Plastic is high on my list. No prepackaged food or wrapped in plastic. Keeping my food subscription @ucooksa (mom needs 2 days off)(they recycle and do feed SA community work). No process foods or take away (support local small restaurants). And the rest of your list regarding sented and skin care things I'm so with you. Also no more chemical cleaning products (bicarbonate/baking soda vinegar hacks is my go to). No on the go coffee (we got a great machine). No online shopping unless it's locally made, good quality, something that will last and sustainable. All round be more suitable and eco conscious.

I also think you are right. I buy whole items that are multi use . Pancake mix you don’t need .
Organic cold pressed Coconut oil is great for cooking , using as a make up remover , hair mask, to smooth out frizzy hair, lotion , shaving gel , face mask.
I too stopped getting my nails done, eyebrow threading .
Living simple makes your house feel so much lighter.your wallet thicker
Toys - we recently put the kids toys into 4 bins and hid 3. They did not even ask about their toys .they play better with the current batch. They put them away properly . I even noticed they started to take only a few at a time .
Thanks for calling out all those make up collections. You have one face and there is no way you can use all that.I fell into that trap that I needed so much .5 years ago I decluttered, trashed and donated most of it . I get ready so fast and feel better
Please share your current make up collection

Yesss coffee tables and kids do not go well together 🙅🏼‍♀️ we got rid of ours too. I hardly miss it and use our daughters chair from her kids table as a drink stand when I’m hanging on the couch at night 😂

I "fasted" fast fashion in January as an experiment. in the beginning it was hard because I was missing the quick endorphin rush from purchasing something and I was so used to looking at the new releases online every day and hunting for the next cool thing. But when I went back to the stores in the beginning of February and looked at the items I thought wow, this is actually not good quality, this will not last very long, ok it looks kinda cool but it doesn't even fit me very well to begin with and oh my god there is so much stuff in this store it's overwhelming and stressing me out. Also obviously I saved a lot of money and my wardrobe has not become more cluttered. Instead I treated myself to a really nice fitting good quality pair of jeans and a few well made classic knitwear pieces that I wear pretty much every day and feel great in every time I put them on. More money, less stress, more peace of mind, less "constantly looking for stuff to keep looking trendy" ...game changer!

I unintentionally stopped shopping in fast fashion stores/purchasing fast fashion, and I went to a mall for the first time in over a year. I was shocked to find that I just wasn’t interested! The mall didn’t titillate my senses as it used to 😂. Even target no longer gives me the vapors! I’ve become a sucker for quality, and I’m mad I didn’t reach this conclusion sooner.

I needed this video to declutter my small space storage room! I’m right there with you as far as plastic. I buy target’s reusable snack and sandwich bags. For the price??? Sooo worth it!!! I don’t buy (freshly made) coffee anywhere. I brew my own. I purchase only organic ground coffee it’s not only cheaper, but healthier brewing my own!

I would love to see a video dedicated to the products you use that are skin/soap related. So body washes for you, the kids, laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, anything you use the scent the home or air purifiers, clean beauty products you now use or are trying to switch to, etc. I'm also trying to cut out a lot of toxins, hormone disruptors, and fragrances in my products and am curious what replacements you've found!

I do remember your extension OG days. Crazy how expensive being high maintenance is. I estimate I saved thousands of dollars when I decide to stop visiting the salon every 2 weeks. Also, I was offended when I logged in one day to order groceries from Whole Foods and saw that fee. I was like nope, we don’t need those things 😂

My son was just starting to take his first steps when he tripped and fell on the corner of our coffee table face first splitting open the inside of his lip. We had to rush him to hospital as he was bleeding so much, it was frightening as a new mum. Luckily we had covered the table with padded fabric for protection in case of an accident. Imagine how much worse the injury would have been without the padding!! It would have split his lip in two.

interesting!! Never heard of them! I've honestly just cut out anything scented because even if they aren't bad ingredients per se I don't see how it can truly benefit young kids by having the fragrance in the air so I've stopped using anything like it completely. My kids both have pretty sensitive skin / eczema / food allergies etc so I just prefer minimal additives anywhere possible
