    i am not a tech guy. i just replaced to a DMpro all was working fine before install...i do have one 16 switch with POE in the same room as the DMp and works fine....i also have 2 other 8 lite switches in two different areas of the property that are not turning. both 8 lites switch are still hooked up to cameras, Wifi access , and antennas..... Do I need to remove ALL hookups to adapt the each 8 lite switches

    Do you really need the switch? Can it be connected directly to the dream machine?

      The UDM Pro's switch is a 1Gbe backplane, plus no POE. Running it in his configuration is ideal, and even more ideal if he did SFP from UDM Pro to the Switch 8.
      The little "dummy" 8 port is really only good for some IOT hubs/devices. (ie sonos, smart things, etc)
