When Blade saves the child, the bus just keeps on going as if nothing has happened. I can't be the only one who notice's that car and buses in movies don't seem to have any brakes in them. The reason why I say this is because that, there are many movies there'll be somebody in the middle of a road, either they'll be thrown into or stumble into the road, they'll be in the road for a good amount of time for somebody to put on their brakes before hitting them.
He was as far as his dialogue goes. It was very on point with showing him to be a sociopath who only cared about being the vampire leader and nothing else and he would bowl over anyone (human or vampire) to reach that goal. I only wished we had seen more of this on display in his actions. Aside from him killing Dragonetti, sucking the cop dry for letting Blade punk him, beating up Whistler, and tossing this girl into the street, we don't see too much other heinous stuff from him that would make us really burn anger to see Blade take him out. I would have liked to have seen him take out more humans in this film or show more cop familiars take unsuspecting humans (maybe a couple off the street) into the station only to be bitten by Frost and other vampires. That would have made the vampires more of a threat to the humans like their society is controlled by the vampires.
Interesting post. I see what you mean, though I was satisfied with the display of villainy from Frost in this movie. Can't believe it'll be 20 years soon since this awesome movie premiered in the theaters. I feel that because Deacon Frost was very much changed in the movie from his comic book counterpart, that could be why you felt there wasn't enough heinous actions shown in the movie that would truly fuel us as the moviegoing audience to root for Blade to really kill him. Deacon Frost in the comic books was more twisted and malicious compared to this hip, suave almost pretty-boyish 90's looking version of him. But regardless of any major liberties taken, I still found this Deacon Frost to be a very formidable foe for Blade and him turning La Magra is a huge payoff in the end. I think I know what would've made you satisfied with this Deacon Frost in the movie, if they had included it into the final cut. It was a deleted scene where Karen is held captive in the Edgewood Towers with Frost and Mercury. As they have their conversation, they talk(debate) about vampirism as evolution or a virus/STD. So in that scene, Karen asks how Frost and his vampires will be able to feed if the whole world gets turned into vampires. Frost showed Karen that they were testing out freezing humans, putting them in catatonic vegetable states and taking their blood from them. As they heal and replenish from that, their blood will continue being drained from them and stored somewhere. It repeats. Once the blood tide and La Magra awakens, Frost said that production will have to be ramped up and more humans would be rounded up ready to go. Karen was, of course, disgusted by it. If that scene were included, it would've been icing on the cake for your expectations of this villain on the big screen. :)

I cannot even say what made this movie so amazing, but every single part was excellent. As awesome and amazing at Wesley Snipe was (and still is) his supporting cast was A+ as well -- the directors, the producers -- everybody made this movie a huge success, but Wesley Snipes aka Blade was definitely unforgettable!!
Have you read the stories where men rape women in NY and nobody stops to help, even with dozens of people around? True story. Also, I heard plenty of cries after Blade fired.
Certainly the most charming in a malevolent way lol and somehow I don't hate him even though he's a sociopath lol he's interesting and compelling as a villain as Blade is as a anti hero
You can tell that Blade feels absolute disdain for Frost because his first word is "Sunblock". He doesn't care about anything he had to say, he just wanted to insult him
And how did she survive. Blade isn't such a good vampire hunter. The girl's body demolished a bus stop and she still survived unscathed. Obviously a vampire
Debatable, he had the thirst which was more or less handled by serum, but at one point Whistler mentions he ages like a human. That would be the biggest drawback.
I don't know if any of you know this but this was actually the very first time that blade and frost had any kind of interaction on set Steven dorff had just met Wesley Snipes that day and Wesley came in in character. they started the scenes in character and if you watch the director's cut the film you will find out that they actually did not get along very well.
I feel like blades a bit irrational. Frost “ I’m offering you a truce, I want you with us.” Blade: unnecessarily reveals information Frost (seemingly impressed and clearly open to dialogue:) so you know about the blood God?” Blade: “Your nothing to me but another dead vampire.” ...Well, sh!t man.
