I heard a Doctor say that a healthy relationship will be “boring”. Unhealthy ones are up and down, hot and cold. Approach and avoidance. The cycle repeats itself over and over until you are a shell of a human being. You need to have standards and boundaries. Honestly I consider all these advices only for situations when we have to deal with avoidant people. We have to learn and evolve until we start attracting secure ones so you don’t have to calculate all the time.

If that’s all you want to see, that’s what you’ll get, and maybe that speaks to your own wounding that you should take care of first, BEFORE thinking about relationships. If you don’t, eventually you could become one of those very types Alex is warning others about, those types who pay their trauma forward with manipulation, traps and tricks.
