This is hands down the best--by far--review of the Chrysler Pacifica I have ever seen. This is the most thorough and detailed explanation of this minivan. You should probably start doing reviews of cars in your spare time. Please give us an update on this van in the future. I hope it is reliable. Good luck with your van.
Thanks for the comment. I did one on a spare tire for it. And I’m in the process of doing another one on the different OEM spare tire. I enjoy doing these videos. Glad you liked it and yes, it was rather long 51 minutes.
I have a Chrysler 200S (2012)- and I still wish they made these cars, I’m so sad that they don’t- I want another one- but you explaining the buttons- “ oh that’s what that is” lol- Was an awesome video
Wow! Then you probably have a good idea of the quality of the product. They are relative expensive but It seems to me they are a quality built product with a excellent ride and a quiet cabin. I could be wrong overall and that's where you would have a better insight to quality. I wish I could be a fly on the wall at that plant where you work and check it all out. Thanks for you comment.
@@windsurfed1 Stellantis is pretty strict when it comes to quality. These vehicles are fantastic. Just wish I would afford them! I drive a dodge caravan, which we also built until 2020
I can vouch for the quietness of the Pacifica. I recently sat out a violent hail storm inside my Pacifica, which was parked inside my garage. My garage has a metal roof. Inside my Pacifica, with the windows rolled up, I couldn’t hear the hail hitting the metal roof of the garage!
Great video. I was not expecting this level of details in a car review video. But I can say this is true review with all positives and negatives in practical life. Nobody can explain this clear. Amazing job.
Thanks for the comment. I sometimes go overboard as you noticed. It’s 50 minutes long. There’s a few things I purposely left off because it’s a no-brainer. Anyway, thanks for the comment and watching.
@@tinam6357 you’re welcome. Sometimes I go overboard and explain too much. And there was also a couple things I left out that wish I would’ve put in there!
Thank you for such a thorough walk through. I am getting a Chrysler Limited today and I wanted as much info as I could get on all the buttons and controls.. There are loads of things to learn I see. I had been use to a Nissan so some are similar but some are so different. You did a good job explaining most of everything. Mine will have a few extras you talked about but most everything was covered very well. Your a good man, Charlie Brown. Thanks. :)
@@rogerwilliams4428 thanks for the comment. I have had the car now for over a year and 4 months. It’s been a great car. No issues at this point. I have 23,600 miles on it. Really love the ride so smooth. Everything is quality from my point of view. I just saw a RUclips video. Chrysler Pacifica are not selling right now and are piling up on the dealers lot. So it is a great time to buy in December. The reason they’re not selling is because they are priced high and interest rates are outrageous so they’re having a hard time selling them. December is the best time to buy because dealers want to clear these cars off their lot so you will probably start seeing dealer discount and manufacturers incentives to get them moving. I hope you get the one you really want a very good price. I’m thinking four or $5000 off the MSRP maybe even more.
@windsurfed1 I got a great deal on a 2023 Touring L. Since I'm going to alot of dog shows makes more sense than my Ford Expedition. Mine is called Velvet Red. I would have liked more bells and whistles of the Limited but it has the heated seats and the safety package so tis good. Again, thank you for your great review an I watched a few of your great short reels.
@@Sleddogsrule yes, the limited has a few extra features, but the ride, and the quietness in the cab was what I was after, and it is the same across all models. It will be great for you going to dog shows.
i've watched other reviews, but your reviews are very detailed and informative. I love my 2014 town and country and it has served me well over the years. Maintenance perfectly over the years and never abused driving it. I enjoyed your expertise in explaining every feature of the Pacifica. I am looking to purchase one soon. Thank you again.
Glad you could use the video for information. Stay away from the 2017-2020 Pacifica as as they had electrical issues by 21. They got them ironed out 22 is Great 23 or even better.
Great and detailed video. Been driving a 2021 pacifica and i can say its a great car. It shocked me when a twin mattress fitted in the van effortlessly without obscuring the rear view or squeezing the driver's seat. You forgot to tell us of the manual key inside the remote key just in case it doesn't work for any reason. Great job sir!
Thank you for the comment. I left a few other things out. After I got done with the video and posted it I realize I forgot about three or four other things. And the key was one of them. It’s a great car I just did a 1300 mile touring trip. It was fantastic. I used it for loading buckets of gravel at the local landscaping business. Hauled big cabinets down to the local Union Gospel Mission store. It is a versatile van that rides better than a Cadillac and get pretty darn good fuel economy with the nine speed transmission.
Glad you could use the information in the video. I’ve had the car now about 5 1/2 months and I have over 10,000 miles on it. No problems so far. It’s been a great car hauled bunch of people around in it and hauled a bunch of furniture and even whole buckets of gravel. Probably one of the best investments I ever made. I am currently making a video on what I really like about this vehicle. It should be out in a week or so.
