Canon IXUS was a similar camera and even smaller. Way ahead of its time. You should review that and see how it holds up in 2020.

Can anyone help me? I have pentax optio l-10 point & shoot camera. Everytime im removing the battery in my camera to charge it, the settings will always restart and i really hate it

One of my favourite series of photographer videos is DigitalRev’s Cheap Camera Challenge series. This video is a techier version and offers a lot of the same elements that I enjoy in the CCC videos.

I use the Optio S5i and it's great! The dedicated battery model better! way better. My 1st was 2004, but severe battery problem. Use power ni-cads. Or plug a Honda generator in power source. Oh quality great 8x12 inches easily. Best, note BEST color of all my cameras. Used it on pro gigs. My surprise a Kodak Easy-Share. Very fast, no focus and downloads so fast! Files are Big!
I found this camera cleaning out my closet. I bought it back in the day for $2 bucks on Ebay. Why so cheap for 6mg.I thought? I found out. It never took a good shot indoors in good light. And to take a pic you have to hold the battery lid shut, pressure with your fingers. So seeing your video inspired me to take this camera with me as my general fun pocket camera. Trip camera, street camera etc. As a backup to my other cameras & my iPhone. Black & White and Macros, and off-color photoshop heavy processed photos are the way to go. The 6mp is a joke on this camera. I have a 1mp Sony pro camera that is lightyears from this funky little thing. But thanks to your video I'm inspired. Instagram fun camera!

Look on the internet for sample images shot with ANY Pentax Optio and your mind will be blown EVERYTIME! This camera ( And most pentax p&s ) should not be appearing on a 'Most hated' video. :)
I'm watching this video at 360p on my phone and the images look good.
You guys also show that a talented photographer can get some good shots. Even with a terrible camera.

Cameras I hate, huh?
That would be Zenit ET (or EM, or any fully mechanical Zenit camera for that matter). Horrible viewfinder (67% of the frame, often misaligned), little to none QC, very heavy winding that almost guaranteed to tear your film apart, and very limited set of shutter speeds (1/500-1/30 + B), that are not the same between cameras, some say they've seen examples with 2-stop(!) difference between units.
There are good ones but that's like 1 to 1000 odds of finding one.
Though general consensus is that the cameras that were exported outside USSR were better

Shortly after the "turn of the century," (2004?) I bought a Fuji Finepix E500, which had similar specifications. It was a 4.1 MP, "let's-see-what-digital-photography-is-all-about" P&S. It worked just fine, though it did drain Alkaline batteries quickly, so eventually I switched to Lithium AA cells. I eventually gave it to a family friend who was on her way to the Philippines to take family pictures there with just a film camera. Would I buy another? I don't believe any camera is bad however limited it's capable of bringing about a result within its limitations enough good pictures, if the user knows what he wants from it and it's no exception to this camera too. A bad workman will always dissatisfied with the tools he has in hand and there's no limit to goodness and flexibility when you feel you stuck with your equipment and have alternatives to give you freedom to get along with your want. Pictures composed well and generated some interesting messages we all strive to produce and some of us do it what is pleasant to the eye and that in turn pushes us to produce something tangible or abstract attracting the artistic minds.

Can’t wait to see more of this! I’ll throw in a vote for the Nikon Df. Lovely on paper, lovely to look at from the front side, but just a disappointing D6x0 experience to shoot with, only worse ergos, worse battery, meh build, and perpetually disappointing AF. There are cult followers who will vocally disagree, but they are wrong 🤪. All of its faults would be more forgivable, but then there is the price which seems to be out of touch with reality.
Isn't the worlds most hated camera the Yashica Y35 digifilm? The one that peed on the beautiful company and cameras that Yashica once made and was...

Don’t pick on Pentax! Lol. Yeah, I’ll pass on that one. I did own the K10D and at 10 megapixels it was outstanding. I now have my beloved Pentax K-1. A very underrated camera.

@@thomastaylor9237 is it worth the money I'm thinking about it I feel like it's a big upgrade from the gr II how is the durability that's the only problem I've ever had with gr2. But then again I think I must every camera I have that's 5 years old has at least one button broken on it they certainly don't build them to last like they used to..
Man, the K-1 is a beast... favourite camera I use today... and I have a Fuji X-pro2 and a Sony A7.
unbroken1010 yeah, only time will tell. That APSC 24 megapixel sensor works terrific. My only wish is that it was weather sealed. I already have an external Pentax flash to use if I need it and just picked up the GW 21mm lens for the GR iii. It looks awesome. The GR iii is with me everywhere I go.
Now I want one...

What would you say were the best CCD cameras of the era?
We've only tried Leica m8 and canon 5d mk1. Both which have beautiful colors.

Most the cameras from this time. Sucked first leica and minox were absolute trash.
I thought the edits were pretty nice ... but that white balance! Yikes! I hope Denae's feet have recovered, too.

Why would I shoot with this camera? As a backup to my backup DSLR, I’d use this as a goof to send garbage pics to my friends. I like a challenge.

Most hated during it's time. I thought that would be obvious. Most of the cameras in this series have dwindled into obscurity because they were hated and flopped when they came out.

so you're bashing Pentax most of them made crappy point-and-shoots at this time do I need to bring up the first Leica a deluxe one or that's horrible minox. Both trash I've had black and white pictures out of the Ricoh gr that people think are full frame. that said they did need a lot of work on their color but so did everybody else
