- We traveled to the Eurotripper show in Fort Myers, FL at JetBlue Park where Daniel and his MK7 3.6 VR6 Swap were on full display! We wanted to hear from Daniel! Why did he want to do this? How did he do this? Was it worth it?! We let him tell the story!

Matt with the 3.6 MK6 here, just wanted to clarify that Juan at Luft Technik in Coral Springs was the one who did all of the swap work on my car. I did buy my engine from Danny but that is all.
There's a million RS3 swapped Golf R's now so seeing this is so much more refreshing.

i work on VWs all the time on the side and swapped my mk4 Jetta with r32 engine, im always willing to help locals who have trouble. the VW community is about help, and making other people happy with their builds. i cant say much about other communities because last time i was at a jdm show dudes were pretty cocky when i asked certain questions, and just unfriendly. the hot rod community is like the vw, willing to help and have fun with you. they helped with minor issues i was having with my old mans C10. This guy seems like an honest person.
The mk7/7.5 community is a lot more toxic than the mk4/5 community lol. Everyone in my area is stuck up snobs about their cars.
i know, most are ignorant kids and hopefully they grow up some day. they can still fix that chassis with a simple scan and a sensor. just wait until timing chains go, or figuring why "their OTS tune" starts imploding engines. they will run to write reviews on the forums/facebook groups how its garbage. yet they cant read AFR, or listen to knocking. not my first rodeo.....

Would ya guyz help me get a RS3 engine into my GTI Clubsport MK7 lolz. Thats my dream, and will most likely stay a dream haha. Anyways have a full custom turbo back which sounds glorius. Non res Cobra Sport catback with Invidia highflow dp on a sport cat.. Will continue be happy for that! Cheers! 😎 👍

Fair play to the guy for swapping the R32 engine with the Passat R36 engine. They've been doing this for quite a while in Europe and one company biTurbo'd it to make close to 800hp.
R36 Passat is a better car honestly a damned shame

I actually bought a 2008 R32 from Danny as my first car. He’s the best out there! I really do recommend his shop for all your vw needs and wants. It’s the pinnacle of vw shops in south Florida, they do an amazing job every time!
These are my favorite type of DAP videos. This and the Mk6 VR6 were great. Would love to see more of this type of content.
It's great to see some love for 305VDUB and Daniel! They are my favorite mechanic and are the only people I trust to modify my MK7 Jetta!! They just fixed my intake/interior yesterday lol

great video DAP. 305vdub is one of the best vw/audi specialists around town. Always a family friendly experience and are super reasonable with pricing. 👍🏻 They’ve done quite some work to my previous 2 VW’s anything from suspension work, to turbo/motor swaps. These guys know their VW’s inside out.
I've also got a silver MK7 GTI except it's a 2 door and manual. I could see myself in the future doing something like this, perhaps with a VW engine that doesn't exist yet. Thank you Daniel and this community!

I was at EuroTripper being I live 30 min away. It was a nice show, and I got to take my 400whp Mk6. Saw this car and loved it, and can’t forget about those big brakes
Wow, Daniel, way to go! We’ve got some things in common. My name is Daniel, too, and I also wanted a Golf 7 with a 3.6 VR6 engine. The German tuner HGP-Turbo built a face lifted 2018 Golf R for me with a twin turbo 3.6, a beefed up DQ500, other RS3 goodies and Audi RS6 brakes (400mm rotors), that just about fit under the 19” OZ Ultraleggera wheels with slight modifications. The car is a lot of fun. Either doing errands or letting it stretch it’s legs on the Autobahn. Thanks for sharing your build and keep up the good work!

VR anything = turn up the volume. Looks dope on the CH's, I used to have them on my e46 m3. This thing just needs a third pedal and then it would be even better IMO 😁👍

Search for the german Tuner HGP. They planted a B36 from the Passat in a Mk7 R which produces 800HP

a shame that VW is no longer offering this engine in its "R"-models ..
You should then see the HGP Golf 7,5 with a R32 engine and big Turbo! Aprox. 800 horespower! Awesome!

Holy smokes i that VW put the vr6 in a mk7 GTI. VW did it in the mk3 gti i had a 08 vr6 Passat AWD premium. Very nice work. I've been a VW guy since I was about 5 or 6 in 71-72 from my uncle who had bought a beetle.

The trans issue is caused because the mk6 Passat has different ratios in the trans. You need a mk7 trans or the gearset out of one and it will run and drive
