Missed the familiar faces but damn you nailed this review dude. Congratulations and welcome to the Bike World family! As for the bike, I'm not surprised. It's a Ducati. What more is there to say? Cracking bike, one I MAY eventually own but not for a few years!
WHAT AN AWESOME JOB YOU HAVE DONE, CHRIS!! CONGRATULATIONS!! VERY PROFESSIONAL REVIEW...THIS CHANNEL HAS GOT EXCELENT PRESENTERS MAKING FANTASTIC REVIEWS NOWADAYS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! FROM VILLA DOLORES - CÓRDOBA - ARGENTINA.
I recently testrode the 2016 multistrada enduro and i gotta hand it to ducati, those multistradas not only look much better than the competition, they also handle like a charm.
Chris you did a very good job and you were fun to listen to and you brought all the facts....looking forward to another review from you....and i was freaking jealous of those roads.. :D
Simply a great review. Looking at a new bike, and being a kawi guy i have always wanted an "exotic" bike. Had my mind set on a bmw f 800 gt, but not anymore. For only a bit more coin the 950 looks like a hell of a ride. If it is comfy 2 up for me and my 15 year old daughter this may be my new ride.
Chris, great review mate. Thorough review with all the info and it didn't just sound as though you were reading the spec sheet. I would have like to have a little more side by side comparison of two different specs maybe a sport and an enduro to show the options available. Best review yet of a bike I am very much considering and looking forward to testing soon next to the 1200. A question, how did you find the 19 inch wheel vs the 1200s 17?
What album is this music BGM from? I quite like it.I appreciate if you let me know the track that you've mixed in the video at the beginning when you have those panning shots.
Nice review, I can't wait until someone does a comparison between this and the Africa Twin. I know I will ride 95% street but trust Honda durability, maintenance and resale. I am downsizing from a 1800 wing. Any thoughts?
good job on your first shoot. If you lose the helmet when addressing the audience and clean up the audio (lots of white noise, very noticeable at the end) I'll be a very happy subscriber :)
Nice review, for a great everymans bike. Bikeworld needs to keep you on. Not sure why anyone would pay more for the white, when Ducati red looks the goods.
Can anyone advise me of where there's a dealer in or near London. I was about to put an order in for a F800GS but now I've seen this, I'd like to see one? Thanks for any help or advise you might be able to offer. Cheers, Mark.
www.metropolismotorcycles.com/ducati/ducati-london/ducati-homepage.htm Or these guys are great if you dont mind heading to Gatwick: www.phmotorcycles.co.uk/new-bikes/ducati/
I don’t think that TFT screen is much more expensive to this one, looks like marketing decision more to keep sales for both models and have some arguments to buy bigger Multistrada.
I recon the 2018 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is the most direct Japanese competition. I've tested the Suzuki and although it's not got all the electronic lunacy of the Ducati, it's got an IMU, bosch cornering ABS, better tire sizes, very closely the same weight as the Duc and the same fuel capacity. Engine service will be much better and it's not clad with plastic like the Duc. Suzuki has more torque and less power, Duc has more power and less torque. Take your pick. Brakes and suspension on the DL1000 is super good. Suzuki costs 1 grand less in the USA.
Why the 19inch wheel for off road but less suspension travel so not recommended for off road. Yet again fashion over function why not stick to 17in if its ont for off road
harryweld777 may be to ride those nice easy gravel roads that connect a set of twisties. I don't get much confidence with the the 17inch front . It won't be as sweet to handle on bitumen as a 17 inches
Yep but as I say fashion over function, 99% of these bikes will not even see easy gravel road's and a 17in would give much better choice of road rubber. I can understand the 19 on the enduro version but not this.