Definitely a lot more features than my 18 but I love my Van. I got it with 69K and it now has 147k with no major issues. Very informative video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment. Glad to hear you got that many miles on your vehicle without any issues. Hopefully I can look forward to that on this vehicle. I thought about buying used but change my mind. And I paid a big price for buying new instead of used. But I love this van also. Just got back from a 1500 mile 1300 mile trip into Montana. Speed limit 80 miles an hour on the freeway clocked in at 25.6 miles per gallon. Very happy that nine speed transmission is what gives it to feel economy.
Oh I wanted a van for a long time and when I still saw used prices I was waiting. I got mine from a guy just wanting to get out of his and only paid what he owed. Isn't fully loaded but it works for me. Your is very nice, Thanks again. @@windsurfed1
What an amazing review. Thank you for the time and the thought and effort/energy you put in. I’m thinking of getting a minivan and wanted electric (since I drive my tesla) and this is the only option (the PHEV hybrid) but even this review probably overlaps with a lot of features on the PHEV so I am very glad! You take your time to explain stuff, and it really feels like I’m right there exploring the features of the car. Hats off! The best review of the Pacifica on RUclips!
Thanks for watching the video. A friend of mine down the street got a Pacifica hybrid plug-in model. It’s only good for 35 miles in town. Then it kicks the gas in but she only drives it about 6 miles to work and back. She said she went a whole month and never used any gas at all.
Thanks for the comment. Hopefully you could glean something from this video. It did take a while to make but I wanted to show everything. It is a great car. Rides on the clouds, drives like a dream and has very good acceleration.
What a great video! I just bought the same car in black, but I did add the theater package because I wanted those video screens in the back, the power folding seats, and that awesome vacuum. I watched the whole video because I’m still trying to figure out all of the buttons! I looked at cars for six months and I was getting extremely frustrated with everything I looked at. I test drove so many and spent hours researching. I was originally looking at three-row SUVs, but not only are they super expensive, but they also don’t offer the features and versatility of the Pacifica. My kids are older - I did not need a minivan. But, it’s so roomy and comfortable for driving them around, their friends, big sport bags, taking the dogs to the vet, road trips, etc. That Stow and Go is a game changer!! The driver’s seat is so comfortable and gives you great visibility of the road. It’s the perfect height. I agree - there is something about the steering wheel that just elevates the car. I know Chrysler spent a ton of money developing and designing this car and it shows. Every single detail is well-thought out. That panoramic roof is awesome too. One of the best parts of buying this car is not only am I thrilled with my purchase, but I also got a great deal on the car. Most car brands like Honda, Toyota, and Kia are adding ridiculous dealer mark-ups to their cars. I was not willing to pay $3,000 - $7,000 in market adjustment fees. When I called the dealership, I asked if they had any incentives going on. They did, so I got the car almost $3,000 off MSRP. They were also extremely pleasant to deal with. Great video - you really went through everything!
You are saying everything I thought about this van myself. I have been looking at them for two years. The steering wheel is something that makes it feel quality. The sto and go seats are totally unique and awesome. We probably chose to buy them at the right time because of the dealer discounts and the selection was getting more picky. I’ll like you spent a lot of time looking within a 500 mile radius of my home for the right vehicle. As you know, the Pacifica has much more comfort than other SUVs. I was getting tired of back doors. I wanted the sliding side doors to easily get in and out. I wanted the vacuum, but it did not come on this vehicle. Glad to hear you’re saying it is great. And you were right. The visibility from the drivers point of view is fantastic. And I totally agree with you. The comfort of sitting in the driver seat is really good. It is roomy, rides super quiet and smooth going over rough roads. I wanted the Tri pane sunroofs, but the 23 models don’t have Tri panes only have dual pane’s now, but am still thrilled. I am super happy and excited to have this vehicle. I believe the newer minivans are way better than any SUV for the comfort, the ride, and the quietness. There was still a few things I left out because the video was getting too long. 50 minutes is a long time for somebody to sit down and watch. But for Pacifica owners, I think they will enjoy it. I’m glad we bought them early in the year so we can enjoy them all summer long.
Outstanding review sir ! I am looking to purchase a minivan in the near future and have been struggling to find a real person's perspective on the Pacifica. Really appreciate you taking the time to give us such a detailed video.
I just recently put out another one after having it for a while. Maybe you saw it here is a link to it. Thanks for the comment. ruclips.net/video/FRCu_Tl9yKI/видео.htmlsi=qgg97wG4EjokoThU
Thanks for the comment. I now have 16,000 miles on the Pacifica and I’ve had it 10 months. So far no issues. It drives like a dream, rides on the clouds, and it’s quiet. And it gets fairly decent fuel economy on the road Around 26-29
@@windsurfed1 Now just wondering what you think about your AWD version Vs the prospects of the Hybrid version that many RUclips videos push on viewers.
