Auden Tate and Marlon Mack. Tate because he and Burrow have been lighting it up in camp with AJ Green sidelined. Every single clutch situation Burrow has been hitting Tate and that says something about trust more than anything else. Plus we know AJ won't play 16. Probably not even 10 if I had to bet on it. He'll have plenty of opportunity. Mack because even tho he is a starter and splits time Philip Rivers has been targeting Running backs like crazy his whole career. And it hasn't changed in camp. Even tho he splits time with the rookie Taylor I smell high end RB 2 because Mack people forget actually killed it receiving in college and there's more emphasis on the passing game with RB's in Indy. I can see his targets doubling and depending on Taylor's status week to week maybe more which means more all around production. Would not shock me to see him get 1500 total yards or more

My breakout player this year will actually be Alex Rollins. I mean with more famous guys like Brett Kollmann or Strong Opinion Sports, you expect great results, but Rollins will be my sleeper superstar in my fantasy football analysist league. Even though he's a 49ers fan.
AJ Brown has low volume but high efficiency last year. He’s like a low-budget Tyreek Hill. Can have 4 catches for 100+ yards and a TD. But can also be silenced whole game if those big plays don’t come. Ridley was consistent later last year after they got rid of Sanu. I think Ridley is a better pick between these two. He’s a solid WR2 with upside.

@@alexhussey7836 It was a tough debate between Brown and Ridley, but I went Ridley because i think the Falcons offense will be super explosive and with Julio getting a lot of attention Ridley will get plenty of good looks. Also think Tennessee relies on Henry in the run game more so than passing
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. Cause I made the choice to draft Ridley, and got a solid fantasy team because of it, my only problems are that the teams I have played have popped off for 145 points+
Matt Ryan may have looked towards Ridley and not Julio on that mirrored route concept due to the coaches' desire (or Matt Ryan's) to target a particularly weak defensive back or one that there is a good matchup against. Just thought I'd mention that, it's hard to know without knowing exactly what they've been told to do
Julio also separated on that route, though not as much as Ridley did. But hey, 1-2 yards of separation in the nfl are like a mile in every other league haha.
Got my son a stiched new style uniform (all black) Ridley jersey, got my wife a Julio jersey (red/black fade) and my all white Gurley jersey will be here monday. Cant wait, Rise up!!
On the first play of the breakdown (against Lattimore) his release and route running looks so more explosive and better than Sanu (who is not even a bad WR) side by side
While I agree, watch Sanu's release again. Notice how he's not firing off the ball like Ridley, Sanu is running an option route. He's using Ridley as a shield to try and gain leverage to attack the CB
One of my favorite wrs definitely getting 1k this year ! Great analysis. I think the only thing that is worth mentioning is that his targets when Sanu left are skewed by the games where Hooper was injured. The games where Hooper was active after Sanu left, looks like Russell Gage actually soaked up most of those targets. But nonetheless I agree that he's gonna break out
That's a great point, but with Hooper now gone I didn't think it was worth mentioning. I like Hurst late in fantasy this year (8,9,10th round) but I don't think he's proven to be anywhere near Hooper's production.
The main differences between the two is that DJ could see less volume and is less talented as of 2019. For DJ, he’s up against New WR, new QB, new OC and unlike Ridley who’s success rate against man and press is 77.6% and has a success rate on every route of 73+% except post (66.7%) where as DJ was below 60 on 3 route trees and only posted a 61.7% against man and 68.1% against press, so he’s not really a true #1 statistically, and he’s competing with 2-3 legitimate 100+ target receivers (McCaffrey, Samuels, and Anderson) vs. Ridley who’s on the pass happiest offense in the NFL, and is only competing against Julio, Gurley and Hurst. Most of Moores success was on short routes where he was heavily targeted by Allen because Allen was unconfident and terrible deep. Teddy is actually an excellent Deep passer and may hit Anderson and Samuels much more deep. I really doubt Gurley and Hurst will see 100+ targets, so while Moore may finish near the top 12 if everything magically breaks right for him, he doesn’t have the same talent or opportunity as Ridley and I’m having trouble justifying why everyone is so high on Moore when he’s got more Competition for Targets, with a new Head Coach, OC, and QB, where as Ridley has the same QB, and is more skilled
Frederick Schmalz for sure, once the ball is in his hands, he’s like an AJ Brown, albeit less physical and more speed and acceleration. I just think DJ is overhyped, and could end up like Allen Robinson in 2018 or Amari Cooper and be a solid WR on a decent/less than good team with a lot of options aside from him and really disappoint weekly
@@GabrielGonzalez-sg4xf Sure. But now Evans has Brady..... No comparison. Greatest ever vs Winston who just created the 30/30 club for QBs (previously reserved for baseball players only)
Jameis was exceptional for Evans and Godwin’s fantasy value. You want a qb who doesn’t care if a pass gets intercepted, because it means more overall volume. Volume is king, always. Winston himself was easily a QB1 because of sheer volume. Fantasy value and real life success are not interchangeable
I have a mock draft that goes along with. This is how I see the future playing out with Atlanta. I think this will be Dan Quinn's last season. They'll go between 7-9 to 9-7, at most be a 7 seed. Dan Quinn will be fired, and they will hire Nick Serianni, where he will implement an offensive scheme similar to what Frank Reich, Andy Reid and Doug Pederson use. The falcons will draft Deonte Brown, and Travis Etienne and the following season go 10-6 to 11-5.
Hey Alex, thanks for another great breakdown! What are your thoughts on another potential 3rd-year breakout in DJ Chark who will be the go-to guy for his offense this year?
Thanks Tasman. I would say Chark already broke out last year, which doesn't mean he won't be good this season. I think he's an intriguing option a bit later in drafts, you'll see him in the 130-150 target range which is fantasy gold, but if the offense is as bad as Jax offense is projected to be, they'll have difficulty maintaining drives/ scoring TDs which could hurt Chark.
With the recent firing we need to draft Waddle and get Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields without trading Matt so the new Aire apparent can learn from Matt's experience. It may seem crazy but we have to trade Julio white he has value. Trading Matt isn't possible because he has too much left on his contract.
