I was 7 when the original robocop came out... and not being that well off, i had to be strategic when spending my birthday and christmas 'earnings'. I remember going all in and getting the Kenner Ed 209 (Ed 260) and never regretted it. That thing was the crown jewel of my frankenstein of a toybox, and i've missed it dearly over the years. I ordered this one to add to my display; thanks for your review.
I remember getting the Kenner Ed also back in the day too, it was a perfect scale also for my GIJOEs to have to contend with, big massive and didn't it also have the cap firing gimmick too? I had the other Robocop figures too but they weren't as nice, didn't really capture the likeness from the cartoon but while I eventually gave those away I kept Ed for a long time before finally parting ways with it, good good times! thanks for stopping by and checking out the video jcnbw01 btw wanted to ask you, are you able to see all my new videos showing up in your subscription feed? have heard from a couple of viewers they aren't seeing the newer ones popping up?
@@TheReviewSpot Yes I had no idea what that cap firing lever thing was at the time, but it also became the unique way I was able to identify that specific model :) Just recently subscribed to the channel, so guessing it'll take a few days before the recommendations start to pop up. Noticed that the new videos tend to pop up more if that's the type of content I've been recently consuming.
Hiya is really killing it with this scale. ED209 looks so good you forget how small he is

I'm so glad companies are doing 1:18 scale again. It's always been my favorite and in working on customs, too. I've never been a fan of 1:12 scale, so the trend towards 3.75" lately is fantastic.
I'm a big fan of the size myself too, I grew up with GIJOE being my go to Toy line, it was a perfect size too because you could scale small and super big vehicles to those figures and the vehicles were still the right size to be playing with, I mean a Skystriker a kid at 5 could still fly one around in the backyard. Even as an adult now I still enjoy the size of a 4 inch figure, they're still super detailed but they don't take up so much space on a shelf either...thanks for the comment
BTW Adam I just wanted to ask you if you’re able to see the newer videos here on the channel, do they still show up on your subscription Feed? There’s an ongoing glitch with RUclips’s Notifications causing a lot of older viewers to either not be notified when a new video goes up on here OR even worst they think I haven’t been posting anything for years.
If you haven’t already could you turn on the bell notifications which should fix the problem if it doesn’t one workaround that other viewers have done is unsubscribe to this channel then go back and re subscribe, then turning on the Bell notifications again should get it back to normal

At least this figure says ED 209s most iconic line. "Please put down your weapons." The Neca mega figure does not say it... "I LIKE IT!" 😉😁

ED0-209 looks really good and he's nicely detailed, especially for being as small as he is. Of course, the inclusion of audio is much appreciated. He should've had a darker paint application, just like in the movie, but that's a tiny nitpick. Ankle articulation could've been improved. Overall, this is a solid release on the part of Hiya Toys. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video. I really appreciate the hard work. Keep it up!

You can actually move all three of his toes for additional articulation. I found it out after playing with it for a bit.

Dang, I stopped collecting figures for die-cast cars but might get these. If a Cain comes out I'm in for sure.

This just popped up on Amazon for me so I wanted to check out a review. Good review. I wonder though... is the left elbow backwards? It looks like the wires should be on the outside like the right elbow.
This seems pretty much like a scaled down version of the Neca figure. Up to the sounds.

agreed looks like a fake ED. Can't believe they got the color wrong 🤦♂️
Yeah not sure why the colour is so Blue, maybe it was a factory error when they were painting them
Honestly wasn't worth the buy. The legs gave in over time and doesn't stand anymore. Definitely not meant to be played with kids.