@@ZZFilm I live where the snowfalls heavy at times. I got tired of putting on snow tires. We got a Nissan rogue, all-wheel-drive and love it. No more snow tires, it does fantastic in the snow so I bought the Pacifica all-wheel-drive and this winter it got around excellent. I don’t think in my country I would buy another front wheel drive for the area I live in. If you didn’t have to worry about snow, I probably would have went with a front wheel drive. I’m not a real fan of the hybrid. A friend of ours bought one. They only have to drive 8 miles one way to work so they don’t use any gas all month long. So they are saving gas. Don’t know if they’ve had any issues or not. I, personally, am just not a fan of battery operated cars at this point.
Drove this for a week at a time in 3 seperate vacations in the last couple months and rented one of these each time. I'm seriously considering getting one for myself now. Great vehicle!
I agree with you. Great vehicle. So many features that I really really like. I’m putting another video together on it about how it is a workhorse when the seats are folded down. But it won’t be out for a while because I am still gathering content and shooting some videos on it. I have Rite at 10,000 miles on it as we speak and I’ve only had it five months. I do a lot of traveling with it it is so comfortable and quiet
Thanks! After having this car six months and 10,000 miles later, I am thoroughly enjoying this ride. It rides on the clouds, drives like a dream and has lots of power.
Right. I read a lot of reviews on it and there was quite a few that were not too good on the 2021 And older models. So we shall see how this pans out. I’m banking on 2023 models got the bugs worked out. Talked to a few owners that had positive things to say and read plenty of good reviews. But you’re always keeping your eye out for that first glitch in the system. One thing for certain was that it was a very pleasurable experience working with the car dealership salesman. I know what you’re thinking but still it was good. I just bought it for the quietness and super comfortable ride. Don’t know how many years I got left or days or hours, but I’m going to enjoy one day at a time.
I purchased a used 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with 41,000 miles and I now know why there considered a luxury van. It's an amazing vehicle and I couldn't be happier
Glad to hear that. They are a luxury van. I was reluctant to buy one because they were some issues with the earlier models. But only a few people have these issues. So I took a chance. I’m so glad I did. This is a beautiful vehicle.
@@windsurfed1 the later 3.6 engine is bulletproof and is used in most models. I recently changed the spark plugs in mine and that was a bit of a chore but not as hard as putting on those rear shocks on your Tri-Glide,Yikes! I have a 2021 Tri-Glide and I’m still trying to locate that mid-step you showed on one of your videos with no luck : (
I know, I just bought mine two months ago and I am loving it tremendously. I’ve gotten as high as 33 miles per gallon and as low as 27 on the highway. I’m getting around 18 miles per gallon in town. It is a luxury car.
Thanks for the comment. I just did a 1300 mile road trip. A very great quiet cruising comfortable vehicle. I was just traveling on 55 and 60 mile an hour roads and I got as high as 33 miles per gallon in as low as 25 very happy with that aspect. It has a lot of very friendly features.
Yes, they are very quiet. That is the main reason why I bought one but the bonus is a ride better than a Cadillac. And I have old Cadillacs. I also rented one a couple years ago and have been researching them since I know there have been quite a few issues with the 17-20 models. But after that, they seem to have got those issues fixed.
Best review i have ever seen. Thanks ,im having 2018 Pacifica hybrid (176000 mi) and I engaged with this nice car . When i drive pacifica after 21 Escalade very light and easy this drives…
I did a lot of research. From 2017-2020. They had a lot of electrical issues. Then in 2021 the issue started to dissipate. By 2022 they were almost all gone Hopefully by 2023 they’re all gone. The only Conn I found is it does not have an elevation indicator in the navigation. But, oh well!
Glad you could use some of the information in the video to help you make the decision. The only reason I bought it was because I rented one a couple years ago and was totally impressed how quiet it was and the ride quality was fantastic. The kicker was the stow& go seats. Then after having it, I really discovered how much room was really in that thing.
Thank you for the great review! I specifically want this minivan for the family camera. Sounds crazy, but I have 4 kids and one has autism and I need to be able to click the screen to look at them to make sure they are safe and behaving. Which model has the family camera? Is it a package I have to add on?
@@nursedanig2246 usually the package that comes with the family camera is the”Connect® Theater Family Group” It’s usually added to the limited model, but most definitely it’s always included on the “pinnacle” model. If the Pacifica has a sunroof, then there is a great chance it has the “Connect® Theater Family Group”. if it does not have a sunroof, then there’s almost no chance it will have the family camera. Just make sure that when you go to get one that you inquire as to the “family camera“. Just stay away from the 17-20 models as they had much electrical issues. From 21 on the electrical issues almost disappeared.
Thank you for a great detailed video on the Pacifica . I’m in the market looking for a limited. This video helped me a lot to understand what I’m looking at. Thank you again for all your time and for sharing.
Glad you found the video and it helped you out. I just got back from a 1300 mile trip. I rode on 55 mph - 60 mph roads. I averaged 29.9 miles per gallon. I was very happy that is great for all wheel drive. The van is so smooth and quiet and rides like a Cadillac. I am very happy with it thus far.
