Hey @Flite Test have you ever considered doing a sharks and minnows game, but with rc planes and quads? (Big planes attack little planes with their props)
“Ejector seat.” Take a parachute army-man toy and figure out a way to propel him out of an open topped cockpit either spring loaded or bottle rocket. Seems like a fairly easy and cool idea
GOLF + PLANE = GOLF CUB .... he he he ... So again, you guys own a golf course and make RV planes that drop things. Right? Well I say combine your RV talents with you new home and create RV GOLF. I'm thinking you build a piper cub with a golf ball bomb drop and try dropping the ball into the hole on the green. You can call it a Golf Cub. Get it ... golf club .... golf cub. Love what you guys do along with your attitude towards life!!
Man, this takes me back. I dove into foam board RC planes a few years ago and allowed myself to drift away. I haven't visited this channel for a while... back when you guys ended every video by saying, "We don't have any sponsors because you are our sponsor" (not that I can blame you for accepting sponsors). It's good to see that you guys are still doing fun and goofy stuff.
@@Gavin-qh7li - God has blessed me greatly, thank you. I thought there was nothing worse than a Pagan, and a Troll. But you have somehow managed to merge the two. Keep your marries to yourself, you Godless pagan-troll.

I just enjoyed the Darkwing duck episode. It brought back childhood memories of Saturday morning cartoons. I would love to see you make Space Ghost's Phantom Cruiser fly. Also, a great group build for you guys might be Thunderbirds 1-5. As a kid, Thunderbird 2, (the heavy lift vehicle) was always my favorite! But reviewing pictures now, the wings seem awful small for it to fly. All five lined up at the next airshow would grab a lot of attention! Might make a good episode... Thank you for a wonderful program and keep up the GREAT work!
Put a couple layers of foam inside the plunger to pad the impact. (i.e. reduce rebound off the surface). Between that and wetting the plunger I think you guys have a great sport for flite fest
Your problem was Parimetric Decoupling. A little lower speed and the wetting just put you under the threshold. Fun experiment. You guys are great fliers.
Right at the beginning I was thinking, they need to wet the plunger! You guys can literally fly anything cause lets face it, most of this always comes down to some really incredible piloting skills! Following drone guy skill level, Legendary!
This is like the good old videos the REAL FLITE TEST i love how it is just about having a good time and creating memories. I have been here since you where filming is your garage😂 i dont know where i would be without you guys. You should do a 30 minute build from scratch challenge or a boneyard battle that would be epic.
If you ever do this again i think you could leave the plunger unglued, just ziptied with maybe twice the ties you used, this should make the CG adjustable and due to the friction of the ties against the handle of the plunger it will act like a brake so the stop for the plane isnt as sharp as for the plunger itself. You could also make square vertical stabilizer with an [X] shaped reinforcement under the plunger to sorta make a rest for it so when it sticks it doesnt bend all the way down to make sticking easier.
FliteTest makes so much challenges on dropping stuff, hitting things, etc. It would be so much easier with FPV on the craft. I mean, missing the goal by a mile is fun, but I'd like to see the success story on the channel.
Based on your closing standup I'm thinking you've perhaps entered the Witness Protection Program? I'm running over to my closet to see if I have a spare Lume Cube hanging around I can send your way. 🙂 Nothing like shooting in the dark of December. Great fun and I cheered when you "stuck" your landing.
My immediate thoughts for if you ever revisit this would be to have a target with some give and shock absorbing systems for heavy components on the plane and between the plane and the plunger. Which would give not only a better chance of them sticking but a better chance at multiple attempts. I love the ideas you come up with and wait with anticipation to see what you will come up with next.
I love it! Some of the greatest success stories are born after hours of trying something that ends up into the wee hours of the night! Love the way you guys kept at it and still released the video with footage from the dark hours. Just real. Man! Cool
The miss of the trailer reminded me a lot of the crash I just had today. I've got a field next to where I work so I fly there every so often. Was coming into land and cut power to soon, over shot my final and slammed into the window of my office complex... had some really freaked out office workers.
For CHRISTMAS I suggest a gingerbread airplane dropping candy on a gingerbread house. The foam is the gingerbread and then you can decorate it with what ever you want!
When I started flying it was free flight and then it was galloping ghost RC. My first door seals attention with a controlling mother and you just fluid for throttle and kill it but I have a gas water in elevator and every playing with Add who is built either from scratch or from the kit it’s nice to see builders coming back in although you’ve been doing this for years I was afraid it was a lost art love what you guys are done for the hobby
Fly a snow shovel, or maybe an inverted V plow blade to see if you can cut a groove on landing (you need snow). And maybe have a flying plunger chase a flying toilet? And you need a damped spring mount for the plunger so that the air frame doesn't have to stop as quickly as the plunger rod.
This is awesome. I don't imagine that I'm the only person who wants to see an FPV version of this. Get 3-4 people up there playing a game of FPV darts. Make that happen! LOL

Hey @Flite Test have you ever considered doing a sharks and minnows game, but with rc planes and quads? (Big planes attack little planes with their props)
I want a Pac-Man planes to be a thing please make it happen
Make a large scale paper airplane that flies, taking full use of the 7 fold limit. We're looking at possibly several kg's for this build. ;)
Is this some kind of preparation for Peter's flying flushing toilet challenge?
I hope so
I think so :)
Omg it’s Balu.
When they do it I hope they use toilet paper streamers.
MrTmac1986 they might not do it
This needs to be revisited fpv. I can already see people cringing on approach.
FPV Please! Plungervision Must be a thing!
What
Are you kidding me?!?!? “Planeger”. Obviously planeger is the name!!
Well, I see a new event for next year’s Flite Fest.
Yes yes and yes, I will create my storch v2

My granddad died from cancer. But he served in Air Force, and would love this
I love that idea. You could just add a servo that releases a catch on the spring-loaded seat. I might have to try that on my mini mustang.

Bryce H Peter Sripol does some of this stuff
Collin Schofield that is true
Tom Stanton does all kinds off experimental RC aircraft, weapons and vehicles.
Great one guys but I have to say the chase drone pilot is awesome.
Should have had Dent King sponsor this video. 🛩️💥👑
The plunger pulled out it's own dent when it stuck, I don't know Haha.
Maybe the next episode ;)
Love that you have been moving your videos back to your roots, and just having fun making things fly.

The fact that you guys were able to get around the aerodinamics of the plunger and make the planes fly is amazing in it self! Fun video to watch!
You guys need to make an alarmclock fly (so time Will fly) lol!!!!
Flight Test videos bring me more happiness than just about any other channel. I always find myself with a big grin watching your creations fly.

Been watching you guys for the longest. One of the big youtube channels that got me into the remote control hobby. Youguys are awesome. Dont stop.
I think it would have been easier for them to stick if you used flaps so you could fly slower.
So much fun to watch you guys having the best time of your life, literally every episode it seems. So cool!
I'm getting flash backs to the glass breaking vid

I see a whole new contest developing for the annual flight fest! Make this a new kit. You've started something now!
I’ve been watching you guys for years. Seeing your reaction to that first plunger hit is probably the best moment i’ve seen.
You guys are so awesome!! I recently bought 1 of your planes and a umx radian! You guys are the best!

Looks like i need to "Take the plunge" and start flying RC planes :)

Shoulda used FPV and fly slower so it doesn’t bounce! When the plunger finally sticks, you use it to pull out the dent!

You TOTALLY need to re visit this!! What would happen if you added a print to the back of the plunger, to take the shock? Would it stick better?
