      @@cityrat3237 It's a parody. Everything in this movie is exaggerated and over-the-top, right down to the outfits. It is also rooted in a cultural degenerate, hyper-commercialized and sexualized dystopia filled with narcissists and celebrities who care far too much about image but lack substance. That is the setting. All of these things define modern woke culture.
      For those who behave like that in real life, the woke crowd might cheer, but most people think they are a freaks. And there is a deep irony that we are moving closer to that reality with this sort of behavior being normalized. Notice the comments about tiktokers. It is a sign of cultural rot that this movie, which once again is based in a dystopia, is portraying.

    • @ficialintelligence1869
      @ficialintelligence1869 Год назад

      I disagree. I'm betting that Guardians of the Galaxy mimic this vibe (somewhat). But _only_ Guardians of the Galaxy. Other franchises have tried to mimic GotG's rhythm and flow, but utterly fail, and I can always tell the movies that are trying to mimic it: both live action Suicide Squad films and the Black Adam movie. They utterly failed. But you are definitely correct about the gender-bending Ruby Rhod. Any attempt to recreate a character like him today would be labeled "woke" by detractors.