You will absolutely love the new Pacifica Limited! It's an awesome minivan that doesn't feel like a minivan. I feel like the Pacifica is super underrated because everyone thinks they need to drive a giant SUV!! I looked at cars for MONTHS and I couldn't find anything that matched the versatility and comfort that the Pacifica offers. The infotainment system is awesome -- it's so clear and easy to use. Definitely add the Safety Sphere because it makes backing up /pulling into a garage much easier. The ride is smooth, quiet, and it handles great. The turning radius is better than my BMW was. There are USB ports all over the place which is so useful if you have kids -- no fighting over charging a device. That Stow N Go feature is what really sets the car apart from the other minivans. I just took my kids on a road trip to the beach. I folded the second row captains' chairs down, and they sat in the third row so they could recline and really stretch out. I even had room for our Ragdoll cat to chill in the center section. That trunk is so deep -- there is just tons of room everywhere and all sorts of little details that make it such a great car. I also get great gas mileage -- usually around 22 MPG driving around town, plus it doesn't need premium gas. June / July is a good time to buy it -- there are lots of dealer incentives right now putting it under MSRP.
@@elizabethstewart552 you are totally right. This is the most underrated vehicle in the history of vehicles. If people just knew the quality of the ride and the room it has, and the quietness in the cabin, they would be flying off the shelf, but there is a stigma about owning a Minivan. I agree with you, SUVs don’t even come close to the room, and the comfort and quietness. I think that is going to change because these things ride better than a Cadillac and are so quiet. I just got back from a 1300 mile road trip and I got 33 miles to the gallon high and 27 miles to the gallon low. I am so happy with this vehicle that I want to scream to the world. This is the best vehicle ever made. I have all wheel drive and I’m getting about 18-20 mph in town. I rented one two years ago and that got me on the road to getting this one. They should not be called minivans anymore because they are much more.
@windsurfed1 I’ve watched your videos on the Pacifica a few times now since you originally posted them. Still debating on whether to pull the trigger on one myself. How’s it running after a year and change? Any issues or concerns? Would love to see an update video.
@@aaronkelly4164 at this point, I have a little over 23,000 miles on it. I do not have or have not had any issues whatsoever. Everything is working fine had the oil changed twice and everything was good to go. I just watch a video recently where Chrysler Pacifica are not selling very well because people don’t have the money to buy them. December is the best time of year to buy a vehicle, preferably after Christmas. That’s when dealerships offer huge discounts and the manufacturer offers incentives. They want to get the inventory off their lots. Combine those two together and you will get 4-$5000 off the cost. Possibly even more plus you might even be able to talk him down more. We are waiting for my daughter and we are going to buy a Nissan kicks in a couple weeks. I see some of the dealers in Oregon are already offering huge dealer discounts. I expect the manufacturer to kick in some money to. I could do an update video, but it wouldn’t be much to say because I have not had any problems and I like every item/control in the car. Especially, how smooth of a ride it is and how quiet it is. Now that’s just my opinion.
Most people want big pickup trucks. We have a 21' Kia Sorento but it doesn't compare to this. The stow feature is really handy. No grandkids for us yet but we love this kind of room. Easily fit cooler or even a portable non liquid toilet for tailgating and camping on the beach. Most likely hook a tent to rear of it. Thanks for this video. Appreciate it.
I think mini vans are coming back. There is so much room in these things. and the ride quality I fantastic. I can see camping on the beach with a tent connected to the rear. They are on the $$$ side though. I'm really enjoying it. Going on a 1500 mile trip next week for 4 days.
We’ve had 3 mini vans over the years. The Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Grand Caravan and the Chrysler Town and Country and we have loved all 3. Looking into getting the Pacifica when we do upgrade but have concerns about some of the transmission issues some people have complained about. Have you had any problems with your van at all? Oh, by the way, love your choice of music.
I did extensive research on these Pacifica’s. From 2017 - to 2020. They had a lot of electrical issues. 2021 they had almost all of them cleared up. By 2022 very little issues and 2023 I was hoping that they would have them all cleared up. And so far I have 18,000 miles on mine with absolutely no issues. I owned 2019 Nissan rogue and the cruise control & transmission is smooth as silk. Not so with the Pacifica. It’s always shifting up or down on up and downhill terrain It was annoying at first, but I’ve gotten used to it and I don’t mind it at all now! Compared to other cars, the transmission could be annoying to some people but, like I say, I have gotten used to it and I don’t mind it at all. You just go with the flow. The Pacifica rides on the clouds, drives like a dream and is very quiet. I have the all wheel drive and I have had it in the snow because we need all wheel drive in my part of the country and it beats the heck out of putting snow tires on. In town I’m getting about 18 miles per gallon and on the highway depending on terrain and wind conditions. I have range from 25 to 30 miles per gallon extremely happy with the fuel economy. By the way, you probably already know this, but they are not minivans. They are full-size vehicles with awesome amount of room. Especially storage underneath the stow and go seats.
