So if instead of doing ridiculous wishes that did nothing, if he chose to take over the world and abuse his limitless powers, the aliens would have accepted the humans.
Probably, they also probably would have put him as the leader of the humans on the council.
But his selfish ones were deemed useless? It didn’t really make any sense.

@@tonyblake7569, I would wish to have all bad people get "BP" on their forehead, the really bad ones like killers would die in the same way they did to their victims, this includes everyone who did harm to pets/children/elderly/women/men. The victims of all sorts of cruelty would get their wishes granted. In the end, I believe we would have a few people in the world and would be nicer than we have now. Dang! Then the Aliens would have destroyed Earth! Ok Dennis you're the smart one.
@@xkirax2997 totally get your point, and could agree for the most part but like here you'd have to be careful what you wish for, like bringing the dead back to life or all the other wishes where he didn't think about the consequences. In your wish where killers would die the same way would also kill the ones where it would be justified. Someone was trying to kill you and you killed them in self defense? You're still a killer. Someone r**ed your kid, I'd have no problem killing them but that would make me a killer.

If Dennis didn’t have the power no more, he couldn’t restart the whole thing back to when Neil didn’t have the power. The Dog still has the power. Dennis made one wish to destroy the source but how does he make another wish to turn back time? And also the Corgi wanted Dennis to change him back.
But who knows, the writers are the one made it open ended and ambiguous at the end

What’s the fun in erasing a planet when your all about destroying and conquering planets?
This power isn't free, it's using energy from all their civilizations. It's reality bending technology, but it will minimize the cost by making the wish happen as "natural" as possible... like such wish made by them will make the ship to shoot a doom ray anyway (look how his wish used the doom ray, not erased the ship from existence).
And I say energy from civs, not the ship, because MH's wish actually destroyed Galactic Council's civilizations, not just their ship.

Thinking about it now, Dennis must have wished for some amount of knowledge (maybe unlimited knowledge) to be able to understand what to wish for when the aliens tried to destroy the Earth.

Just for a point of reference, I'm not sure if this makes the movie funnier, but Dennis was voiced by Robin Williams. I mean, I don't remember which one was filmed first, between this and the last Night at the Museum. Both were released after his death however, so take that how you will. This was his last movie role.

When I was younger I always wanted to have magical powers to do whatever I want and think would be good without stepping on people's boundaries, but I believe that not everyone, maybe not even me, maybe nobody is worthy to have access to these magical powers. Perhaps if it was a thing, we would be extinct or live happily ever after in harmony on an Utopia like Earth. Who knows? Just think about it. The thing is that with great powers comes great responsibility, because you're not alone.
That's why God makes sense. An intelligent and supreme being, with nothing to be compared with, unseen and beyond our imagination, with an immense greatness that we really aren't able to imagine it. Such entity would definitely create this complex and intricate structure we now call universe
And the attributes are the reason of why such entity would be able to run this structure

MC could have wished for a body and mind which can learn and grasp all knowledge then ask for all knowledge the wish for all purely negative actions to be restricted other then for himself when making wishes and to make it so he can’t make wishes unless his sober - awake and has is sane then wish that instead of a hand movement it automatically activates based on his new acquired fast and ever growing intelligence so he can process and execute his actions sufficiently:P

The plot of this reminds me of the alien episode of South Park where the characters find a bunch of alien money and end up lying to the other aliens multiple times (so the world could keep the money and spend it). It turns out that this was all a test and the planet Earth failed and ends up getting banned from contact from any other world and ends up with like an electric fence around the whole planet. 😂
The episode is called “Pinewood Derby” and it’s from season 13, episode 6.
