Man, now I wish I had the 1994 Toy Island Robocop police car. This new Robocop would totally fit in it.
For as small as Robocop is, he is nicely detailed. The sculpt is solid. The paint application is clean. Of course, the collector friendly packaging is a huge plus. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate it!
Two things: I've been wishing for this figure since 1989. I am SOLD! Great review! and 2: Man, you have a great voice. Subscribed! Thank you for this great review. I'll be back once I order one of these wonderful figs.
I just saw this on an online store here in Q8 today and I'm gonna order mine on paycheck! Robocop brings back memory of my mom, we watched it when I was little...I was mimicking Robocop with placing my cap covering my eyes and walk in the streets like robot, then my legs fell down in the man hole and my mom is so furious coz I've got stinky mud all over my legs haha! I was 5yrs old 🇵🇭 miss you mom! 😢
That's a lot of detail for this scale and the package is a great touch

For the scale this figure packs a lot of detail in paint and sculpt! Great review
It has a better paint app than the 12" Hot Toys version
The Hot Toys one is not badly painted. It's just too silver. The first movie had Robocop blueish grey.The second movie had him blue and almost pearlescent. Of course if you do a specific Robocop 2 figure it will have more colours. All the Hot Toys one need is a little bit of transparent navy blue airbrushed and it look fantastic. That's what I did with mine.

Yeah but the ht one is also bigger, has remote voice gimmicks, die cast parts, Peter Wellers lower face and swappable damaged armor. Sculpt is also 100 percent accurate. Sucks that they messed up the paint scheme but I still see mine as the definitive robocop toy. I love the ht robocop as much as this hiya version since they're both great figures.
I have never been a collector of RoboCop or predator figures of any scale, I enjoyed the movies when they came out back in the day,
As a collector of 6 inch and 3.75 inch star wars figures I've never been drawn to them, however, recently I saw the 3.75 predator figures in a local sci fi /comic shop when out buying more Star wars, I then noticed the RoboCop figure to ,so now I have 8 of the different predators and a RoboCop scattered amongst my star wars displays, its actually good fun popping them in the displays and forgetting about them ,then getting a surprise when I spot them scattered throughout my displays.
Another preorder for me - so very glad to see that the production version looks as good as the promo shots. In regards to the hopes for a Cain - I couldn’t agree more. The alternate Robocop 2 figure Hiya is making shows the damage incurred by the fight with Cain from the film - so my hopes for a Cain figure are very (cautiously) high. Thanks again for another great review.
With the new good smile company line, I think they would be the best bet for a Robocain figure. As a kit.
ordered this one and I'm shocked at the low price, I'm used to small figures and expected to see it at ridiculous price like with NECA, nope! low price! amazing and startling.
I've been interested in checking out their product. I think I'm going to get one of each Robocop from the movies and ED209.

Just found this one today men my collection is complete
I like how they made the package collection friendly. But I would most likely just open him up anyway. I'm also digging how they do thier display stands could link all of them together and have a nice little display. Dare I say that I would pick this little guy up before I would save up for the hot toys version.(Just my opinion, no one has to agree with that)

Sometimes the articulation is a bummer with these figures cuz they're so nice looking
And people can't say its the scale cuz joy toy is killing it right now with articulation
Might have to pick this one up to go along with that new ED-209. I'm not a huge Robocop 2 fan, but I really hope they do make a Kane figure, because I know A LOT of people want morer Kane.
Way too small but I do like the idea of the box. I just wish the figure was bigger.
Buy Robocop made by Mafex then. More expensive but bigger. This one is like 20$ and Mafex is like 200$

Breaking News: HIYA will release a CAIN figure in 1/18 scale.
My Robocop 1 version has the exact same iridescent blue color instead of a more silver look, I actually thought I was getting a Robocop 2 figure because I barely looked at the packaging, Id say the color you have is close to the film check out a side-by-side of the different suits

How’d you get a great colored hiya robocop 2 fig when other ones I find on eBay are extremely green!
My preorder never turned up but got a refund finally today. Will have to buy it from somewhere else. This looks like the best 4" scale Robocop ever - previously the Kotobukiya one was the best but this has more articulation.

I had this whole set pre-ordered at one point but cancelled it as I just don’t collect figures in this scale. Looks cool though. I’d love to see a police car from the movies to go with the set.
All the badass G.I. Joe figures and vehicles should be compatible to them.
So no swivel at the elbow? Please take a couple of more seconds with the articulation when you review the battle damaged one.

I just like the fact that a Hiya Toys figure can actually put his arms to his sides. So annoyed with that, even on the female figures.
