Thanks Andrew. That was a very interesting take on the rule of thirds. It is talked about so much, but this was the deepest dive I remember. Love it. I want more deep dives like this. So wonderful. Thanks again Andrew.
Awesome! Thank you for posting this.
Amazing insights, as always. Thank you! 😊
I am guilty of this exact trap, and never realized. Total eye opener. Thank you so much for this brilliant and in-depth explanation. Look forward to learning more from you!
I'm glad you posted this! I remember taking this course! That course along with your asynchronous mentoring and this channel were key in getting me started in photography! Always grateful and glad to see you back to posting regularly.
You literally helped shape that course.
Thanks for embarking on this series! This was helpful.
You're right, sometimes I used rule of thirds just to use it, without any reason. Negative space looked empty, but I didn't know how to fix it. Thanks for telling us about this problem!
Hearing the Rule of Thirds referenced in cinematic terms makes a lot of sense. And YES! I'd love to see more clips from your photography course. This is incredibly helpful and insightful.
Thanks Andrew for this video
Super insightful! i feel like i end up using it in the way of balance if there's a lot of stuff to put in the frame, but have def used it as a just because to. Gave me a lot to think here!
Great video, thank you.
Stuff I didn't know about thanks!
I was just getting around to signing up for your course, but see that it's no longer open, so yes, I'd love to see more of that content repurposed!!!
What a brilliant video - Thank you very much!
اتفق معك في كل ما قلت . وانا في الحقيقة استفدت كثيرا من هذه الفيديو . شكرا لك
Layering and the rule of odds please :) my favourite things to play with together to find balance in an image.
What a fantastic video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I watched this the night before a big event. It did help me break out of the rule of thirds trap. Photos that strictly adhere to it feel generic and it was getting boring to me. Just a tiny little change in how wide I shoot and slight repositioning of the subjects in frame makes all of the difference.
You’ve provided a lot of great information over the years, but this is one of your best
Glad it was helpful!
You are looking for the 5 leg cat with this video.....
Going to guess that's an idiom of some kind, I like it!
@@CianMcsweeneyapparently it is in Puerto Rico.
