- Kasey Kahne, one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers, says it would be great to race a stock car again and that his body is in better shape than it was in 2018 when he stepped away from the sport. Frontstretch's Dalton Hopkins caught up with him.
NOTE: There are some audio issues in the second half of the interview, we apologize for any confusion.

Big fan of Kasey. I hope he comes back...He looks like a kid but he is 43.
Yeah all these drivers aged very well.
Kasey doesn't look older than 23, always liked him as a driver
Yes your right doesn't look like 43 at all
He races world of outlaws Sprint cars full time thats over 80 races a year
Kasey Kaine is always a Class Act, great to see him and so many others from earlier years 🙏🏼
One of the nicest people you could ever run across. They always say don’t meet your heroes, you’ll be disappointed. He didn’t disappoint at all. Took the time to take a picture with my son and genuinely made our day.
Would be cool to see him maybe do a few races a year
He races world of outlaws full time, thats over 80 races a year
We NEED these guys back. ♥️♥️ NASCAR sorely needs them back. Kasey. Newman. Kenneth. Edwards. A LOT of them.👍😁♥️
It would be nice to see him in SRX if his sehedule would allow and if they'd invite him.
He races world of outlaws full time thats sprint car racing great racing check it out tons of great tracks in Ohio including the mecca eldora
And don't forget Jimmy Spencer
Loved when Kasey was at HMS. He was really competitive and thought he might win more than he did. #thankyoukaseykahne
I think he would have won a lot more if it weren't for that terrible dehydration issue he constantly fought in the car.
Cheered for Kasey also. But 2 things plagued him his entire career. He struggled on Restarts-which were never addressed-AND his Crew Chiefs were absolute Idiots when it came down to Fuel and Pit Strategy😐
@@opusliveson agreed
Way to rock it Kasey. Nice to see you hanging out! Keep rooting for #5:)!!!!!!!!
I've been a motorsports fan for a long time. Way before KK was a blip on the NASCAR radar. He was my favorite driver to follow in NASCAR. Miss you bro!
He race world of outlaws sprint cars full time, over 80 races a year. Check it out its awesome racing
I don't see him going full time Cup racing again but it would be awesome to see him run Xfinity
Put him in Trucks. His worst finish there is 2nd in 6 starts.
@@noahcoleman5556 has also has the best avg finish ratio in the truck series cause of that also
@@Tylerracingfan59 oh wow I knew Kasey had a lot of success in trucks but that's a huge stat.
@@Tylerracingfan59 Nah dude was good in Arca and Xfinity so there was no reason to stay racing trucks, especially back then.
@@aRedFrog all I said was he has the best avg finish in truck history not he should go back to that
Casey and Carl are a couple super 43 year olds that can get it done at any Track.
So now both Casey Mears and Kasey Kahne are interested in returning...let's hope they do!
I saw him race in WoO 2yrs ago at Port Royal. He's not bad. He saved a random stranger's life after that race I saw him on the hwy. He's a great driver on and off helps others out.
Need Kasey Kaine and Carl Edwards race the SRX Series with Tony Stewart.
Kahne is racing the SRX august 4th
He races in world of outlaws full time
No doubt in my mind that if he could have stayed at Red Bull and they would have commited longer he could have hoisted a championship. You look at 2011 chase and they were killing it.
That dude doesn’t seem to age.
Kasey Kahne left NASCAR for some health issues. Since then his Kasey Kahne Racing team has won 5 World of Outlaw sprint championships. Plus he regularly drove one of the two team cars. For all you NASCAR fans, there's a whole nother racing world besides NASCAR.
Kasey belongs on dirt though lol. Always loved watching him when i was little, come to Lincoln in PA and race with our locals in his own #23K car. Fun times back then watchin him.
He should have way more wins then he does
Come back please kasey you got more to accomplish. Would be awesome to see you win a championship. ❤
I liked the fact that K. Kahne did not linger about after he left the sport. The world does NOT need another Jeffy Burton.
Jeffy is way better in the booth than danika
@@therealnynetynyne360 A robot would be better than Dan--icka.
He races in world of outlaws full time
Always loved Kasey !!
Please come back! We miss you!
They should run a non points race of retired drivers who are willing to race each other one last time just for the drivers and fans to have fun with their favorite retired drivers one last time
They do it's called SRX racing.
@@nojunkwork5735 I know I meant in nascar though, with the success of the srx I don't see why nascar shouldn't do it
He runs world of outlaws full time hes not retired
Kasey Khane for Project 91!!!
We were big fans of his nascar career. We were shocked when he left for health reasons. I think I have all of his diecast cars and most of them are autographed lol. He’s a class act and we hope he’s happy racing how and when he wants to enjoy the sport. If he comes back to nascar great…if not. That’s fine too.
We love and miss you very much Casey
Hope he would reunite with Evernham allianced Hendrick team in one day as a part-time driver in the 25, 79 or 90.
He won't come back. He left abruptly because of health issues. The high heat inside those cars made him extremely sick by the end of each race.
Id love to see Kahne in some Xfinity and Trucks on a limited schedule. It would be really cool if he could buy into a team and be a owner
What causes him retire is it heat issues
I heard he had trouble staying hydrated, which is ironic considering how many beverage brands he's had as a primary sponsor throughout his career.
he's kinda like Mark Martin and Harry Gant, you might not be a specific fan but are never disappointed to see them win, wonderful ambassador's of the sport, good to see him
I met Kasey in Terre Haute at a WoO event back when he was still in the Busch car. Super nice guy.
Such a great dude
Let's Go Kasey!
Positive feedback he is a great racer.
My favorite driver (at the time) would love to see him race again!! Would love to see him try Indy cars or F1.
He runs world of outlaws full time
I would definitely love to see a few of our greats of the early 2000s era run a throwback race with their original schemes that would be awesome
We need a senior tour league
Absolutely!!!
He runs world of outlaws full time hes in his 40s not senior or retired
@@larryyost Gezz dude. It's like in golf. Senior tour dont mean there all 60s. I'm well aware Kane isnt a senior. I'm talking about older dudes that can still drive but cant get a ride because there not 20.
Gosh I miss that man
I am surprised he has not received an offer - maybe from SHR. Apparently he was offered the 14 car for 2019 but had to turn it down for health reasons so stands to reason Tony would give him a chance. Tony has always believed in his abilities.
Can’t wait to see him in a Rick Ware car
A full season running for KBM in the truck series 2024 , guess he could compete for championship.
Hell yeah sounds good to him! His body detox from all the carbon monoxide he ingested threw breathing
He really struggled his last few years compared to what he once was. I know part of the issue was he had some time in a back marker, but he really struggled outside of that. Wish he could've left on a better note.
He also got hurt and really never made a recovery
Yeah, after moving to Hendrick he never did what people probably thought he'd do in such equipment
@@szymonkunda2197 also tbf Mark Martin was the only person after Terry Labonte and now Kyle Larson to ever make that 5 car work. Ppl forget it was the step child
Wasn't he getting really physically sick just sitting in the cars? Like serious anxiety issues, and the heat in the cars was really getting to him. I was a fan of his, especially when he was driving Dodges.
@@budlanctot3060 Yeah over heating and heat exhaustion
Khane should run Xfinity he might be competitive and the car would be similar to when he was driving
Yesssssssss
What about Mayfield?
yeah what about him.. hes trying to figure out what to do with hot copper
Dalton needs to do something about the Audio! Two Video's today, the audio cut out. I would have liked to hear all that was said....
Dam one thing for sure is if he did come back, he would fit right in with the young drivers because he doesn't look a day older than these young guys.
Get this guy in a Truck or Xfinity car right now!!
I remember Kasey At Skagit Speedway winning in a 410 Sprint car when he was 14 years old
Not a bombshell....! We need more Kaseys and Carls!!
Id love to see him run the 8 car for JRM after Berry leaves
Love the videos audio was a kinda horrible
Kasey should comeback and run some races at dirt tracks
Huh? He is literally a full time World of Outlaws driver…
@@TheRaudmanRundown are you the actual raudman guy?
Audio adjustment 🤨🤨🤨
Kasey, so glad to see you! We've missed you 😄😄you look great! Grab a car and let's go racing ❤️❤️😄😄
Who isn’t in the TOP 75 driver’s?
#76 and up
Do you know how many guys have hundreds of starts and no wins or only a handful

