    Peter Robert's "bio" is honest & i was so happy to have it, but it is sketchy in comparison w that by her young Spanish devoté, whose name escapes me because that book & much else in a package sent me from Barcelona was sadly stolen just after its delivery by the P.O. If you read Castellano, do not hesitate!

      ¿¨Castellano?¨. Spanish. ¨Castillian¨ is just an accent (and, some times, words) from a part of Spain, the center of it, let´s say. I´m from Madrid, for instance, but I don´t speak ¨castellano¨, but my friend Auxi, from Salamanca, she indeed does. But all of us, around the world, speak Spanish. Regards.

      @@Holderlin Yes, ofc. Victoria spoke Catalan most often in any case.

      @@mckavitt13 No, she didn´t... She was a friend of mine for many years, and usually she spoke in Spanish, of course, as most of the people does and it´s not polite to speak in an language spoke for most of the people. I heard her speaking English some times, and she spoke French more than beautifully.

      @@Holderlin I knew her too... had endearing experiences w her in NYC. But now I've heard her speak often in Catalan... on telly, radio, on her DVD. I know others who knew her intimately, lived w her. I even visited her once in Barcelona. I loved her so much. Now I work in her memory. Thanks for sharing. V kind of you. PS. Lucky you to have been a friend of hers!

    The hard times were emotionally wearying. She says it here. Her husband's infidelity was a terrible problem.

      @lochness11  8 лет назад +2

      Yes. I strongly believe that being such a trusting lady discovering about her husband would hit her very hard leaving her inwardly devastated and profoundly affecting her. She believed in Truth,Honesty and never thinking bad of anyone. These personal qualities were very apparent within a few minutes in her recitals.