That's why we call them First ride Launch report, there's only so much you can do in one day. That's why we try to ride the bikes when we're back in the UK. Would you sooner not see them at all?
Yeah it’s a video that keeps everyone happy isn’t it. Like I said presented brilliantly and any dealership sales person would be proud to get across what you put together and Ducati isn’t going to get upset and not invite you to the next weekend resort but in my opinion which all it is an opinion it’s not a report.
a Suzuki Bandit 1250 would do the same or better (with a few mods) for half price ... or 2/3rds - comfy yet not too heavy street bike with 140 bullet proof 4 cyl hp, heaven on two wheels. Ducati is for Dentists..
But not everybody wants a supersmooth, but superheavy spaceship from Suzuki, there are people who prefer a twin cylinder engine (for example me), a better suspension and parts that weren't made to be cheap, but to perform great. I don't say that Bandit is a bad motorcycle, but the people are different and that's why there are so many types of motorbikes.
Lubova Videa there is a misconception in many prople about how much better and lighter Ducatis or KTMs Adventure bike are compared to the old fashioned Sportstourer: Eg 250kg with fuel of the Suzuki vs. the 1200 Multistrada's 235kg with fuel is just 15kg difference. Where is the the "superheavy spaceship"? of course some parts on the Suzuki dont look as beautiful as on the Ducati but the Suzuki is the bike that I would buy - with a few modification like mapping/exhaust/rear shock you get a very competative motorcycle for less than 12000 euro... The Ducati costs twice as much. Why? Also I was into buying a Honda Africa Twin for more than a year because of all the Hype around the ADV class bikes but when I ride off road I find my 158kg KTM LC4 Adventure heavy enough..!
But when you compare the Suzuki, where the engine is near to the front wheel and it's wide and the Ducati, where the engine is between the wheel and the seat, you can see the difference, I've ridden a straight 4 cylinder bike, a Honda CBF 600 and my Ducati Multistrada 620 and the Strada's got a better handling...there are many things why people love 2 cylinder bikes and why different people love 4 cylinder bikes and if you prefer 4 cylinders, I guess you wouldn't appreciate the soul of a V-twin
of course your Duc handles better than the CBF 600. Its lighter, has more expensive suspension, more user friendly mid-range power.. And not only twins have soul. I like the soul of my 1 cyl when i rev it up it sounds fantastic, had 4 cyl (1999) CBR 900 before, believe me, that thing had soul too!
so ducati wants to sell a more acessible bike, but they keep the timing belts which require a expensive ducati service, and the desmo valves which is also a nightmare in service costs, so they tell you its a inexpe si e bike but i bet the service is the same as the 1200, which is VERY expensive, what a joke
do not buy it, from misaligned panels, rust in the exhaust, vibrations at all rotations, very noisy engine after 10.000km, stupidly expensive maintenance and poor customer service, I'm seriously sorry I bought this bike,
I love how he gave the review. It had a good flow to it. Great job of going over the specifications as well.
Very good job Chris! I think a lot of us hope to see you again. Good job! Thanks for the video!
I liked the review, Chris is definitly a good host!
Bad Rain and you are my new favourite!! 👍🏼
should start off every review like this! brilliant
Excellent review ,no messing about straight to the point .
Missed the familiar faces but damn you nailed this review dude. Congratulations and welcome to the Bike World family!
As for the bike, I'm not surprised. It's a Ducati. What more is there to say? Cracking bike, one I MAY eventually own but not for a few years!
Matthew Halsey thanks for the warm welcome mate!! 👍🏼 glad you enjoyed it!!