Also, something to think is that some of the higher and minivans do not come with a spare tire. They have alternative options for you if you get a flat tire. I have had only three flat tires in my entire life. I believe starting in 2022 they did not offer a spare tire on any of the trim levels. However, I did buy a spare tire kit and install it in my 2023 Pacifica. There is a big controversy over running a spare tire on all-wheel-drive vehicles that is not the same size. Anyway, this is all stuff to contemplate.
Great video. I loved how you went through all the details. I bet not even the dealership workers can give such a detailed review of the vehicle. And when you read that gadget about the frequency generator! Phew! You seem to me as a very knowledgeable because you took the time to read in detail the owners manual. Also, I enjoyed the cadence at which you explain. I think you have a talent for reviewing cars. If you ever do that, for sure I would watch each and every car review you posted. Cheers, mate!
Thanks for the reply in the comment. I tend sometimes to go overboard in my reviews. As you can see, it was 51 minutes long which is pretty darn long. Just made the video for people who might be interested in buying one and see what all the accessories are. I bought the middle of the road model. There is an upper model that has a lot more bells and whistles but I’m happy with the one I got.
Good Job - that's a pretty thorough review! 😀 I'm looking to dig into getting either a Pacifica, or maybe a Traverse in late 2024. They're different vehicle types, but should serve my purpose well I think. But this review helped a lot. 🙂 Not sure if you have a driving review or not... Maybe you should do a "one year later" review!
@@fortworthron I can tell you now the ride is like “riding on the clouds“ drives like a dream. And super quiet. Tons of room in the back when the seats are stored. I did another video on it entitled “20 things I like about the Chrysler Pacifica“
Glad you could use some of the information in this video. It’s a great car I have already 13,500 miles on it and I only bought it in June rides on the clouds, drives like a dream and is sleepy quiet, and it has some power.
@@xity93 those are the drivers memory seat adjustments. For instance, I have my own fob. When I walk up to the car and open, the door and seat automatically moves to my fixed position that I like for the driver seat. I said it previously by adjusting the seat to my comfortable position and pushing the S1 button. That links it to my fob and my wife can do the same thing with her and setting her drivers seat position by pressing S2. So anytime we approach the vehicle and open the door with our fob it recognizes which driver it is.
Thank you for watching. I hope you could use the information. The car is still a great car. I love it. So quiet so much room. Drives on the clouds and drives like a dream
Great review. How's the car doing now, any issues? I'm thinking of getting the same but with the S package. Has anyone driven both the 18" and the 20" wheels on the S package? I'm wondering if it makes much difference in the ride quality and cabin sound? Also, there is an optional compact spare tire that goes in that shelf area where the vacuum also goes with the UConnect package. I'm thinking of getting that spare.
The second row seat do not slide. They are permanently in that position. However, you can release them to tilt forward for people to get in the third row seat if you’d like. Also, when you do tilt them forward, you can have a Car seat in them if you like and they will still will tilt forward to the same position. Very convenient feature. Most second row van car seats. Do not allow you to tilt them forward with the car seat in them. What I mean by a car seat is a child seat in the regular seat.
Any chance you can offer a suggestion!? I lost a credit card behind the push door that covers the wireless charging pad. It was on top of the slide door and disappeared back behind. Thanks! I loved your Pacifica video. I learned alot.
No, I don’t have any suggestions for that. I probably would just take it down to shop and have them do it. Probably cost an arm and a leg though. You would think there would be a simple way to release that sliding lid. Let me know if you ever get it out so I can know if it ever happens to me.
Thanks for the comment. I made a couple road trips with it so far and it is everything it stacks up to be. Very comfortable quiet cabin. And rides better than a Cadillac.

I negotiated down to 6.8%. Below MSRP. But 10% would be fantastic but not likely. Two years ago you would be paying 5-10% above the MSRP. Now is a good time to buy a new vehicle because they can’t get rid of them because of the high interest rates Also the amount of time over 30 days the car has been on the lot is very powerful negotiation tool for the buyer. The funny thing is that I am a single guy and own a RAV4 but still going to buy Pacifica 😂. Because I am converting it into a camper van with some basic wood work like building a cabinet, bed and some decorations. I drive the van across North America and living in it which could give me so much flexibility and save tons of money on accommodation. The black pacific looks so sharp and beautiful I don’t feel I am driving a minivan
I agree with you. The Minivan Pacifica would be a great band to travel across the country. Also, like you said, you could converted into a living quarters. I hope you purchased one, soon. you will be extremely happy. And, like you said, you will be saving tendon money on accommodations.
