It's weird because Puyo Puyo has spawned a whole subgenre of battle-oriented tile-matching games. It seems like a really better match to a puzzle-RPG's combat system than just playing solo tetris.
I think it was done well enough, I just personally didn't feel super connected to it. I definitely appreciated the attempt to make something new happen in a genre that is a little stagnant and I do hope this finds its audience.
This feels like the kind of game I'd be obsessed with for a week or full weekend, but then never really pick back up. Seems like a super cool idea, especially with being able to customize the pool of tikes available. May hold my attention for a bit more than the annual "Oh yeah, Tetris is a really fun game, actually."
Honestly, that's how I felt after an hour. Like I can't really say that it was technically bad, I just found myself wanting the demo to be over rather than being disappointed when the ending came.
Very interesting concept. I like the idea, but Tetris is a whole game in itself. Perhaps if they just took some elements from it, the game wouldn't feel so separated. Cool art style though and great video!
I think it was the most fun to do the Tetris aspect during the puzzles and the resource gathering, so maybe if it had a more traditional combat style then it wouldn't have become so lackluster after an hour of playing.
Man, this looks like it could be amazing with one huge exception. I am...butt-arse terrible at Tetris. I sure hope this finds an audience, something this unique deserves a huge audience.
I love the art style and the idea of changing the typical combat system but I never really enjoyed Tetris, so this one will be a hard pass for me. Great showcase as always.

I do appreciate the attempt at doing something new and engaging, so I do hope it finds its home, it just won't be on my shelf unfortunately.

Yeah there's no doubt that if you aren't a fan of Tetris then you will not enjoy this game lol
