Drummer to drummer, I like your set up. Your drum fills have good discipline and a character of your own style. It's nice to see people our age still playing good music, nice cover, I enjoyed that.....
Nice ride work. I also like your tom rhythm choices in the second half. And the stick spins between chokes. When I played it, I never made it through that song happy. Great job Adam!
Bro you knocked it out of the park because something this difficult should not look that easy to play. Looked like you had just a little bit of fun doing that one. Precision playing with tons of showmanship, that was awesome
Holding my breath through the tricky part that starts 5:16, hoping that you won't stumble. You nailed it buddy. From a fellow drummer in Sweden who was also obsessed with learning this song in my youth.
Me again. You just nailed the toughest song ever wrote by Neil!! Your camera angles are great. I can really see what going on the kit as you play. I showed my wife your mammas boys videos and that you and I had been communicating. She smiled. If you ever come to Texas give me a look up.
Bravo! Bravo! Through all the years of watching and waiting, you are the only one that even comes close to the real deal. That shows your level of commitment and skill par excellence. Neil, RIP, is smiling, too, I bet.
OK, first of all, I'm on my sixth faze of Rush being my favorite band. Which leads into even seeing your videos. This pops up and I stopped to watch. My goodness, perfection, the twirls too, you show off. As stated earlier, Neil has a grin on his face. I'm sharing, magnificent ✨️
Great job, this is an extremely difficult Neil song to emulate, I know. It's drummers like yourself that " RUSH " needs to audition in order to keep the band alive... Great Job !!!
Copy cat lol! Rush needs to have no drum aditions, no one could ever replace neil peart! his presence, energy, drumming, there are many drummers that can play rush well, This guy did a great job.
Very good ..very, very good! There is not one other drummer on the planet that has inspired & influenced so many, like the master Neil Peart ; With that in mind it's fair to say that this is a commendable tribute to the genius of the master .. the one & only, 'The Professor' , Neil Peart! 👏👏👍
Check out Professor Johnston drop into the pocket at 1:33 Alex and Ged - are you boys listening? Canadian winters are dark cold and boring You better pick him up before Maynard does He’s got his landline phone right behind his stool ready for the call The essentials in a time of essentialism: killing the fill right at 3:51 Drumgasm 4:51 to 5:55 We may not need more cowbell, but can I get some more stick twirls around 6:30? Congrats, dude this is very well done!
@@adamjohnston2311 I can't remember the last video of yours that I watched, but I remember the sound quality was great, same as this one. Looking forward to more, take care.
Well done! Loved your The Camera Eye as well. Playing anything Peart is incredibly challenging but you knocked it out of the park. I think you have honored his memory and he would have enjoyed it.
Just watched this, plus Camera Eye and Bad Reputation. Songs I know and love so well since I was a teen. I simply have no words for how stellar and out of this world your drumming level is. Especially this one - La Villa. I mean, the drumming complexity of this song - it's almost beyond human! Don't know how you do it. Am speechless. 😲
I think that one thumbs down was just from the coffee shakes ...... I only heard one hihat strike out of place by a nanosecond ......... think I might have heard a jogging fart in the overheads during a drum roll ..... other than those two items, the almost atomic precision and the atomic fart this is a master piece.
Adam, there is a little detail that might help the flow for the main drive on the highhat (16th notes).. they are actually 16th note triplets with paradiddle accents on the highhat openings. It’s harder to play but helps with flow and eliminates the right hand time adjustments. Not criticizing, just one drummer to another..
On point ! Great stamina yammies sound awesome you know your stuff Adam been listening to rush and playing for decades have the skill but not the courage to put it together if that can make any sense lol Keep it up !
Rush fans are the best and dedicated.
Yes they are.
Mother of god that was impressive. And you even somehow found time to flair!
Thanks man!
This was a fun one to cover.
WOW.. just Woooow. This is one of my absolute favourite pieces from Neil and this was by far the closest representation of it I’ve seen. Amazing job!
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it. Super fun to cover. What a challenge. But at this point Rush is in my blood : )
The hemispheres tour 1979 was fantastic. That was the best concert from Rush that I saw. Moving pictures in 1981 came in second.
Absolutely mind blowing.

My favorite album and first tour. Poughkeepsie April, 3 1979.
This was my first tour seeing Rush too. Tour of the Hemispheres. Pat Travers opened. IT WAS MIND BLOWING EPIC! INCREDIBLE.
