Apologies if i am wrong but i think this soundbar has 9 drivers ( you mentioned 7 ) , the bose 700 had 7 drivers. bose 700 = 5 in the front ( including the tweeter ) + 2 for their phase guide technology. Bose 900 = 5 in the front ( including the tweeter ) + 2 for their phase guide technology + 2 upfiring speakers = 9. Best wishes and regards.
@sahil marwah. According to Bose this has a total of 7 actual drivers built in, including the two height effect drivers on the top. They don't count the phase guide technology as a driver, technically. But if you include those, yes, you could say there are 9. Thanks for watching!
I'd say if you have a new Sony TV, get the A7000 cause they integrate really well with Sony TV's. They have that screen sync feature where you can use your Sony TV as a center channel. I'm getting the A7000 to go with the A90J TV. If I didn't have a Sony TV, I'd be getting either the Bose 900 or the Sonos Arc.
Never buy Bose 900 as a standalone... Must buy with atleast satellite speakers!!! These two together is the best of the best... The movie or music never gets louder or fatigue.... The entire system is very pleasant even at higher volume
Will the Soundbar universal remote work with soundbar 900. At present it is compatible with soundbar 700 rather comes with it. Will it get an update so it works with 900 too
I just got the soundbar, when when i play music through my phone, each time i leave the music app (spotify), the music stops playing and it i go back to the app it plays again. Do you know how to get rid of this setting?

I have checked with Bose customer care on web chat and they confirmed that soundbar 900 is definitely compatible with sound touch 300 subwoofer!. Planning to just get Soundbar 900 to sync with my acoustimass from ST300 series
@VVID Gunner The 900 can play back Atmos audio so it's capable of giving you more immersive sound. That being said, if you're happy with the 700, it's probably not worth upgrading yet. I own samsung atmos and 700 imho, Samsung 950 has better movie quality and the rear speakers also shoot upwards. I use bose 700 in my bedroom with sub and rears which has better music quality. I wonder if the 900 would work with bose TV mount as the upward speakers will be left inside the mount and also if they will make a upward shooting rear speaker

Very silly question, can you pair the Bose Soundbar 900 with another active subwoofer? the soundbar has a 3.5 mm jack for a wired connection of a bass module so in theory, that would work? I absolutely love my active subwoofer and it still works perfectly fine, there's just no point for me to purchase a new one... Has anybody tried that out? I've seen contradicting answers on forums. It most likely won't work. While I don't have the Soundbar 900, I have the older Soundtouch 300 which is almost identical with the Soundbar 700. The sub out for the Bose while looking like a regular 3.5mm plug does not work with an active Subwoofer I have. I tested before purchasing the Bass Module. With the compatible Sub - 500 or 700 you don't have to use a cable

What is the benefit of plugging in the ethernet cable to it. I was watching a movie and the soundbar just shut off in middle of the movie. Was this due to the wifi?

Excellent review, I hope soon you can make a review about this soundbar vs LG 9.1 Soundbar and test the Dolby Atmos sound, I know LG soundbar came with surround wireless speakers already but also Bose soundbar 900 can add wireless surround speakers, I wonder which one is better. I hope you or someone already test this two excellent soundbars.

I've seen a lot of reviews online of angry customers regarding connectivity issues, Bose Music App randomly dropping and having to disconnect and reconnect hard wires. Has anybody here came across any of these issues with their Bose Smart Soundbar's?
They are not going to ad DTS on the firmware updates. The 500 and 700 series just 5.1 up to 7.1 channel. Not DTS support. But they have the Room calibration tho.

There’s no hdmi switch. This sound bar wastes an hdmi 2.1 port on my tv. No thank you. Also no dts support means it won’t play back the best audio properly off even fullhd blu ray. Is this even a top of the range product? Go with Sony HT-A7000
Oh no. It cant play the bluray sounds. Well I have been watching this, the sonos arc which is supposedly getting support for bluray dts and the sony ha9 which can also. Well darn I like Bose but I have some bluray collection. I wonder if the Bose will still sound good with Blurays using that feature that converts to Atnos?
Wanted to buy this but won't because of the glass. Almost everyone puts the soundbar below their TV and having glass reflect what's on the screen ruins it. Dumb... should have kept it solid black.
If you use the Bose soundbar mount kit, it fits perfectly under the 900 for a "hidden", floating look. The underside has two sticky, rubber pads that peel off to reveal the slots the brackets line up with. You can then put a set-screw in to hold the soundbar to the bracket. I have not seen any pictures of the underside but that is what I saw when I mounted mine a few weeks ago.
@@michaelhinchey It does look very neat - you can't see the bracket at all and it "floats" between a console and the TV. I had to adjust the height of the TV to allow more space for the up-firing speakers or the TV bottom edge blocks some of the field.
@@alapchoudhari6745 Bose recommends at least 4 inches (10 cm). I have about that but it still looks too close although angle-wise, it clears the TV for ceiling bounce. I had better sound when the soundbar was on the console beneath but it did not look as nice.

I don't think these will work with the Soundtouch series. This is a complete new series line with new software as well.
I was hoping it will work as subwoofer and surrounding speakers look exactly like from 700 series. I will also try to contact Boss customers support.

You should be able to pair the soundbar with the Bose base module 500 or the 700

The bose 300, 700 and 900 are already better than the LG 9.1 - it has bad highs in my opinion which is a decrease of entertainment.

The reviewers are forgetting to review the awful built-in Amazon Alexa Half Braindead skills on a soundbar 900

HDMI earc is also there in SB 700, that’s not a difference
