This game has always piqued my interest but I can never just pull the trigger. I should grab it on the summer sale. Awesome coverage sir, excellent work.

I think it still needs a little work, but it is impressive how smoothly some of the system is and I won't stop talking about how diverse these characters look and feel so that is always a plus.

I don't know if this game is for me, but glad you liked it overall! Seems like you had some decent suggestions for what could be improved upon too

I've since discovered a few more games that have done something similar. It may be a little niche and I honestly didn't think I would like it this much when I first played the demo. I just hope the devs will listen to some of the feedback because it does have some surprising depth to it.

I tried this one and I got frustrated with the onboarding process since I either missed the tutorial or there actually is none. Watching the video though suggests there is quite a lot of enjoyment in it, so maybe I´ll pick it up at some point.

There is no tutorial. A few messages pop up here and there during your first match but the learning curve is pretty steep. I think the initial matches are set to very easy to give you some quick wins and for you to sorta get your feet beneath you, but an actual tutorial match would be extremely helpful for this game. I will say it does get exciting waiting for new heroes to unlock and there's still a lot of untapped potential like potentially playing former team members, the mood meter suggestion I had in this video, and the devs could always add more heroes into the game if they wanted. Honestly though 53 heroes to choose from is pretty great so even just finding new team setups is pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

@@Prozeon I think no tutorial is hurting new players. You do quite a few things before actually getting to the first match where it changes into an autochess card game with very little info.

@@Bluechief6 oh I definitely agree that there needs to be some sort of tutorial to the game to help. I only knew how to play because I played the prologue and demo but the first 2 or 3 games was just me randomly playing cards until I finally understood what I'm actually doing. I will say that luckily the first matches are more on the easier side, but a game like this really could benefit from some sort of tutorial.

Individual concepts in this game are nothing really new but as a whole the game is very very innovative.
I hope they update regularly and improve it well. And hope it's not another do this do that click fest but have real strats and gimmicky

I definitely started to wrap my head around what characters synergize well and what counter matchups to use. I did customize my player's cards a bit too much where I can run through half my deck in one turn, but even still there's a lot of interesting decisions to have to make and with the slow introduction of new heroes, there is some good pacing instead of having them all available from day one.
I definitely agree that there's nothing ground breaking here, but it does mesh well together where I have really enjoyed my time with it so far.

@@Prozeon I don't know if you played DotA Chess,It became a global sensation like a year after they first released on DotA2 f2p, which use the concept of Frozen Throne fan made map called Pokemon Defense but with some new mechanic.
I think this game looks rly interesting just like the start of DotA Chess. Hope this goes viral on twitch, atleast like last Esport team manager sim game.
What I want to say is that I hope you start streaming the game 😁 so I can watch it and learn. Card mechanic always hurt my brain.
Anyway, this game felt like what could Artifact could have been .

@@PiscestheDirty I have not heard of DotA chess before but it is sounds very interesting. I have actually been toying with the idea of streaming again, and I definitely think this would be a fun game to stream. I just dipped my toes into the "Hell" difficulty and it seems smooth so far, but I think it would be fun to have some viewers influence some of the decisions.
