I can confidently say this is the best band most of the audience has seen. And that mello line- jesus theres more to them than i thought. I hope they can actually perform their show one last time on field.
I’m a Reagan HS band parent. I also occasionally enjoy listening to heavy, heavy metal. I’m at a point now though where I’m listening to something and I say “yeah, but this isn’t Hebron-heavy.” I can’t come up with high enough praises. There are not many nights at the dinner table we aren’t talking about Hebron. This year, this music, this group of kids…. Just so much excellence. I sorely missed them at Grand Nationals; they would’ve scorched the entire stadium. I will never forget seeing them sweep UIL State- and upon band dismissal seeing every other band converge upon Hebron to congratulate them. THAT is the power of this activity, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed it. If anyone from the Hebron band, staff, parents, etc. reads this, just know that all you have done and all you do is powerful. Other schools and musicians of all ages look up to you, and hope that this year has fulfilled all it deserved for you. Very excited for the years to come. Safe travels back home!
99% of trumpet players in their COLLEGE career will never hit a high G let alone high school, and somebody in that trumpet section is absolutely killing it!!!!!!!!
Not taking any credit away from them but that statement is not true at all. Most college players and top level high school players can hit a high G. Still extremely impressive to have that talent as a highschooler.
@@Matoyanks That's false, I don't know what college or highschool you went to but from where I'm from I only know of 1 other person who can hit a high g at my college.
@@jncrook5409 Yeah he's pretty good, but at my high school everyone in the top two bands could hit a G. And at my college, everyone in the school of music, along with most of the people just in marching band could.
I live in California- can say this is was an excellent performance. I think Hebron and the Air Force Band were the best. Really enjoyed the Church Windows / Respighi tribute at the beginning too. Not only is the band great, but the musical score was excellent. Material was spot on as well as the band itself. Congratulations!
What a great band to say the least. This group was on a much higher plane than the other groups for sure. I mean, they were playing more difficult music at a level higher than the college bands I saw at this event. A testimonial to the dedication of the staff and students at this school. You are to be commended and congratulated on such a fine program. You have gained a new fan. 😊
I wish we could’ve done a stand still performance for this. We had to do everything for ours, which was freezing. The Rose Parade was an amazing experience!
Either they were a bit flat sometimes here, sharp at finals, or my ears are playing games with me. Audio quality and the field definitely plays a role, but this still sounds absolutely amazing.
Kyoto Tachibana, world's most talented HS marching in the world, will be back in 2025 to make the US Rose Parade great again🥳🎉ruclips.net/video/9VOy-oQOcvA/видео.htmlsi=mCTjjq5fwe32A75M
I know they didn’t want to bring their front ensemble instruments out but they still could have done their full show. Instead they just stood in place and played their music. Other groups like TSU still performed their whole show in the pouring rain. The band sounds phenomenal, just wish they could have went all out considering that they’re at the Rose Parade.
From a different perspective, I’d rather them enjoy a fraction of the experience for themselves. I have to believe the director’s judgement factored-more in than we’re capable of knowing. That aside, I think they’ve been through (and contributed) more than enough.
@@MiraDaWulf Exactly. Their drill for this season makes me think of the word ‘firestorm,’ but that was seeing them indoors. With rain, it’d be a different kind of storm… 😂
I can assure you they went all out. They spent significant $ and volunteer time to bring all that was needed to put on the full show. No one was more disappointed than the many people that worked tirelessly to make this possible, but the disappointment was in the conditions, not the decision or those that made it because this band is all in all the time, including at this amazingly drenched bandfest afternoon (and it looked/sounded pretty amazing to lots of us).
These kids worked incredibly hard to get to where they were at this point in time. As a former band kid, there is nothing in the world more disappointing than not being able to put on the full show, because you want to showcase what you've been working on for months on end, five, usually six days a week.I don't really think it's fair to throw that kind of negative attitude towards a bunch of high school kids. Don't forget, they're from Dallas-Fort.Worth, the directors, school, and community put forth a lot of time, effort, and most importantly money to be able to get them and all their props, instruments, uniforms, and equipment to Cali. Not to mention, this band swept the 6A UIL State championship. Probably one of the hardest contests for bands in the country, and it shows.

Crazy how they sound way different here than when marching on the field, but are still a powerhouse

Hebron parent here - thanks so much for the accolades. And congrats to Reagan for an outstanding year. My daughter (in the band) enjoyed your show.
❤️😭❤️😭 I’m taking a screenshot of your comment and putting it in the Hebron Chaperone and Parent Section chats. Thank you!!! 🙏

theyre in ponchos and still sound amazing!!! they look so cute in all their little ponchos
That woodwind feature at 1:06 was nice. As a tenor sax player/ bari I’m impressed
i finally saw who it was saying DUT DUT DUT DUT everytime
Yknow he’s the snare cam right?
Always loved the drumline absolutely feeling it during the end of the show. Keep blowing minds Hebron!

They seemed a bit overexcited in their tone and in their releases/attacks. On finals they were on point
At moments, articulation was a bit messy/not together
@Evanw10282 I think they were a bit over excited lmao as well as rain, but their Texas state finals were absolutely nails it was quite an experience.
no one talking about the saxophone thats on the ground.

Rain performances are the best…poor drums having to stay and change heads 😅

Considering their drill, i dont think they'd survive 5 minutes of their show in pouring rain on turf
