I own a HONDA SS 50 ZE 1st hand from my father.... Fully restored... Love it!
Nice little bike, cool color.
Beauty! Have the same year and model in Red and love it!! super fun and nimble little bike to ride. And can do highway speeds as well for short trips.
Love these bikes
I love that color. Cool bike.
First bike was SS50 5 speed 1970 when I was 16. I progressed to Suzuki T200 invader. Then to cars but got a CB125S as well. Now at 68 I have SS50 5 speed and 4 speed, CB175SS, bike I always wanted at 16
Remember some years you could get a CB in 125, 175, 200, 350, 360, 400, 450, 500, 550, and 750. Well maybe one or two sizes not a certain year. You could get a 350 twin or four. Good old days and great metal flakes.
Don't forget the 50. First "bike" i've ever owned
Now its all big cc bikes ☹
I bought one of those bikes new, in 1971 for $684 at the HONDA Dealer. Thats a 1971 model, the 1972 was gold and black .
never see these beauties any more Woooow
I can see how Honda was giving triumph a run for it's money. It's got the look of a triumph Bonneville but with and awesome paint job and badging.
I used to have a 1974 Honda cb200. I've always wondered how these 175s compared to the slightly larger 200
I've not ridden a CB200 but now own a 1972 CB175k6. Very different to my two Goldwings (a 2018 and a 1976) but brilliant fun to hack around on. I bought it from my local bike shop but it was actually a private sale from one of the mechanics there. He knows both the CB200 and CB175 very well and says that the 175 is the better of the two in his opinion. On paper the 175 actually has slightly more HP but I think probably a bit less torque. The CB200 had a cable operated front disc brake whereas the 175 had a drum. I'm told the the disc on the CB200 wasn't great. I'm in the UK so talking about UK spec bikes. Anyway the answer to "which bike is best?" is always subjective and a matter of opinion. All I know is that I love my little 175. It puts a huge grin on my face every time I go out to play on it.
@@iannicholson9875 The disc is exactly the reason why I sold it. it really was a pain to adjust and it never braked properly
You need to try the Honda CB125 T 1978-81, 180 degree firing interval, 12,000 rpm redline
Never saw. 2 cylinder 175. Wow. Thought it was a 350 ! Like that but how do ride such a rare pristine bike , cause I’d have to. Lol
😍
Btw Honda 175 engines have 150 psi compression not 135 psi. At 135 psi the engine is tired needs top end work
