Hi, thanks for your feedback. I have to say that for the money, it’s a well-built little receiver that performs well, especially considering the challenges of selectivity given the one sweep of the relatively short tuning dial for all three bands.
@@TheWobblyCameraGuy Form watching your tuning the dial, it looked firm but smooth. Some times the analog dials are easy then turn hard through the tuning of the frequencies. I like the curve rounded body of the Radio and how long the tuning knob is. You always give us a good view of what you are reviewing. Very nice. Thanks.
@@ominkan3129 Hi, your absolutely correct. I have reviewed some of these budget priced receivers and they have really stiff tuning thumbwheels. I did a review of the 4 band T-6609A, (the gold-coloured set) and that had a thumbwheel that was real bugger LOL. I agree with your observations, this V117 has had a lot of through put into its aesthetics, the curves flow nicely - not a corner on it! And thank you for your kind feedback, much appreciated.
Quiet sw tuning is only because of soft muting that will make you miss a lot of stations. I wonder why they left out the 49m band wich is the most used band in Europe (6 to 8MHz). I like the tuning knop to. It seems to be a radio wich will make most people happy though. Thanks for the review.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to get in touch and for your observations. Noted about the soft muting - thanks for highlighting. I have reviewed many of these budget style radios and there doesn’t seem to be any set pattern to the SW frequencies that they cover, they do seem to vary quite a bit. One possibility may be that they are aimed at different markets, i.e. some may be more aligned with the far east where the majority of the transmissions are at different frequency ranges to those found elsewhere? Glad you liked the review - thank you.
Nice designed radio. Quiet SW reception and easy to tune. Thanks for the review.

Yes it's nice and clear when tuning into stations on the FM band 👍

Is tgis radio an analog tuner or not ?
Hi, thanks for your question. Although it has an analogue style tuning dial, it employs a Digital Signal Processor, (DSP) for tuning.