Black panther and Blade are on different level. I know Stephen Dorf can't be replaced. He absolutely killed that role. The entire cast was phenomenal. I would give Stephen Dorf a million out of 10 stars!

Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; [15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. [16] For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

1 John 1:8-10 KJV
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

He only charges 8 bucks an hour and a popsicle from the fridge. Can’t turn that down. And possibly their blood.
“Frost, your nothing to me but another dead vampire “
I've never seen a supervillan as cocky as Frost. He Pwned Blade in every angle he only lost as he was unaware of the EDTA darts.
3:02 - I always did say that this was the first "TRUE" bullet time scene.
Exactly!
The Matrix
Matrix came after this film
Max Payne
Blade came 4 years before max Payne. It’s the undisputed first.
Frost must be seriously quick to be dodging those bullets like that lol.
Well, he is a vampire
ahhh 1998, where you could fire a gun in a public park and nobody even cares
Have you read the stories where men rape women in NY and nobody stops to help, even with dozens of people around? True story. Also, I heard plenty of cries after Blade fired.
@@prestonorrick4317 lol omg
and also a Man holding a child by her neck in the air
From what I've seen of most major US cities, it's just as bad if not worse.
Bro, the bullet was so fast, nobody knew, what the fuck was going on.
I am I the only one who thinks Frost is the most cooliest Marvel villan ever
Certainly the most charming in a malevolent way lol and somehow I don't hate him even though he's a sociopath lol he's interesting and compelling as a villain as Blade is as a anti hero
💯
Zero hesitation when he came out with the mother insult. Loved the fast to slow mo transition. Hard AF💯
The CGI were most done with Newtek's Lightwave 3D software for the dying Vampires. It's still around and has vast improvements in 2018.
Didn't even wait till Frost finished spewing whatever nonsense he was about to say... Just upped the Heat... 💥💥💥🔫
"You're an idiot, you know that?" Lol
That little girl certainly took being thrown into glass pretty well.
That’s Brenda Song (London Tipton from Zack & Cody).
You can tell that Blade feels absolute disdain for Frost because his first word is "Sunblock". He doesn't care about anything he had to say, he just wanted to insult him
“Looks like you mascara’s running” after Frost delivers his whole dialogue 😂
It still boggles my mind that Deacon Frost was essentially Blade's father...
yup
Sired by Devon Frost, damn I'd try to take him out to 😎
Crystal Brown what you talking
about?
No he wasn't his dad, he was his vampiric father.
@@johnnieboy66 🙄, that's why I said "essentially" bro
Blade, ah yes, one of my first Matrix pupils
Blade CANNOT BE NEGOTIATED WITH!♧
Blade is probably one of the most idgaf characters ever. Just shoots people in public and goes on about his business 😂.
Lol
He watched the kid fly by him, too...dude could've stuck out an arm or something. 🤣
2:55 the Asian girl seems pretty calm, being only held up by her neck.
***** Asians love that shit
+Jens Viking lmfao
RIGHT?!?!?!
London from suit life of Zack and Cody lol
And how did she survive. Blade isn't such a good vampire hunter. The girl's body demolished a bus stop and she still survived unscathed. Obviously a vampire
She grew up and got trained by the Winchesters. She'll never get caught by surprise again.
اييي ذكريات كانو عمري4سنوات🥺😍❤
Stephen Dorff love him he's great including Wesley Snipes
Deacon and Blade’s lines were so vicious back and forth and damn he threw tf out of the girl!
The original bullet time. Came out before the matrix did. No doubt they got some ideas from this. Great scene never gets old
"Spare me the Uncle Tom routine"
Fukking BADDASS Blade. One of the all-time greatest Super Heroes.
Period. And Snipes will always be THE Blade.
Blade didn't care who was out there when he made that comment about his mom lol
I really like their chemistry and i like frosts opinion on human kind. Its pretty deep from both their views
This scene reminds me a lot of the first meeting between Logan and Pierce.
I like this dialogue way more than the interrogation scene in The Dark Knight. Hands down
It would be interesting to know why Deacon hates humans so much and how he became a vampire.
