- The closing minutes of Victoria de los Angele's Jubilee Recital at the Palau de la Musica.Barcelona on the 45th anniversary of her 1944 debut at the Palau aged 20 years of age.
Maestro Manuel Garcia Morante is the piano accompanist on this very special evening.

Briefly,Clavelitos is about a street flower seller singing :"I'm supposed to be selling carnations, but for you my sweetheart I would give them all to you for nothing".
Many of the world's finest soloists and singers have performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.

Love this song.How I miss all of that generation of singers. With a very few exceptions today's lot fall way below their standards.

Two notes, and it could not be any other voice in the world. Today one giant generic wobble. I feel very lucky to have heard the singers of the last generation of the greats.
Es gibt glücklicherweise viele Möglichkeiten, die Aufnahmen und Aufzeichnungen dieser phantastischen Sängerin genießen zu dürfen. Dass es trotzdem viel zu wenige sind, ist das eigentliche Drama. Zu damenhaft wird oft geschrieben, ähnlich wie bei den Aufnahmen der wunderbaren Teresa Berganza, der geradezu negativ attestiert wurde, dass ihrer Kehle Gesangstöne ähnlich der Perlenketten einer Märchenfee entstiegen.
Ich persönlich empfand es eigentlich immer so, dass ihren Aufnahmen der Mimi, Violetta, Contessa, Nedda, Carmen und Madama Butterfly ein gewisser "irdischer" Unterton beigefügt war, dass ...., Phantasie!!!
Die beiden Aufnahmen der Madama Butterfly sind meiner Meinung nach gleichwertig zu den allerbesten Aufnahmen zu betrachten.

Hello Arnold. Yes I do have Victoria singing Adios Granada playing her guitar as an encore at the close of a recital she gave in the Royal Festival Hall,London in 1964.
