Although people complain a lot about this mod because it is not inside the console, this method is really very simple and effective. Not only does it reduce the temperature, it makes the original fan spin less, therefore it will last longer! Very effective, thank you very much, I did it and it is very noticeable that the side part of the console (under the CPU) does not heat up at all!
It's good idea, ive done this, but i added a dc step up to step up the voltages to 9v and its work, the temperature is more cooler than just use the 5v usb default voltage, and still less noise
For better results and at the same time quiet operation, I have soldered a 120mm Fan with a 9 volts DC adapter bundled with one on/off switch, to shut it down whenever the console is shut, because on that solution (USB) the fan is always running, and 9 volts is allot better than 5 volts, it extracts even more heat at the same time with balanced quietness.
Yes you are right, 9 volts is better. 12 volts is loud. Anyhow I cut the power from the power strip when I don't use the 360. It saves on electricity, and gives it a longer lifespan.
guys hi, is one fan is enough? and is it safe if I connect 2 fans to one adapter? Just bought an elite version and it doesn't have a side fan like the slim does
Not really, it just drops the temps so the original fan has less work to do, spinning slower, hence the noise reduction. In your case, the thermal paste has probably gone dry, or has too much dust buildup clogging the heatsink
Cool mod! Let me ask you, how is it possible that you can see temperature in the dashboard? What kind of mod or firmware is that and do you know if it can be used on the Xbox E probably Corona model?
The 12cm fan at 5 volts is basically inaudible. The idea is not to get to 80ºC, keep the console as cool as possible and avoid the red ring of death. 😢
@@netsudro ITS A SLIM IT DOESNT GET THE RED RING. THE RED RING WASNT CAUSED BY HEAT IT WAS DUE TO DEFECTIVE CHIPS. (They can still get red rings but rarely from chip failure)
@Ricardo17 tv gracias bro!! Intentaste el método del video te funciono? Cuando juego con el aire apagado me luego de un rato dice "no se puede leer el disco" por eso pienso que es que se recalienta
Just take out the fan and put it in the Xbox at that point or even since it’s modded just turn the fan speed up. Why are you even doing this? What’s the point it’s not gonna red ring.
It moves more air, so the original fan doesn't need to speed up, so the system is quieter overall than if you don't have it. See the title "modded for silence" ?. "just turn the fan speed up" will do the opposite of that.
@@davidste60 literally there’s no need to mount it on the case. Remove the old fan and wire it into the console.. at least make it look good if your gonna do that..
@@IMDYT420 He wants two fans because together they can move enough air at a slower speed (of rotation) and therefore make less noise while still keeping the console cool enough. Replacing the internal fan won't do that either.

Sets a fan on the side.
setting a fan on it isn't really a mod

Incredible thanks!!! M definitely going to do this b4 I start playing my 360 elite gamming again
This hack is to silence the original fan? Any reason why the original fan would be so loud? Mine gets loud sometimes.

When your xbox gets hot enough the fan changes from 5v to 12v...that's why it gets loud sometimes
Heat
Give it a blowy
Good news everybody! Its 2022, They make USB fans now. Haha!
So basically place a fan on top of the original fan and it will help it vent out the air better?
This is way Better than that nyko piece of stylish shit.
Lol
if i solder a coper wire from my xbox to my air conditioning outside would that work? or would that be too overkill because the A.C. lines freeze?
I think you mean 120mm fan
Is that fan pushing air in or pulling it out?
Can i take a 12V dc fan as well for the xbox?
Im going to hook a dell 780 cooling fan up to a usb and use it my Xbox 360 slim type e
I need one of these. Except I have the 360 E, not the 360 Slim...
is the xbox 360 fan blows out air or in ?

Ano Nymous that is freeboot
It's called Aurora.
it's modded with the RGH chip
Can i use any USB?
Wait what do you do at 2:48?
Connecting red wire of cooler with red wire of USB cabl, black wires same method.
how did you jailbreak your Xbox 360 Slim
PLease if you know leave me the link and how to jtag
Thank you
U need a chip to solder to the board
That will actually make more noise than a Xbox 360 at 80ºC because the 360 Slim fan barely speeds up when the console is hot

Hola, una consulta. ¿El aire del cooler va hacia dentro o hacía fuera?
Tienes que poner el ventilador externo que saque aire osea que vaya hacia afuera para que el aire caliente lo expulse
