when you purchased the part from OEM Honda Parts, did you have to buy an extra installation kit and did the steering wheel you purchase come with the heated steering wheel button on it?
Great video! Was thinking about doing this myself. After watching your video I think it may be a little above the effort I wanted to put in. Was hoping it was more of a “swap it out” method, but I saw you had to dismantle the entertainment system and the driver infotainment which seems dizzying. Great video though!
@@tenzabuilds6290 And with that being said they sell screen protectors for the displays themselves, just got this car for my gf and that’s the first thing i got her😁
I’ve been trying to find how to do this on my 2020 Honda civic but no one’s had a video. That being said this steering wheel is identical to the one in my civic. I’m thinking maybe a lot of the electrical components are shared between this model and the civic since the button laid out and everything is identical. Can anybody confirm this?
Hi, would you upload the part numbers and installation guide? or if you could share it if possible.
Where can i find the instructions?
My 2018 touring model came with everything already from the factory!
would doing this on a hybrid be the same process battery wise? disconnect the negative post and proceed.
Yes! Same process
Would you mind sharing the part number? and the installation manual?

It’s really not that hard. The instructions are very easy to follow. Don’t scratch the display is the most important thing. Easy!

How did you complete step 68 “Connect I-HDS and Clear DTcs.
That’s normally a factory body module reset. But all my error lights went away as soon as I drove it
Can this be done for HRV?
As long as the HRV has a heated steering wheel option. Should be able to buy oem parts and install them.

Great video. I don't think you mentioned how long it actually took you to do the install. How many hours did it take?
With recording and a dinner break, it was around 3 hours.
@@tenzabuilds6290 Thanks!
Does it work for the crv 2017 touring?
As long as the dash and wiring are the same, yes
Great add. Heated steering wheel is the best!
Agreed!
