I miss England so much , my home for 6 years. Feels refreshing to watch your vlog Mr. Carrington. I was a viewer since pandemic . I love visiting other towns and just checking out their charity shops . Makes me cry . Good fun memories indeed ❤
I was hoping you would buy that shirt and tin, i loved both. I bought a black and white shirt today too, such a bargain from John Lewis wow... i think there's nothing more flattering than black and white patterns 🤩🥰
Thankyou for the trip out to hastings and st Leonards lots of antique shops and thrift shops,so nice to see you and luke enjoying a day at the seaside😊
Loved this! My family and I moved to Hastings from Shetland-Scotland, 14 years ago, and I just love it!! The charity shops are great...and all the antique shops!! We bought a victorian house here...close to the Old Town...and it's furnished mostly from 2nd hand or antique shops!!! 😊😊😊😊
Sounds lovely! We planned to do the same. Found a lovely old house, near the old part, of town but the sale fell through, and then we found that we had to change our plans anyway. Really wished sometimes it had worked out!
@@nelliemelba4967 what a shame! We moved here and lived in a caravan for 8 weeks while we bought our house...I don't know what we would've done if the sale had fallen through!! 😮 Haven't regretted moving here for a second! Hope things worked out for you! 🙂
11:58 Andrew Lloyd-Webber??🤭 Can I just say how much I appreciate you taking us with you on days out, Hastings and St. Leonards look fab, I love to see independent shops and some brilliant antique and charity shops there too. Thanks Mr C.😘
Aww you started from my hometown Eastbourne… Hastings old town is lovely especially George Street .. unfortunately the vehicular has been out of commission for some time now 😢 but good they are repairing it Did you see the huge thin black beach huts? I have never been to the castle The beautiful houses are flint houses gorgeous aren’t they 😍. Really enjoy the day trip out with you and Luke xx🌸💕🌸xxx
My husband and I stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast in Hastings Old Town for a couple of nights last week, and had drinks in the same cafe/library as you did! We also visited the castle ruins, but took the funicular railway up to it: there are 2 of them, and only one is out of action. The Old Town is lovely, and we usually visit for the day once or twice a year, driving from Essex, but it was a special birthday for me, so we treated ourselves this time. While we were at the castle, it was hot and sunny, but as we left the rain started and became torrential for a while; when it finished we watched the shop keeper emptying all those tea cups on the rods!
Thank you for taking us on a day out to Hastings & Saint Leonards the pebble houses are nearly as nice as the Norfolk Flint stone buildings in my home county of Norfolk Lord Nelsons County there are charity shops here but not nearly as good as the ones you find ( or maybe I don’t find them 🤪 ) Glad you had a good day 👍
Thanks Mr C what a lovely day out with you both. Like you say great charity shops. May take a trip there my self. I think many years back I may have been 😊😊
I enjoyed your daytrip to two historical seaside towns ❤ And to find some charity shops in your travels....bonus!! I knew as soon as you spotted that black and white shirt that it was going to be yours 😆 Nice to see Luke too - he did a great job planning your itinerary 😊
Hi lwan! I don't know how l was able to miss this video. It's labeled as being from 2 week ago. I'm so glad that it finally arrived on my phone! What a great time with Luke in Hastings! Loved all of the shops especially, the Coco Chocolate shop. I would have left with a bag full of the different flavored Chocolate bars. The visit to the Seaside was great! The sound of the waves is so soothing. You pizza lunch looked super delicious! Not so sure about Luke's choice. It looked like a salad more than a pizza! LOL 😆 Happy to see you take some time off to relax and travel with Luke. You are such good friends!! I hope that I haven't missed any other of your wonderful videos! Looking forward to seeing you Soon! Your friend in Kansas City Tom 😃♥️🌈🍀🎉♥️🌈🍀🎉🇺🇸

Thank you for a trip round Hastings and St Leonard’s. Looked lovely sitting by the sea; there’s nothing quite like a breath of sea air! All those antique and charity shops- good job they closed, or you’d still be there! I always enjoy your outingdps with Luke- and a quick glimpse of Pumpkin!
What an interesting area, Mr C. Quaint streets with loads of nice shops - and I was sure you would get that white patterned shirt! You would sleep well after all that fresh air....

