Robocop 2 had that late 80s early 90s craziness so i think its a fun movie in it's own right.
I adore the first film. 2 ain’t bad tbh. 3 however I’d argue is one of the worst films ever made.

Robocop is one of my all time favourite films. I also really enjoyed Robocop 2.
Robocop 1 & 2 are absolute classics. It’s RoboCop 3 that sucks.
Update - just saw the hiya Cain figure is up for pre-order on Amazon. And it looks awesome. Doesn’t come out until August 31 though
I get the issues with 3, bit I honestly dont think its as bad as people say it is. Like 1 is a masterpeice, and 2's plot is a mess. 3 I feel like is a dumb B-Movie, almost like what you expect to get when you hear the name Robocop. Im not saying its good, bit its entertaining and I go back to it more than 2.

My only major issue with Robocop 2 was the awful crime they committed, not hiring Basil Poledorus to score the sequel, or use any of his incredible original score.
It would be amazing if they had a like rc version so you could make it walk and the top swivel, yeah I'd love to see that, great vid man. Stay well..
Fantastic review as usual Anthony, but last time I checked, Robocop 1 was one of the highest regarded 80's films thanks to the biting satire, the heavy use of subtext such as social apathy, the acting, pacing score. I respect your opinion but you got me curious on why you don't think it holds up (unless you erroneously meant the terrible sequels!)

Hiya seems to be really upping the craft of their small scale figs now. I kinda passed them off as gappy and lacking, but seeming recent product shots I might have to pick something up eventually.
The Hot Toys model is fantastic and I’m definitely picking this one up too!
I've just seen it in a online store in my country and it costs near 100U$ dolars but after watching your review I think it's worth every cent. Thank you!

Loved that figure, will try to get one for me as long as I can get Robocop figure too. And might replace that speaker to try and get better sound out of it - not louder but clearer..?

I love RoboCop! The Old Movies has a nice nostalgic feel now but haven’t aged great. Robocop 2 Had average. Toys were cool though!
I do not LOVE a motion picture known as Robocop 2 . . . but I do enjoy it.
Impresed by this little figure. Solid release.
Robocop 1 is an absolute masterpiece; Robocop 2 I really enjoy but I'm perfectly willing to admit it's vastly inferior to the first movie in terms of plot, characters and suspension of disbelief. It has a lot of redeeming aspects like RoboCain being a weird mix of horror & sci-fi villain and keeping the pacing and satire of the first movie.
A gunslinger sort of custom figure would be cool or a gunslinger predator I would live to see that
I love RoboCop 2! This one looks better than NECAs ED209. Looks more accurate. The head on ED 209 from NECA looks too slimmed down. This one looks movie accurate.
Looks good, I have the neca one which is nice I think has the same articulationas well, both are basically just an accent piece to the Robocop figure. Of course Robocop 1 was great , Robocop 2 I don't even remember.
First movie is the better one. I would love to have this guy and a Robocop figure but in 1/12 scale.
Im a Robocop super fan, its my favorite movie ever. I have a metric ton of figures, including Hot Toys, and even a laserdisk signed by Peter Weller. I like all the movies, but the 2nd is probably my least favorite.

@@WHITEYBHOY2 I have two figures from the Robocop 3 line (which was my first exposure to Robocop), a new in box Alpha Commando bike, figma Robocop, Mafex Robocop, Neca gun holdster Robocop, Neca Jetpack Robocop, Play Arts Kai Robocop 87 and black 2014, Neca Hiya AND Moderoid Ed-209, Hot toys Robocop, Battle Damaged Robocop, and Alex Murphy, Hiya toys Robocop 2, spray painted Robocop 2, and Robertcop.
I like this ED-209, I once thought about buying it together with the Hiya Toys Robocop but I gave up on the idea since I had to spend a bit and I don't have that big of a thing for Robocop.
In my opinion, voice, movement or light gimmicks (be it electronic or light piping) are a complete waste of money since after posing the figure in my display I will never use them again and most often then not they end up limiting the articulation and raising the price point.

I thought this was one of the better robot designs of all time. Decidedly "intimidating" to say the least. I just got the model being reviewed here and it seems quite good. But it is smallish. I've often wondered just how much more it would really cost to make something two or three times larger. I know there are other larger ones out there. It never seemed to me that the cost would go up anything near proportionally. I wonder if Hiya made one just the same way with the same level of detail but twice the scale (8 times the volume) if it would really have to cost very much more.
2 was pretty good imo or from what I remember. Cain's robot was the single reason why for me tho.

It looks like many are commenting on how they liked the various Robocop movies. So, I guess one more opinion won't kill anybody. Robocop 1 - 9 out of 10. Robocop 2 - 7 out of 10. Robocop 3 - 4 out of 10. Makes me sort of glad they didn't come out with Robocop 4. Unless you want to call that the 2014 remake of Robocop 1 which I give 7 out of 10.
Bro, I totally love both, Robocop AND Robocop 2. Having said that, theyve not aged very well. ...rather they give them this kind of vibe, where they've always been "B moovies". Which gives it another weird, "surreal" feeling that I think is in turn, making the Robocop movies (1 & 2, the rest were trash) become cult films, that will eventually lasting even longer, than they would have otherwise. Robocop 2 was bad? Blasphemy!!! The concept of a psychopath mind trapped in a robot was a scary story to me when I was young. The animation was not bad and still is great till this day.
I wonder if that is good enough to do stop motion with?

1:17 for me robocop 1 was alright, robocop 2 great, and robocop 3 was so-so.
I think they’re good popcorn movies. I’m not looking for something deep and philosophical watching a movie like Robocop…. And when the first movie did it it was kinda tacky and heavy handed. I think most people don’t make that delineation when consuming media, but to each their own.
How much is this going for?
Yeah,it's a pleasant figure but not a perfect 10;I give it a 8.5
A) the speaker is barely audible
B) the three small fingers (or claws) are not articulate
C) all plastic; I'd have liked some metal parts here and there
1 is a classic
2 is a disappointment
3 is utter trash

Haven't watched Robocop 2 in years, but I remember liking it.
Robocop 3 on the other hand was so bad, even as a kid I knew it was a terrible movie.

One of the worst of all time? I enjoy Robocop 2, I think it's underrated and I sometimes enjoy it more than the 1st... by no means am I saying it's better than the 1st, I just enjoy it more sometimes.
Robocop 1 and 2 are good for their times. 3 was just... meh. Also, the better option to this is the NECA ED-209.

Robocop is a cult classic. I wouldn't call the sequels the worst movies, but they are ass.
