Great video! I have the U50 S all black and was pretty skeptical about the scratch resistance but its now my daily driver and still looks new. Bremont is another brand that does a hardening process on their steel so I recently purchased one of their watches and even though I don't wear it as often, there are no scratches on it either. Props to both of these independents for showing some of the bigger houses how it should be done!
Agreed on the regimented version. It’s a big reason to go with Sinn in general over other watches. My u50 is a little older and still looks 100% new. It’s amazing.
I am going to pick my u50, I am gald you mentioned about the bracelet and caseback, it is something people might missing about. Thanks for sharing the real wearing experience😊
I had the Sinn U50, sold it and massively regretted letting it go. I now have the Sinn U50 SDR, and will definitely not be letting this one go, it’s a keeper for sure.Accuracy is incredible, and it doesn’t gain or lose a second. It’s more accurate than my Rolex Milgauss z-blue, that gains an impressive +2 seconds a day. Great review by the way.
Would it fit well with a 6 inch wrist? And by that I mean would the watch look too big? Trying to avoid watch wearing the person vs the person wearing the watch…oftentimes happening when lugs extend over the wrist
I have had a sinn 756 for 9 years not a dive watch but still 200m WR which i love and been tegimented its still hardly got a scratch on it but im not a fan of the bracelets
The non Tegimented version still has a Tegimented bezel. There really is no reason to buy a Tegimented U50 if you’re wearing it on a rubber strap. I understand why to buy it but reality is there’s very limited benefit for the additional $500. And I hate to say it. If you ever sell pre owned I’m pretty sure the non T version sells easier and retains more of its original value. I would much rather spend $310 on the additional colored strap with extra buckle from Sinn.
The ONLY thing regimented on the non T version is the bezel (at least per the US distributors description). Why wouldn’t you want a scratch resistant regimented case? That’s only available on the fully regimented model.
@@CorkKNIFE because it’s rare that the case is the part of the watch that makes contact with anything once on your wrist. The difference in price doesn’t add up to the value.
@@TheCdM1981 Noted, but your post made it sound as if only the bracelet was tegimented so there was no added value to the paying for the full tegiment treatment when wearing on a band. Most scratches are on the bracelet clasp, bezel or case. I don't understand getting a model that is known for its tegiment treatment and cheapening out at the last moment to "save" a few hundred bucks. Also note people might wear it on a band WITH the tegimented clasp, which again is one of the highest wear areas and is only available on the full tegiment watch.
I always disappointed to watch reviews about a watch, see the wrist shots and dimensions of a watch being given but hear or see no dimensions of the shown wrist with that watch on mentioned in any shape or form. It's not written anywhere, it's not talked about, etc. And then I learn that this review was done by a "watch journalist". Quite pathetic, IMO.
Don't be disappointed. It's an owner's thoughts about his watch, not exactly a review of the model. If you are curious how the watch looks like on your wrist, head down to a boutique! Trying is free.
@@isochrono - I live in a Chicago suburb and simply do not know any brick and mortar stores selling these watches in the Illinois. That's why, like the majority of people who are interested in knowing more about this watch, I rely on the RUclips videos on the subject.
There are about a million reviews of this watch on RUclips. Instead of taking the time to make a whiny comment on this vid, use that time to find another vid.

Nice video, and brilliant use of the bezel!
Great video, love the Rainbow Flyback too!

Great video! You definitely deserve more subscribers
Keep up the good work
It’s the most innovative way of using the diving bezel I have been heard😂🤣😂🤣
Great review! 👍
The U50 is the perfect one watch collection.

Great video I have the U50 DS
Nice 👍 Coincidentally, we have some original photography of the U50 DS scheduled to go on our instagram

i used bezzel to track swim distance on pool, after interval turn bezel click per pool lenght, and at 12clock is swim distance
That's an interesting idea. Might be good to get more feedback from others on non traditional uses of a diving bezel.
I own the U50, but I would never swim with it.
Mind sharing where you got that strap?
Plenty on Aliexpress.
@@isochronothanks!
Wrist?
The caseback of tegimented Sinns is not hardened.
“This $3k watch isn’t too expensive for me, but I live in an apartment…..”
Interesting video. Unfortunately your voice is hard panned to the right. That makes it unwatchable with headphones.:(
@our_roadtrip Noted on this. Was not experienced enough to take care of it when I made the video.
What red rubber strap is it
Something cheap from Aliexpress. Quality is surprisingly good.

Oh that is tasteful...We have an in-depth review of your watch on our website. isochrono.com/beautiful-but-flawed-the-sinn-u50-s-mother-of-pearl/
wow.... somebody buying and using the Sinn U50 just because its a watch he's affordable to lose ... :(
Baba!
No wrist size? what a downer
