wow, it's peter !! no way!! I love ur videos dude!! I've been a subscriber since u were at like 10k subs back then when u used to work in ur parents basement XD
Flying a real airplane over the water, there isnt much depth perception, you are taught to setup a glide slope then watch the shoreline. Having instruments would be huge.
Beautiful looking backwards and seeing all three aircraft strung out in a row over that tranquil lake. This is the kind of thing that makes RC flying so priceless. The gods cannot take away the time one spends RC flying.
I’ve been watching this channel for years, and this may have been the first time my vertigo was triggered. It happened right after Alex asked about getting some altitude. Something about being that high over the water made the butterflies come alive. But it was beautiful up there.
+1 Airsoft Dogfight 11/10 would watch There are so many ways you could do it. So many different styles of planes to choose from. If you wanted to be really extra you could start with bi-planes, then do WW2 planes, then use EDF's to simulate jets. This would be peak FliteTest.
Excellent and so much fun. Flew float planes for a living back in the 70s and 80s (C185f, DHC2 and 3s). Glassy water was the bane. Set up 200fpm down and hope your lake was long enough!
Things I love about this episode: - Anders is back in front of the camera! - The 360 shots just keep getting better and better. Much nicer than using a standard action cam. (I mean, look at the smooth 360 shots in the "you guys want to go high altitude?" section versus the jello in the quad's GoPro while Alex is punching to the moon.) - Great music choices. - Alex with that save after tapping Anders's wing :) - Josh's field test of the water resistance of the FPV pod.
As a possible project you guys can keep in the back of your head, you could look at creating an RC motor warplane, with a larger battery capacity and putting a bit less oomf on the motors so the plane performance becomes smoother with the sluggishness ; climbing time, turning etc. An RC dogfight with planes like these will be absolutely rad! The behavior will be graceful enough to make targeting your guys' planes easy without the frustration of chasing nimble and speedy airplanes with a camera and a condensed screen
I grew up in a hanger in Everett Washington where we were restoring a Grumman Widgeon, along with a handful of other fantastic aircraft. It's really nice to see these models available, as well as the work being put in to make them work well.
Would love to see you guys build an RC boat to rescue the planes with! Also I loved the over-the-water content, I would love to see more of that. Great job!
i have this plane. mine is yellow, but yeah...a thrill to fly, super stable, very forgiving, powerful, and looks amazing in the water and the air! i have a fpv system, I put it on my plane, but chickened out last minute and took it off. im glad to see somone else enjoying it... i get a lot of attention friom onlookers, lots of compliments.. Have fun. this modle is durrable and will last a while. we made. Im not paid to say anything...i truely just love this plane.

Awesome vid guys. So glad to get my Widgeon after the release wait. Set everything up, did Spektrum with Safe during the wait for Aura info. Did intermediate mode and she went straight up from the runway and then straight down. Maiden and cracked the hull and split the foam. Wanted a Goose, waited all of this time for the Widgeon, and can't get parts. Normal laugh when I crash, but not this time. Video came out while I was collecting pieces.

Any float pilot will tell you it is that beautiful glassy water that is the real killer. Ideally land parallel a shore line or approach by an island or buoy or even a floating stick to lend some depth perception to the water. Then trim nose up and milk her in with power! Beauty vid.
Great Job Guy's. Looking forward to mine , due in tomorrow or Wednesday. Spoke with your customer service agent and gave him my RjMorganB2. Since I fly a full size Seaplane , a good suggestion to see the water is to toss a seat cushion in to make waves and shoot for the float and land beyond. Also we call it a Splash and Go. Keep up the Great Work, Capt. Morgan.
Hey guys its great to see all the fun and frolics on your channel but to see footage of this quality only goes to show how far the hobby has come. Thanks for this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video! So cool. Love those 399.9 ft altitude clips 👍 Just got floats for my UMX TimbX and can't wait to go get her moist-maidened. Thanks for all of the great videos!!!
I never flew float planes , but spoke to pilots that have . This business with depth perception on take off and landing, is something they have a problem too. On take off , if the water is very smooth , like a mirror. A trick that they do. Is taxi round, to make a little wave on the water . It helped on take off . to judge distance .
Hey guys I really liked this episode, the shots were amazing. But since you were trying to show off the HD-FPV capabilities I would have liked to see more of the live video feed instead of the 360 cam.
I have over 5k hours in a real Widgen & if your landing on glassy water, Land close to the shore if possible, that's horizontal to the shore. It helps to see how high you are to the water.
What an awesome venue, so jealous. Fun video and love the the plane. Wish Edgewater was in NZ. Been with you from the beginning cheers guys, and say hi to other Josh
That was some of the most amazing camera shots I've seen ever for RC pilot so great please do more tandem flights water Landings fpv it's so gorgeous on the lake

A water displacing silicone free lubricating spray for so many uses including fishing gear, stainless steel cleaning and basically waterproofing electronics that helps in this hobby of ours when water is part of the fun equation.
Just another awesome video. You guys are so amazing with your products and videos. 3:30am and the Old Man watching with my coffee. Great start to my day. ✈😎💗
I recently started FPV. It’s fun, but my gear is just 25mw short range gear. I’d love a review on the features, pricing, and legality of that DJI system! Thanks guys!
watch your replay. always land on water with the sun behind and to the side. then you can watch the SHADOW "converge" . as it approaches convergence you will touch the water.
LOVE the early flite test music! You should use it more often, it’s really nostalgic.
Looks like you guys need a chase boat 😂 I’ll take two 44’s btw!
How has nobody seen this comment yet? :P

You guys hit it out of the park with the Widgeon. That is one beautiful model!
You should do a dogfight with the fpv planes
Wtf
Yeah with the built in airsoft guns they did in an earlier video
