter what the down is you don't throw a curl by running past the Defenders
I mean how do you expect that to work if you do a curl by running past the defender and then coming back your running right back to the defender
Dear lord what is that first play. He has no less than two curl routes open there, yet throws it to the one that isn't. Both Gabriel and Patterson are open and possible to hit if he's on time.
Hard for him to come off the read to Patterson, but not hitting Gabriel is inexcusable. Gotta have a plan every single play
@@AlexRollinsNFL Yeah, that's the third read obviously, but he has to realize that Robinson is completely packed into coverage there. Not like running all curl is such a difficult concept either. Inexcusable to screw it up that badly
Guy showed for me at least what I needed to see. I don't believe he will be much better than what we already saw. Bears should move on, but Foles is a terrible idea! He is not a starter and will be decent at best. They will be on the run again for a good qb soon, maybe next season