Love everything you do and your manner is so gentle. Don’t understand the candle in a solid ceramic pot though. You can’t see it once it burns low so I’d use that pot Luke looked at for other things….kitchen storage maybe. Thank you gents.
Did the voice in the train say, see it, say it, sort it? Does that refer to illegal activity? I love the ruins! And the old church was gorgeous! What a wonderful area! I love when you take us on a little adventure. Thank you from steaming, scorching Houston, Tx.❤
Oh lovely vlog. I had to laugh - I loved the This is My Happy Place sign - I got a lovely metal one for a £1 in the place where everything used to be a pound!
I love the new shirt that you are wearing, looks great. I knew that you would get the shirt and what a find it was. I enjoyed journeying with Luke and Yourself ♥️ You are Both a hoot
I agree, Mr.C. I love the sound of waves, too. Good finds, I wrongly guessed that you would pick up that Emma Bridgewater tin for Kate McCabe. It had her name written all over it.
Hi mr c ,what a lovely vlog ,Hastings is such an interesting place ..I think they did a t.v .series there called foyles war in Hastings ?.thank you for this trip with you and Luke ,and the sneak peek of pumpkin ❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
Hi Iwan, well a trip down memory lane for me. I used to go to Hastings a lot as a young teenager and later on after I was married with Children visiting an elderly aunt and uncle of my husband too! It must be 20 odd years since I was there last! Looked like a lovely day out and it was a lovely mid week treat to find your Vlog, big thank you x
Dear Mr Carrington, I love your video’s they are always very interesting , full of different things. I don’t go out so it was nice of you to take me on you and Luke’s trip. Take care love from Franx
I am originally from Bexhill-on-Sea (next town on from St Leonards) but have lived "oop north" for 13 years. I know Hastings extremely well, so it was lovely to see you both enjoying what this interesting town has to offer. There is a famous pie and mash shop/cafe on the seafront, also very good fish and chip shop, both of which I miss! I used to love popping into the charity shops, they look as good as ever, and I liked your bargains from the day! Lovely video, made feel very nostalgic! 😊
Lovely video! Very gentle, I was born in St Leonard’s hospital, and visited about three or four years ago now with my Mum and Dad, lovely day out! Your videos are lovely! Thankyou
What a fun video. I enjoy seeing different parts of your beautiful Country and I’m taking notes for my bucket list. The food looked delicious, and the shipping, great finds. Thank you so much 💦

Hope you looked out for the tall black fishing net huts...they are awesome.

Hi mr C thank you for this video it bought back some fantastic memories, I lost my husband in jan 21 and hastings was our place to go from our home in Greenwich just for a spot of lunch he used to love the old bookshop on the corner, I am trying to summon up the courage to revisit our special places and once again thank you ❤ xx
I love Hastings. I used to go lot. The seagulls though, are the size of dogs, and they'll mug you for your chips! The old town is lovely, and it's seems to have some very smart shops now. Glad you visited St Leonard's, it's not had the best of reputations over the years but it looks like it's come up quite a bit! Cheers, both of you!
Really enjoyed this vlog. Looking forward to going back to my hometown later this month- I’ll definitely be going to the charity shops in St Leonards. I kept an eye out in case my parents were in the background of your vlog 😂 I would have snapped up the Emma Bridgewater tin too- I’ve been looking for that one! Where the shopping centre is used to be a cricket ground with a small parade of shops in front of it. I remember them building the shopping centre. Did you see the cricketer statue in the middle of the shopping centre- there is a statue of a ball hidden there too- you have to guess where he “hit” it 😊
Hi Iwan , I laughed when you said you like the sound of the sea coming in because on a holiday yrs ago with my mum and auntie Jean they both snored so I ended up sleeping out on the balcony and that’s the noise I fell asleep to it was so soothing & relaxing ,just thought I would share that with you huni ,hugs Katie 😁💛😊
Loved this vlog today !! Hope you are both very well. Dream day out. It’s many years since I lived in the UK so I am not familiar with the split trains!! Love the tin
