    We had a Nissan AWD Rogue we bought less than a year ago from a private party. We took great care of it. Drove fine. The other night we heard a clunk and that was the end of the Jatco CVT transmission.
    Rather than spend $5,000 for a new transmission, we sold it it a pick a part place for $425. Oh well. It was cheaper than renting a car for 11 months, if we had rented by the day.
    Borrowed my son’s 1998 Toyota Avalon with 250,000 miles. It still drives better than the Nissan. It looks so bad, there was a panhandler outside the post office asking everyone for money. He saw me get out of the Avalon, he didn’t ask me.
    It would be a great car in LA. Comfortable ride and no chance of being carjacked.
    Going to wait for prices to come down. It’s ridiculous. With the price of gas, I’m ready to start hitchhiking and take my chances on a man in a raincoat, with a hook hand, driving a white, windowless van.

I absolutely love the car I have never been happier with a vehicle. Pros: everything. Lots of compliments , plenty of power and all the features.. cons. If something falls between the seats you have to be parked most times to recover said item. (Being very picky) bluetooth always connects.. but it may take a fewtrys .. and I had to replace a front strut at 86 k miles and had a hard time finding it, had it been the driver side I would still be waiting.. tha being said I love I

      @WorksforMe 2 года назад +7

      @@MikeyBadabingBadaboom yes I agree. From my experience its all about the maintenance. As long as you take care of the car almost any reputed brand is going to work just fine. However when abused the story changes. Toyota's do seem to hold out better when abused because they are slower to make changes in their manufacturing (more durable tried out designs) . It is also my belief that their car design philosophy is meant for the Asian market where there aren't many DIY'ers so cars are meant to last longer maintenance intervals.
