I’m in Texas where we’re in summer heat - 100 degrees Fahrenheit- for the next 3 months. Nothing is more refreshing than a hot cup of Earl Grey tea! Enjoy your summer.

You can’t beat a cup of hot tea in this weather! x
It's easy to make your own ice coffee. Boil kettle, put half inch hot water in mug. Teaspoon of instant coffee in, stir, add cold milk and crushed ice or a couple of ice cubes. Make it more luxurious by putting a small scoop of coffee flavour ice cream or vanilla ice cream. Simples. Save money and probably taste much better.
Iwan your stool is fab! Love the bird print in the bathroom too. The tiles are lovely .
I recently went to a celebration of life with my son for a man that was my oldest, dearest and first friend when I arrived in California over 50yrs ago. It was a very hot day, a almost 400 mile round trip drive so yes we did stop on the way home for iced coff for him and a venti hot earl grey tea for me. Cool and a much needed energy boost.

Mr Carrington It is Monday night and I am out watering my garden, whilst watching your latest vlog. I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and I have one particular robin that sits at the highest point of my house squawking away while I try to read, watch you, or just enjoy the beautiful weather. Like I said I was watching you and when you were at the station, all I could hear was a robin squawking. I looked all over my yard for him until I realized he was with you. I just laughed. Loved the little table you made at the end.

Love all your videos they are so interesting . I’m not surprised London is that hot . All the buildings make the temperature high, it’s hard for air to circulate. Makes me smile when you show us what you are going to eat , makes me peckish .

my mum used to swear by a cup of tea in the heat (but i am from yorkshire so it is the answer to everything around here lol) love the upcycle and the tiles. the old rug was a good bargain at the bootsale to looks good quality

It's been roasting up here in North Norfolk. I have a small sun trap of a garden and the temperature reached 37°..phew, too much for me. Yesterday was cooler and during the night it rained . I watered my pots too...grrrr. Never mind i'm sure they loved the rain. Have a great week. 😊
We here in the NE of the US are dealing with the dangerous smokey air conditions due to the raging wild fires in and around Quebec, Canada. The mornings have been very cool, while later in the day there’s a hazy film throughout the sky. Most folks have been inside due to the poor air quality. Two weeks ago, NYC and Philadelphia had the worse smoggy induced air in the past 50 years.
I feel sorry for all those poor animals that are dying or losing their habitat

While watching this on Wednesday, 6/21 in Florida it's 78 degrees Fahrenheit and very humid. We're in our rainy season and expecting rain anytime now. 😊

What a great video. I really enjoyed it. Car boot saleing, the haul, all your great finds, the sunglasses, the train ride, the lavish suntan spray on. 😂 I needed some of that today. It was cooking over here in N Germany. We went to the beach today. Everyone was out in full force. Geez, the traffic was hectic. It was too crowded for me, but so nice to be outside. The winters here are terrible.

The saucer I spotted was not green but yellow and grey - geometric pattern. The other item was a large white enamel bowl. I love your up-cycle and all the items you bought, the frame is an absolute bargain! Also the pillowcases and Birkenstocks. I have a pair I bought in Hanover, they are black patent and the soles are shocking pink. They are much better for your feet than imitation ones. I spotted a book ‘The Sister’ but couldn’t tell if it was a Dung Beetle one or a Ladybird rip-off…bye for now

30°? That's nothing. It's 99F/37C here in Houston, Tx., with a "feels like" temp. of 109F/42C. It's awful!!! And, it's only going to get hotter.🥵 I love your diy stool! I would call it a tiny table.I always love seeing the kitties. Hi to them from our kitty, Holly.😊
I recently bought a new navy blue down filled and quilted Calvin Klein jacket in my size for ten pounds and a new M&S cashmere for the same price in a local charity shop, very pleased.

