6.7 Britain is the perfect example of an average situational lineup; the Tortoise, FV4005, Ratel 20 all amazing in very specific situations but mostly bad
People always sleep on the Tortoise’s traverse range. The mount the gun is in allows it to aim really far to the side, making the Tortoise one of very few (of not the only) casemated that can angle (which definitely increases your survivability. (It also has 10 degrees of gun-depression). It’s incredibly useful around corners, and together with the good reload and reverse gear makes the Tortoise an effective urban brawler, and a very fun vehicle to troll people with. 99% if the time when you reverse they think you have a long reload after you’ve fired, so they drive out blindly and get a 94mm APCBC round right through the side or front.
I love this tank and it's very fun to play at least in AB when you don't get bombed. To me it was one the fastest vehicles I spaded which was quite surprising to me

There's something oddly calming about Tortoise gameplay. I'm probably just too used to the casemate life to really be bothered by the slowness, but I can understand why you two struggled to have fun!

Point 1) Its funny that off all the not tanks Warthunder calls tanks, this is a tank and they decide its not. Point 2) I like using this as a shield for my buddies. They slowly follow me and pop up and blast the enemy.
Man, the fact that full uptiers can completely ruin the viability of a vehicle shows there's a problem with that system. It seems like people just accept full uptiers as a fact of life that will never change.
As an avid Tutel player, Tutel is great especially for farming in AB. Killing everything is great as long as it's not IS-6, Jagdpanther (facing you), Somua SM. VIDAR is also a scary beast that can one shot tutel.

Yeah i found out this week that you can shoot an enemies "smoke canister" things on the side of their turret and cause their smoke to go off. It's funny as hell and great for trolling enemies that you can't handle. Just make them blind themselves and run away laughing.

Not a lot of people know this but they didn't name it the Tortoise because it was slow and well armored. They called it that because during testing they found that if you flip the tank onto its back it becomes completely helpless and unable to right itself, just like tortoises in nature.
The Tortoise is a specific type of fun that manifests rarely, but when it does, it is quite hilarious. If you enjoy the challenge of a not really good tank that can excel in specific situations, or if you just like the sound of shells ricocheting off your hull, the Tortoise is a machine to try. If you just want the meta tank however, stay away.
The Skink can be a ton of fun, when you trick an enemy fighter into thinking you're a regular Sherman. I've had a ton of success and survivability with it. I didn't even realize it was that bad. It might actually be my favorite Bri'ish AA, eh.

The Ystervark has a better gun for both AA and AT but the fact that it looks like a construction vehicle with a gun strapped to it holds it back.