Great job on your first episode of Bike World, really like this presenter.
That’s how review should be! Well done.
Really enjoyed review. keep this presenter, Comes a cross very well. The Bike looks great in Red. Wish I was riding those roads.
I recently testrode the 2016 multistrada enduro and i gotta hand it to ducati, those multistradas not only look much better than the competition, they also handle like a charm.
Good review, I just rode the 950 and totally agree it's an all around amazing bike for the price!

Good review... you must be proud - And you shoud

Very nice review. I'm guessing it doesn't come with heated grips or cruise control but are they available as an option?
Good job Chris!
Looking to potentially pick one of these up! Gotta see how it fits me since I'm on the short side (5'5") but it sounds like I'll be okay!
Good host nice and positive
I think we have our new man. Good job, very clear, easy to watch. Bike World would be stupid not to make you full time
Sam H 👍🏼 cheers Sam!!
What album is this music BGM from? I quite like it.I appreciate if you let me know the track that you've mixed in the video at the beginning when you have those panning shots.
New presenter is great 👍🏻
great review and job Chris! On the bike the only thing that should have been made optional in my opinion was the Cruise control...
Does the 2017have cruise control?
Finally we have a decent new presenter. Luke's boots will be hard to fill but keep up the good work mate 👍🏻
Stephen O'Rourke you're to kind!! Those are huge boots to fill but I'll have a good go!!! 👍🏼
Which song during video intro?
FOR LONGS TRIPS ?
Keep the new guy! Good review 👍👍👍👍👍🏋🏿🏋🏿
D Warraich ye... Keep the new guy!!! ;)
Good one Chris .. thumbs up!!
Nice review, I can't wait until someone does a comparison between this and the Africa Twin. I know I will ride 95% street but trust Honda durability, maintenance and resale. I am downsizing from a 1800 wing. Any thoughts?
song at the beginning??
You should keep this guy, a good host!
Where can I apply for a job like this?
Versys 1000 or this?
good job on your first shoot. If you lose the helmet when addressing the audience and clean up the audio (lots of white noise, very noticeable at the end) I'll be a very happy subscriber :)
Harm Geerts no white noise, it was shot right next to the Atlantic Ocean. Not easy to block out!
Bike World heh, what a terrible problem to have
Harm Geerts
Bike Plain is the solution
Nice review, for a great everymans bike. Bikeworld needs to keep you on. Not sure why anyone would pay more for the white, when Ducati red looks the goods.
Great Review Chris! What kind of gear are you wearing, really like the jacket!
Here's the Jacket Joshua, it's part of the Knox layering system: www.planet-knox.com/product/the-all-sports-mens-waterproof-jacket/
Bike World thank you! Subbed, keep up the great content!
Joshua Woodward cheers!
Was about to tell you but the channel got in there first!!!!😂 first time I've wore knox and it was pretty awesome!!
nice host, keep him. liked the review aside the repetition of some of the things but hey, he didn't write the script.
I give this reviewer 4.8 stars out of 5.
I want one.
Can anyone advise me of where there's a dealer in or near London. I was about to put an order in for a F800GS but now I've seen this, I'd like to see one? Thanks for any help or advise you might be able to offer. Cheers, Mark.
There are a few, where in London?
I live in North London, NW3 but anywhere in London is fine.

Or these guys are great if you dont mind heading to Gatwick:
www.phmotorcycles.co.uk/new-bikes/ducati/
Wow thank you. I'm away until the 14th so I'll pay them a visit and port here how I get on. Thanks again.
If you go the P&H and mention us you might even get a deal...
Was hoping it would have the 848 engine with similar power...
I don’t think that TFT screen is much more expensive to this one, looks like marketing decision more to keep sales for both models and have some arguments to buy bigger Multistrada.
How much???$$$
You are good enough to stay! :-) Yo passed it
I like Ducati because it is from Volkswagen! :-)
More versatile? It's down considerably on power, yet only 10 pounds lighter than the 1200. Down on power isn't more versatile.
George Hill exactly, it comes down to the price really, 1200 is more expensive but better, period.
No cruise control when the bike is ride by wire...
Good job but a little on bike commentary might be good next time.
Say good things about this guy. He likes free travel
Not gonna be your last review! cheers..
This shouldn't be your last review.
Nick Sokolis 😂 I missed the n't on the end of shouldn't then!! Phew!!!! 👍🏼 thank you!!!
Love the bike but....no cruise control? Come on ducati, at least give it to us as an expensive option.
Having lived with a bike with cruise control for a year now, I will never by another bike without it.
That's why you should have kept the older bike. You didn't know you needed it. hahaha
evan002 +1

is he replacing the cute british guy?
Nice background song, take off the helmet or get a modular when talking
New guy Is brilliant although always the same on these launch reviews it’s basically
a Ducati sales pitch...
That's why we call them First ride Launch report, there's only so much you can do in one day. That's why we try to ride the bikes when we're back in the UK. Would you sooner not see them at all?

@@paulwatson5843 Paul, this was the very first launch Chris had been on. He's not a journalist, far from it.

The white bike looks ugly af.
Pig, Only 10lbs less than 1200
Not another bike review with crappy music, please ditch it!

do not buy it, from misaligned panels, rust in the exhaust, vibrations at all rotations, very noisy engine after 10.000km, stupidly expensive maintenance and poor customer service, I'm seriously sorry I bought this bike,
I saw your comment in every multistrada 950 review! Who are you? A troll? A detractor?
Are you on drugs or have you been sacked from ducati in the past?