@@windsurfed1 thanks for reply. I just talked to a local salesman at Chrysler recently. And he suggested that the plug in hybrid version might be a good choice for me since I primarily use Pacifica for long distance road trip. The hybrid model gets around 8 L/100km ( I am in Canada). And can run on electric power for 32 miles. What is your combined fuel consumption so far? I am not sure it is worth to buy hybrid one that is almost $8000 more than gasoline version. I drive 90% on highway for cross country road trip. Wondering What is your suggestion
@@samyin1674 The hybrid Pacifca is great for in town driviing 32 miles on the battery is great for in town. You can almost drive anywhere in town and come home and plug it in an recharge overnight. And never use any gasoline for a month. On the long road trips I personally don't think it is anywhere near worth the extra $$$ paid for the hybrid over the gas engines. My window sticker say I am suppose to get 17 mpg in town and 25 mpg on the highway. I am currently getting 18 mpg in town. and at 55-65 mph I am getting 27+ mpg. One time It hit 33 mpg. At 75 mph, I went 150 miles (with the Air conditioner on) and got 27 mpg. Hope this helps. Very happy with the fuel economy. Leaving soon on another road trip for 1500 miles and am looking forward to check fuel economy again. I betting I will be getting close to 30 mpg average. The Hybrid models do not allow the second row seats to sto and go in the floor. That's where the batteries are stored.
Hello. What are your thoughts on reliability?. I like the Pacifica, but every time I look into it, long term reliability seems to be the biggest problem.
Right. I read all those bad reviews and I was very concerned. Those reviews held me back at arms length. Financially , I also wasn’t ready. Then I started reading the good reviews and felt much better. It took me 2 years to make the decision to buy a new one. Was counting on the 2023 models having all the bugs worked out. I know now that the engines go forever. Almost all the headaches were coming from the electrical side of the vehicle. But overall, most people were enjoying the vehicle with minor issues or no issues at all. We always tend to hear the most extreme case that discourage us. Any way, I pulled the trigger and bought one. At this point (3500 miles) [and 2 extended road trips] I love this Pacifica. As for long term reliability, I have read where some folks were getting 2-3 hundred thousand miles on them. But I don’t believe the majority will get that. I’m shooting for 100,000 miles then we shall see where it goes from there.
@@pretor706 the hybrid version was never on my list because I wanted the full value of the stow and go seats. I was concerned about my fuel economy in this gas version. But after this long road trip, I averaged 29.2 miles to the gallon. I got as high as 33 at one point and 27.2 at a low point. Right now in town I’m running at 20.2 miles per gallon. Those figures are well above the window sticker estimates. Those mpg l got we’re at 55 and 65 miles an hour when I went up to 75 miles an hour it dropped down to 27.2.
An older person would appreciate the ease to get in and out of it. It's not too low like a sedan and not too high like some bigger SUVs plus this van has more cargo space behind the third row.
Thanks for your comment. It’s a very nice van with quick breakdown of the seats into the floorboards to turn it into a Hauling/cargo van. In about a week I’m going to put out a video on all the stuff I have hauled with this versatile vehicle. This is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I just hope it holds up. Because these vans earlier on didn’t have too good of a reputation. Hoping that the 2023 model has it all worked out.
The rear seats cannot be removed. They only can be stored in the floorboards. When the 2nd row seats are up you can use the area where they would be stored for storage. It’s great for that.
wonderful video. The 2010 Chrysler Town and Country Walter P. Series had many of the same features as this 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited model on the interior. Of course, this 2023 model has a 9-speed transmission and is AWD whereas the 2010 model is only front wheel drive. This 2023 Pacifica Limited 'Noise Cancelling' feature sounds like technology from 'Noise Cancelling' headphones commonly worn when riding in airplane. Definitely a good choice for travelling around the US. Looking forward to the release of the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Limited model (still nervous about supply chain issues possibly affecting the 2023 model year). Most of the time, leaving the seats in the 'Stow and Go' mode is the way to travel if only two people travelling. Can keep all the luggage in the back easily or even a twin bed back there for a little nap after driving many miles and then get back to driving again
Thanks for the reply. The 9 speed transmission is great. On a recent road trip I got as high as 33 mpg and a low of 27 mpg. Those were speeds of 55-65. At a steady speed of 75 mph for 150 miles, with air conditioning on I got 26 mpg. Extremely happy with those numbers. It is super quiet and I do plan on Moore Road trips. I have looked at the possibility of sleeping in the back. That is that option. And the storage is unbelievably large.
@@windsurfed1 nice to hear. In the 2010 Chrysler Town and Country, can only get up to 22 mph on the highway. Usually just 16 mph around town. (the 2010 has a lot of newer spark plugs, spark plug wires. Did no have spark plug coil packs yet like the newer cars have) Nice gas mph improvement for the 2023 model
Yes. The hybrid model is excellent for around town. It has a distance of 35 miles before you have to charge it. You could probably go all month without getting any gas if you’re a commuter. The hybrid model does not have a second row stow and go seats because the batteries are underneath them. I definitely wanted Second and third row seats to stow and go seats.
I do believe that the best color for the Pacifica is Fathom Blue. It has the metallic effect of looking "different" depending on the hour of the day. It is a shame that dealerships only stock the fleet colors.