+may edwards They are cattle.. Fucking meat
+Jens Viking woah watch out we got a vampire over here.
Because he was an asshole
Frost told Dragonetti that he was an innocent before being turned into a vampire.
TheHonestDutch/Irish/Italian guy wow so even dead vamp blood works? Does that make him any different from being bitten by a normal vamp
Frost looking up at the Sun with no shades on. Plot armour activated! 👍
That was the Rawest gun draw and fire I've ever seen in any movie. Underrated movie this was.
All our strengths none of our weaknesses
Debatable, he had the thirst which was more or less handled by serum, but at one point Whistler mentions he ages like a human. That would be the biggest drawback.
3:08 am I the only one dying of laugher? xD xD xD
No I find it funny for some reason too. XD
No
The most bad ass moment in movie history.
s dorf nailed that role
Blade started this whole marvel shit
blade so much better in all directions
3:11 I love how they actually reused Karen's scream from a earlier scene and had to high pitch it, so it could sound like a little kid's scream.
I never realized that til you pointed it out! 🤣
@@xavierwolfx4938me either
These movies rock!
Frost one of my favorite vampire
1998 what a year
Blade was my Black Panther I hope that Ali does justice to the work Wesley Snipes did.🤞🏾
The opening scene was everything
Blade is my childhood 💙🖤🎥🍿💀
“Frost…you’re nothing to me, but another dead vampire.” you can tell he hurt Frost’s feelings there.
He got butt hurt when Karen told him he's just a virus, a sexual transmitted desease 😁
One of my favourite scenes in this movie
This film made marvel marvel
Dont you ever diss a black mans mama boy!
I don't know if any of you know this but this was actually the very first time that blade and frost had any kind of interaction on set Steven dorff had just met Wesley Snipes that day and Wesley came in in character. they started the scenes in character and if you watch the director's cut the film you will find out that they actually did not get along very well.
Let's take a vote. What's stupider? Vampire sunblock, sparkling vampires, or magic rings that let vampires walk around during the day?
Truce is a bridge of peace and the substance of negotiation.
Two best comic characters 😂😂😂
Like yur STYLE BLADE . "Yur en AnimaL, yur ah Fuken MANIAC"3♤
Looks like your mascaras running.... LOL
I never notice the longer finngernails
That bus driver would have seen a kid flying through a vendor stand and into the road. I mean. Cmon now.
That little girl traumatized for life. Probably wouldn't go outside for life after that experience
3:10 there’s no way that girl would survive that IRL. :D
Kirklan Yoshinaga yeah. Up to that point I was with the movie but that was just too unrealistic ;)
The food stand broke her fall
@@sandile84 No , that was just a clever use of mary sueing.
The best movie they brought out for sure the rest ….
ijayfleming lovethis move
Learned a lot from this - the only difference between a hero and a villain, as I see it, motive.
I feel like blades a bit irrational.
Frost “ I’m offering you a truce, I want you with us.”
Blade: unnecessarily reveals information
Frost (seemingly impressed and clearly open to dialogue:) so you know about the blood God?”
Blade: “Your nothing to me but another dead vampire.”
...Well, sh!t man.
He reveals because he want Frost to know his knowladge about Blood God only awakens if Daywalker's blood joins with Twelve's. He didn't eat the bait.
Black panther and Blade are on different level. I know Stephen Dorf can't be replaced. He absolutely killed that role. The entire cast was phenomenal. I would give Stephen Dorf a million out of 10 stars!
so because Snipes is black and the lead hero, we have to compare it to the completely different and unrelated Black Panther movie? you're a retard.
isnt suffering from the thirsty a "weakness" in every blade movie i watch some vampire always says "sooner or later the thirst always wins"
GrimReaper316. Blade is a half Vampire.
not really, drinking blood makes Blade stronger. He just refuses to give in unless at the brink of death.
your mascara's running.
Awesome movie!!!!
0:53 Frost is talking like Blade is his senpai
The whole movie is subversive godhood. Legendary just, Legendary.
Steven fit into this role
NICE EDITING.
