    Ive got the same kitchen knife. I like your nice simple functional knives.

    i love it when folks who have scant clue what they're talking about lecture others. thats cool though i like how no frills, simple and functional all of your stuff is an not wankery or anything silly, it's all real salt of the earth stuff. thats cool. that 4116 steel is considered "german steel" cuz they're the ones known for using it in kitchen knives but it's made anywhere, mostly in china these days. it's a fine stainless steel for a kitchen knife, no big deal. kai, aka kershaw is an american co, they do have major business operations including manufacturing in Japan though.