I have seen a few of those blue metallic colors on the Pacifica. They are exquisite, and beautiful. I agree with you. And they aren’t very many out there as compared to the fleet vehicles. They are few inbetween.
Depending upon the year. They are always changing up packages. For the 23 some of the packages you get don’t have all the ingredients that they offered on the 22 package so it gets confusing at times.
I think the second row stow n go system is a double edged sword. If a customer uses Pacifica as a cargo van, it does provide the convenience. But the regular families like mine, would just appreciate the 2nd row can be moved forward and backward to have more seating flexibility
Yes, I agree with you. I’ve heard of families doing that Sto and going the second row seat and having their kids in the very back for much more room. It is a very versatile vehicle. I folded all the seats down just a few days ago and loaded the back end up with large furniture. And I also used it to haul bucket of gravel. I sold my truck this is 80% substitute.
@@windsurfed1 I will never put a child, and other passengers if possible, in the 3rd row because they are very dangerous if the vehicle gets a rear end crash. that's why I want the second row to be more versatile.
Yes, you are correct there is no drivers side grab pillar bar. I have a hard time getting out of the driver seat as it is quite a drop to the ground. The biggest complaint I hear is getting in the second row seat. There is a grab pillar bar there, but it is totally in the wrong spot. People don’t have any issues getting out from the second and third row seats but it’s getting in is the issue. Then again, after they first get in, I never hear that complaint again. I really don’t know of any vehicle that has a grab pillar bar on the driver side, to get in the vehicle other than pick up trucks. Anyway, thanks for commenting.
How does everyone like the reliable on the Chrysler Pacifica limited compared to the Honda Odyssey i think the Chrysler Pacifica limited looks way nicer n especially interior im just wondering anyone have any complaints on them i got a Honda Odyssey EXL with 300 + mileage with nothing major to fix outta pocket hope to hear the same about Chrysler
I think the Honda Odyssey’s are much more reliable. The Chrysler Pacifica have a history of issues up to 2021 after that they started being way more reliable. I just wanted the Pacifica because of the sto&go seats which are really easy to store in the floors instantly. Honda has the second row seats that You have to physically take them out of the vehicle. I probably would’ve chosen Honda if had they had sto&go seats
I’m not quite sure what you mean. I don’t see in the video where I said anything about the tires. Probably should’ve. Or maybe you know exactly in the video where I said something. Let me know.
I’m not sure exactly what you mean. Although I did show how I put the seats (2nd &3rd row) in the stow and go position in the very beginning (time mark around 4:00)of the video and also mentioned how Chrysler is the only one that has that feature.
@@windsurfed1 Ok, I went back and looked again and I see you did touch on it. . I was anticipating more detail, (my issue not yours) and kept watching for it to come. From what I have seen on other videos the front seats need to be moved forward first. Some kind of button you can push to make that happen. A piece needs to come off the floor. before they drop down. I guess at the end of the day I need to go to a dealer and see them in operation for myself.
@@bob_atwestmi_fl_us7812 you are correct there is an electric button on the wall between the first and second row seats, one on the passenger side and one on the driver side. Just push them in the buttons make my electric seats go forward then you just lift the floorboard up and push the seats down. .
I have heard that some people have had massive amount of trouble and are very unhappy with the Chrysler Pacifica. I have around 14,000 miles on mine and I just bought it eight months ago and I have not had any issues at all. So I can see why some people are reluctant to buy this model.
This review was super helpful, I think I’ll switch from traditional SUV to minivan with this model for my next purchase. So versatile especially for car camping. 🏕️
I have had this vehicle for six months now and I just really love it. You might enjoy looking at this video. Also I made about it. ruclips.net/video/CF81HSUlR8I/видео.htmlsi=QDt0uUhUXpwPzIgX
What model is it. I bought a new 2016 Toyota Camry, and the first day that GPS system went out. They replaced it and never had trouble again. Things go wrong sometimes with new cars but hopefully you won’t see any more issues. I know the earlier Pacifica, 2017-2020 had electrical problems. Starting in 2021 they started working on them to the point where they don’t usually have any more issues. Sorry you’re having this issue.
I get it. I did not want the 20 inch rims. I believe the S models also come with the family theater package which I really didn't want. Normally the S model in the year 23 is Around $4 Grand more than the limited. Also the S models in 23, from what I understand, only have the black interior, of which I wanted the white panels. I suppose a person could have ordered it from the factory to meet his/her specifications.
@@windsurfed1 The S is an option package that you can get with the limited. I think it is a $1,700 option. I'm not sure what he's talking about saving $5,000. Perhaps he's talking about the touring model which is not nearly as nice as the limited.
I have a Chrysler 200S (2012)- and I still wish they made these cars, I’m so sad that they don’t- I want another one- but you explaining the buttons- “ oh that’s what that is” lol-

I was going to say something very similar.
