It was like hearing that the folks who worked on Lord of The Rings had a very bittersweet departure as well. You spend so much time on these projects and give so much of yourself to them and then they have to end at some point. It must be heartbreaking.

The first time I saw Milla, she was featured in a teen magazine. The stylist mentioned that Milla insisted on having waves instead of curls. Hair wavers are very much back in fashion. It's proof on how fashion is so cyclical. I've been a fan of hers ever since. She's a multilingual model, actress/action star, singer/songwriter/musician....modern Renaissance woman.

One of my top ten favorites, Her the world they created, the story, the grit and texture of the scenes, a mix of futuristic and lived in, decay and polish. All put together with this fantastic story weaving real entertainment that was relatable... Plus she is one of my favorite action characters of all time.

Since the early 2000’s my dad has always put The Fifth Element & Water World on repeat all day long. They were playing on our living room tv at all hours of the day. 😄 When I visit today, he’s still playing those two movies. I’m 32 now and I do have an appreciation for these classics. They’re some of my favorites and they always make me think of my dad. 😊

The Fifth Element is my all time favorite movie and it's because of Milla Jovovich's stellar performance in it. It still blows my mind she was only 19 when filming it because she embodies such a strong character with thousands of years of wisdom and strength behind her so convincingly... Well done! And yes it was only a minor hit here in Canada on initial release. I saw it on opening day and it was maybe a quarter filled. But since then? Almost everyone I know has seen it multiple times... Can't wait to see what she's working on next!

She's such a class act and was always a better actor than her characters asked for. I would love to see her doing more art, period and drama films. And I watched the Fifth Element every time it was on cable TV, like 20 times already. It is a great movie. Milla was my Barbarella.

Love this movie and big Milla fan, but ehhh on the acting. She's had roles that demanded more acting skill and it wasn't great. The Messenger being a good example, Milla and Luc again, but ehhh.
Now her music, that is underappreciated.

Indeed! Recently bought a Sony OLED and got the 4k disc for this - watched it about a week ago and it really is masterful. I've been buying 4k discs of old flicks like crazy, and it's amazing how many movies I used to love are pretty "meh" today... but not The Fifth Element. Still frickin' amazing.
