Thank you! Even Ubiquiti Support couldn't figure out that mesh support was disabled. I thought the Beacon was DOA. Your video helped me find the setting to enable and successfully adopt the BeaconHD. Thank you!

Hi Damon, thanks for commenting. It will also work in a regular Unifi SDN and link up to other Unifi APs, doesn’t have to be a UDM Pro. It won’t link up with a third party AP. Have a great day.
Hi Sebastijan, thanks for commenting. I haven’t tried what you’re asking. I’m assuming it would work seeing as 1 wired AP can support up to I believe 4 wireless uplinks. Seeing as the Beacon HD is a mesh point, it should work. However, I wouldn’t recommend doing this as performance & speeds will be degraded considerably. For more detailed info about wireless uplinks and how they work, here a link. Have a good day and thanks for tuning in. help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002262328-UniFi-Configuring-a-Wireless-Uplink
@@QuikTechSolutions Yes it does, my wife loves the LED light as well. Which does double as a cool nightlight with you can set the color in the settings.

So it only works with the Dream Machine and not and AP running off the UDM Pro?

How would this work if i have 1 wired uAP HD in the middle of the house and 3 of these? Would 1AP HD be a limitation.

Great over view of the beaconHD Tony. My wife loves this AP it extends the network and acts as a night light in the hall!
Thanks Cody! I appreciate your feedback. Glad your wife likes it as well. I guess with the perimeter light, it would serve as a decent night light. :)