I work at the plant that builds these, glad you like it :)

@@windsurfed1 Yup that's why I got one for my family :)
Keep building these great cars! Can't wait to get mine to haul our mountain bikes in.
I know what you’re saying it is extremely quiet. That is incredible story you told. Good witness to the quiet of the van.
Great video. I was not expecting this level of details in a car review video. But I can say this is true review with all positives and negatives in practical life. Nobody can explain this clear. Amazing job.
Glad you could use some of the information in the video. I’m really enjoying it. It’s so smooth.
Amazing job, extremely detailed VOD, honestly should be your side hustle reviewing cars!
Thanks for the comment. I sometimes go overboard as you noticed. It’s 50 minutes long. There’s a few things I purposely left off because it’s a no-brainer. Anyway, thanks for the comment and watching.
Thank you for explaining everything
Great video, I pick up my new Pacifica on Tuesday and am so glad I watched this beforehand.
You will love it. What color/model did you get? They ride so nice. Congratulations!!!
Thanks for this amazing and thorough review. I’m currently shopping for a limited model, and this was a big help.

Phenomenal video. Really appreciate the effort and work you put into making this. Super informative!

Thank you for the great review! I specifically want this minivan for the family camera. Sounds crazy, but I have 4 kids and one has autism and I need to be able to click the screen to look at them to make sure they are safe and behaving. Which model has the family camera? Is it a package I have to add on?
@@nursedanig2246 usually the package that comes with the family camera is the”Connect® Theater Family Group”
It’s usually added to the limited model, but most definitely it’s always included on the “pinnacle” model. From 21 on the electrical issues almost disappeared.

thus far.
Have you seen this one I made?

@ yes gave it a couple views. Thanks for going in depth.
Very good video
@@dennisodson4572 Thanks, I tried to cover everything. But there was still a few things I left out.
There is so much room in these things. and the ride quality
I fantastic.
@@windsurfed1 you minivan it's awesome. Enjoy it!!
@@windsurfed1 I just wonder what are the 1 S 2 buttons that are from the inside of the drivers door next the the handle? Do you know ?
@@xity93 those are the drivers memory seat adjustments. For instance, I have my own fob. When I walk up to the car and open, the door and seat automatically moves to my fixed position that I like for the driver seat. I said it previously by adjusting the seat to my comfortable position and pushing the S1 button. That links it to my fob and my wife can do the same thing with her and setting her drivers seat position by pressing S2. So anytime we approach the vehicle and open the door with our fob it recognizes which driver it is.
Great video, Thank You.

Thank you great video!
Rather long, but informative. I left out a couple things, but oh well! Thanks for the comment.
Thankyou for this video. Looking to get one very soon!
One question…..can you slide the 2nd row seats forward or backwards?
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Glad you liked the video. Hope you got some good information from it. Thanks for watching.
Perfect review!! Interesting
Thanks for the comment. I made a couple road trips with it so far and it is everything it stacks up to be. Very comfortable quiet cabin. And rides better than a Cadillac.

What would be the percentage off of the list price one could be expected to receive off of this model of a Pacifica?
I negotiated down to 6.8%. Below MSRP. But 10% would be fantastic but not likely.
Two years ago you would be paying 5-10% above the MSRP.
Now is a good time to buy a new vehicle because they can’t get rid of them because of the high interest rates Also the amount of time over 30 days the car has been on the lot is very powerful negotiation tool for the buyer. I kicked myself because I wish I would’ve negotiated even lower. They took the first bite which means I could’ve went lower
@@windsurfed1 I really appreciate this information, I’m a HUGE fan of you channel. I’ve learned so much about working on my 2021 Tri-Glide from you. Thanks again!
@@windsurfed1 was the hybrid version on your short list? I do know about the second round seats with the hybrid version.
Thanks for taking the time to reply in detail.
Can the seats in back be removed, and when the second row seats are up, can you use the space below for storage?
Hi Chuck, did you choose not to get the hybrid model?
Yes. The hybrid model is excellent for around town. It has a distance of 35 miles before you have to charge it. You could probably go all month without getting any gas if you’re a commuter. The hybrid model does not have a second row stow and go seats because the batteries are underneath them. I definitely wanted
Second and third row seats to stow and go seats.
Differences between Limited w/ theater vs without and regular w/ theater and without?
Depending upon the year. They are always changing up packages. For the 23 some of the packages you get don’t have all the ingredients that they offered on the 22 package so it gets confusing at times.
@@windsurfed1 thanks

No drivers pillar grab bar is a deal breaker for me
Yes, you are correct there is no drivers side grab pillar bar.

Other than the ventilated seats. The Pacifica S model AWD would have save you 5 grand.
I get it. I did not want the 20 inch rims. I believe the S models also come with the family theater package which I really didn't want. Normally the S model in the year 23 is Around $4 Grand more than the limited. Also the S models in 23, from what I understand, only have the black interior, of which I wanted the white panels.