Only found your video,s recently when you where with the Irish girl for Chelsea flower show just love watching her videos .
So looked you up and Thank you and enjoying your video,s .Had the best 4 weeks .I am in South East South Australia . It,s winter won't stop raining lots of thunder storms and lightning .Having too open 2 sets of double gates on the farm and not stand in cow shit .. my hair blew,across my face as I pushed the gate back yep in cow shit under my left best boots . Rest up of my time has been good . I used too live in Western Australia and now live 10 minutes from eldest daughter her hubby too 2 teenage grandchildren .My Son and daughter and that daughter,s eldest 20 came over to us 20th May for 7 days was the best . Had a rest than 4 days away in my toyota 7 seater van ,it's got the seats out and I made into a camper . Well finally got the holiday and the destination I wanted for 18mths .Could leave the garden as was getting rained on .Went into Victoria too a,town called Daylesford a very old town lots cafe,s lovely shops nursery...big Mill Market v which has stall holders was great .Was looking forward too visting it again . Left the Friday..Sat and Sunday the sun came out . Than Monday back home called in too my boyfriend's for a cuppa than home 35 mins away. Over last 2 weeks he,s,cooked me dinner twice and being a Friday we sit and watch the Friday gardening show together .Oh and I have been in a couple of opshops too. You might get a couple of copies of this internet drops out here.

Yes it’s terrible weather I hate this hot weather in Liverpool. It was disgusting and I work at Travelodge as a housekeeper and you can imagine bed sweating buckets it’s raining now in Liverpool so I’m glad hopefully we get cooler weather hayfever is killing me like the rug that’s a good idea. Hi Iwan, thank you for your video. I can see how hot it is in the UK. In Cape Town we are having flooding and heavy rain. I love my Birkinstocks. Beautiful tie. In NE Texas it has been dangerously hot. Heat index hovering around 110°-- the "feels like" temperature. The humidity has been very high. We handle it with air conditioning. I think your window sash trick is a good one. Stay cool and hydrated. I love your bench and that rug you found!
That was a nice mixture of stuff this week, and thank you. The little stool/table you made was lovely and for free too! my fave price of all!! Weather here in Somerset reached 29 one day this week and it has been pretty intense at times. Getting over Covid so quite lethargic anyway, so practically in stop mode most days! Be good to get things back to normal asap I hope. Loved all your bargs, especially those silk pillow cases, I bet they will be nice and cool in this weather. Lovely seeing the cats growing up .. our two love inspecting all i haul back home , as well 😻Home Bargains have some great pet items i bought recently .... a drinking water barrel , and pet cooling mat and both very reasonably priced 😍🐱💕 It's been very hot here in Wales, been sitting out in the garden admiring all the Poundland wildflowers 💮 they've sprung up nicely .

After I get a rug like that, I kind of sure of some of the rug or piece coming apart with thread and needle, it helps it last longer.
The vintage rug. In my experience it is better to weave the threads (with a large needle) into the back of the carpet. If you cut off the threads over time the unravelling will continue.

Yesterday we had a really sunny and hot weather here in Barcelona, but today it's very cloudy. I was going to go and visit my son who lives two hours away by car, but I'm not feeling to well 🤒, so I'm just going to have a lazy Sunday at home and maybe plant out a couple of plants into new pots.

Lidl sunscreen usually comes out really well when ‘Which?’ do their comparison tests. Some of the really expensive ones are no better or actually worse.
Inspirational .... Gave me a nudge to finish off various projects which I have started and then left in limbo ! Love Rust Oleum products, which links to one of said projects (!) and loving the background weave of the Fired Earth tiles, as I do some weaving myself and you have channelled some of your energy to progress with this work ! Love the bathroom stool that you made that cost you nothing except a little time to put together. It is 90°F here today but outside in the sun it feels like it’s 105°. I don’t know why people in England are so against air conditioning. I mean truthfully how nice would it be if you just had even a small window air conditioner that you could put in and take out for summer. I would have a heat stroke in the state of Florida if I didn’t have air-conditioning, I swear! Do any of you living there even use a standing fan that you just plug into the wall and can at least sit in front of it and stay a little bit cooler? Nice rug from the car boot sale. Absolutely love the rug! I’ve seen them used as bath mats as you say but I think you can buy actual bath mats that look like that, not sure where though as I’d like one!
