Oh the M50. One of my favorite ships.
She looks sleek, packs a decent punch for her size and handles beautifully.
With two S1 Shields she can take the same punishment as most other light/medium fighters before having to disengage.
She's just got a soft spot in my heart.

Been a massive fan of the m50 for ages as speed and movement is my game. I use it for big game hunting. Basically, if you focus on shotguns (laser or ballistic) and coolers, you can use its unhittable frame and speed to stay on large ships broadside and rip it to pieces. I'm sure that will change with armour in the future, but currently its a great fighter for speed loving pilots ^^
Used to know a pilot who did a great job doing just that!
I flew this last night.. So much fun. Even flew it throught the cargo bay of a C2! Saving for one now!!

i have an M50 and mostly use it for fun flying on surfaces. it's biggest advantage is that it can be retrieved at surface stations that have platinum bay services.

No clue why a racing ship would have more shielding than a fighter like the Arrow.
The Arrow is underpowered on shields :(

You're right!
I wonder if you can fit one in a carrack to act as an escort fighter. Or even to use interdiction to prevent the ship from being followed so it can escape using multiple destinations and then the M50 could use its speed to disengage and QT out as well. In the future, as more features to the game are introduced and functional, I think the M50 is going to find itself becoming more and more popular.
It's a good choice for 'snub' in a lot of ships!
I really like my M50. It's great to cruise around in and sometimes I'll take it on execution warrants and stunt on the AI.
What weapons do you use?
@@Farrister I like to use the Dominance scatterguns if I know I'm going up against something big like a constellation in one of the ECN alerts, or the NDB Neutron repeaters for pretty much anything else.
M50 is the Ferrari F40 of Star Citizen. It's a cockpit with a giant engine strapped to it.
Pretty much lol - although fairly good handling too (eg compared to 350R)

I park it in the hanger of my carrack. My thoughts are in the future I'll use my carrack to get to distant places and my m50 to explore!

Well, my car is a 350Z, so naturally I had to have a 350R In game. Probably get an M50 soon as well. It's ship of the month right now, and lots of fun
Do you just buy with alpha UEC?
@@Farrister I can never accumulate that much UEC. In previous patches, 30k errors would eat 80% of my profits, this patch my cat or Carrack just vanish before my eyes with full cargos.
No, it's cash. That way I keep them through resets.
Also. Even if I wasn't losing most of my earnings 1.2 millones is still about 20 hours of grind. $100 is about 8 hours of work.
Can the M50 be summoned at a vehicle pad? I want a small ship as an emergency back up if I get stranded. I thought I could do that with the Pisces but apparently not. But I do enjoy having the C8 as a dinghy or small runabout
Probably yes since this is SIze 1 ship, but i would suggest other size 1 ships: Talon, Origin 85X or Origin 100 series.
I use 135c in this role.
85X seems to be the cheapest option.
M50 is horribly overpriced and doesn't fit any role in current state of the game.
I’m looking to buy one to put the fastest quantum I can get my hand on in it so I can get from point a to b in the verse quickly could it handle a jump across the verse withought needing refuel?
Sadly I think if you do upgrade the QD you'll lose range

When I get bored of the Gladius, I'll string numerous VHRT and Group VHRT bounties with the M50.... I wouldn't say it's limited to "weak" combat missions.
That's very impressive! The combat missions have changed a little since 3.11, although I'd say for most players that would be a bit too advanced!
The M50 was my go to personal shuttle, but with the 315p I couldn't justify the price difference/use.
M50 is much quicker though!

Honestly the 300 Series is just Origins workhouse and probably the most useful Origin ships. I love Origin’s design language, the M50 is one of the most fun to fly but in term of usage/price-performance ratio the only ships from Origin worth it are the 300 series (probably even excluding the significantly more expensive 350r)
How many M50s could fit inside an origin 890 jump? 🤔
I bet at least one can fit in the cargo ramp. And 3 or 4 in the hangar. Making the 890 jump a luxury carrier lol.

I thought it was the A-Wing at first, but since they removed the 'interceptor-ness' for the time being, I suspect our true A-Wing has yet to reveal herself. There's certain boxes I need ticked, and neither this, the Razor, or Arrow quite have it. If I could have all in one, then definitely. I want a viable center-of-ship bubble canopy cockpit, twin engine interceptor.
I just like to fly around in it, whenever I do fly it, it's not to make money

M50 imo is probably one of the most annoying little ship to fight in a dog fight, very fast, agile with a small cross section ( a bit hard to target), especially in pvp situation. I even watched AV1 dog-fighting against M50 player and it was pretty tight/intense dog fight.

It's weird that this ship has slightly less visibility than the 100-series. I think it's because you're sitting back and lower a bit more.

I put fl-22 on mine and I blow shit up fast.
The cockpit is reminiscent of an F1 car.
I suppose it is a little - the MISC Razor feels even more so!

I dont know if its a bug or not, but flying it atmosphere this ship is terrible. You cant go remotely fast without the ship steering off on its own.

@@Farrister Do let me know how it goes! Ive brought it up in a FB group and people are telling me its the aerodynamics of it and short wing span. However, I dont see a "Racing" ship handling poorly, not to mention the p52 merlin flies at higher speeds with no issues.
When you test it out, try pitching and yawing, this caused my m50 to violently point straight up or down.
how you gonna review something when you fly over the safe mark you lagg out in the game dear players if you are looking to buy in do it because you wanna play and do not buy nothing until you try it your self