Kasey come back.
He runs world of outlaws full time more exciting to watch than nascar
A great talent who wasted a lot of good years in bad equipment.
How did Kahne make the list?
Better Micr migh lp
Come Race Kasey
Hear me out here... Get Kasey, Carl, and Kurt Busch to split the season (next year) in the 67 for 23XI. Those are the three names that are coming up the most about a limited schedule right now. Maybe throw Biffle and Kenseth in the mix too (even Newman, get him out of that garbage RWR ride). Would be cool to see. The reason I am saying the 67 for 23XI is that is basically Busch's ride if he is able and wants to run some races. I think they could sell some sponsorship on all these fairly recently retired drivers.
An imca stockcar
please bring him back
Nascar needs to fund their own car in the field in some CUP races and a driver like Kane, Edwards or any other physically abled driver that wants to race again fill the seat for that particular race and then a different driver would take the seat next time.
With that quote. SRX 2024
Who's pushing the glitch button near the end of vid very frustrating.
Bombshell? SMH! …I don’t think so!
Congratulations Kasey miss him would be nice to see him race in the northeast but might be to far from home( if he still lives in north west)
He runs world of outlaws full time they go to weedsport in new York and all over PA
Well hopefully one day they bring back some TINY resemblance of a STOCK car. Not talking about show room cars, that has been extinct for decades, but a STOCK car. Not a plastic Spec car.
Ah yes Camaro ZL1s and Mustang GT500s vs Toyota Camrys sounds like a fair fight to me.
that man always seemed to get a ill handling race car to the front of the pack... once he got focused one way or the other
Kasey Kahne to the 31?!?!
Went to knoxville for the nationals a few years back after the race they let the fans out in the pits i was standing next to kasey and he tosses me a budwiser said enjoy the cold one and we chatted for about 30 mins or so and i didnt even know who he was lol didnt ask for a photo or autograph just shot the shit and had a beer with him lol
Please, please fix your mic issues
Got to many nice guys now. We need some racers not steering wheel holders
I love Kasey and he’s great. He’s not a top 75 tho, in my opinion. He should come back. He could win
Would be great to see him back racing, because he was a good clean racer. Maybe Ross should get some pointers from him, because Ross needs to sit for a couple weeks to think about his horrible driving
Did u say that about Earnhardt back in the day, too?
I bet Jr has a car he could loan out😉
I like him but top 75 no
Sorry bud.. you sold out for prime years.. speculate from the rocking chair.. it's over
he races winged sprint cars weekly, so he'll leave the arm chairs to you sir.
@@aRedFrog every idiot with a checkbook does too. He couldnt handle the big leagues. Now hes crying. Too late

I miss the KK train you were my favorite driver sorry to see you had to leave NASCAR
