    I bought the aqua sonic for my nuface because of your recommendation about 5 months ago! It’s working great and I don’t worry about using a little too much and wasting it. I also tried a gel moisturizer from The Ordinary you recommended but I ran out so quickly! I tried a gel moisturizer from neutrogena but it made my face sting! 🐝 I’m sticking with the aqua sonic! Now after this review I may look into a more powerful microcurrent however for this 54 year old face… thanks Cassandra! 🦋

    • @ZintaKirse-o8c
      @ZintaKirse-o8c 3 месяца назад +1

      Hey, I am also usin ZIIP device. I just wanted to know did you have any success replacing ZIIP gel?
      I bought medicube gel as substitute for Ziip gel, however I find Medicube is nowhere near as good as ZIIP gel. I need to use way more medicube gel, and it sinks in so quick on top of the fact that I’m already using it in much bigger amounts.

    • @SilverCooky
      @SilverCooky 2 месяца назад

      I have the same question. How does it compare to the ZIIP gels?

    • @ZintaKirse-o8c
      @ZintaKirse-o8c 2 месяца назад

      @@SilverCooky hey, I have the answer now. So I have the ZIIP halo, I used up the ZIIP gel, thought about cheaper alternative, bought Medicube gel, also the simple hospital ultrasound gel, now I have my thoughts. Maybe medicube and hospital ultrasound gel works with other microcurrent devices, however they don’t work with ZIIP. Only ZIIP gel works with ZIIP. This is also what @Penn.smith.skincare explains in her RUclips latest video, that ZIIP gels are irreplaceable with other gels for ZIIP device.
      ZIIP gel is more expensive but it will last longer. It is thin and does not absorb so quick, and you only need several pumps for a session. Other brands gels are too thick for ZIIP device, they absorb way quicker, so you end up using way more gel (even if you dilute it with water spray) and it’s just too thick for ZIIP device, at least I did not feel the current going through.
      So in the end you will buy several Medicube gels and spend more money on the long run, while ZIIP gel is more expensive as one time purchase but it will last you wayyyyyy longer. So in my opinion ZIIP gel is way better and cheaper in the long run. Also as I said, I did not feel the current going through Medicube gel the same way I feel current going through ZIIP gel.
      Sorry, but I think Cassandra has not tried Medicube gel with ZIIP device, otherwise she would state it here.

    I wish you had tested the actual conductivity of those gels. I have found that many of the gels marketed as microcurrent gels have little to no conductive properties.

  • @RubyRobbins
    @RubyRobbins 7 месяцев назад +4

    The Age-R Booster Gel from Medicube does not work with Ziip Halo or Foreo Bear etc. It dries more or less instantly leaving the equipment to drag across the skin while zapping you to a heart attack 😩 Upping the amount did not make it any better. I literally used half a tube on one treatment and it still didn’t work. So lots of money wasted as I ordered in bulk from Hong Kong. I even gave tubes to friends/relatives and they said the same - it’s useless.

    I just got a Dermalactives Microcurrent facial toning device as an add on in my Ipsy, so I don't have high hopes and can't find much info on it, but the directions don't even mention conduction gels AT ALL!! 😡They only mention using "a skincare product that can be dissolved by water before using the device" and to "re-apply water-soluble skincare product regularly during use to avoid experiencing dryness or discomfort". In the step-by-step directions, they have 3 modes - 1. Cleansing, where you soak a cotton pad with a "lotion-based skin cleansing or exfoliating product" and insert it in this ring thing that secures it on top. It actually says to not use milky or GEL-like products here!!! This step is supposed to help unclog pores and remove dirt and residue. DOUBTFUL. 2. Micro-pat, which is supposed to stimulate and "loosen skin" (!?) to allow optimum absorption of moisturizing ingredients. It just says to apply moisturizing lotion over entire face (one with high-moisture content being best and cotton swab not needed for this and 3rd step). 3. Warm, used to "refresh" skin with fine vibrations and gentle microcurrents (although they are used in every step with low, med, or high intensity). Says to apply a sheet mask or facial moisturizing lotion (more of the one from step 2 or a different one? lol). Each step is to be done 4 mins each = 12 mins for "intensive treatment", recommended 3-4 times per week or just the "Cleansing Treatment" of doing just steps 1 and 3 = 8 mins 4-5 times per week. If anyone has tried this thing, please let me know, but needless to say, I'm not feeling too optimistic! Although I felt electricity on dry skin just trying it out and will get an ultrasound gel and at least test it with that for a while before deciding if it's useless or not. Thanks to anyone who actually read all this hahaha!!

    I used Foreo for a long time and it didn't work at all. I did everything correctly and my skin is mature enough to be able to see results. Cassandra is still very young, I can't see how she can actually evaluate the results she gets😮

      I'm 40 and I've been using adapalene for about 3 years. It was working pretty well. In the last 6 months I moved up to Tretinoin and I'm getting way better results.
      But a month ago I got the Panasonic Vitalift RF and I'm seeing incredible changes. It feels like it's accelerating the effects of retinol. A month ago I had 3 forehead lines, now only two are visible and less than before.
      It's a really powerful device if you need something that will be more intense than Foreo.

      I think she uses her clients results to help her evaluate devices like this, since she's a medical aesthetician

      I am 63, am saggy with lots of wrinkles and use the NuFace mini. It gives you noticeable results. You don't need it til your 40's or later. Til you start sagging. My neck is like new with this thing! I use Fruit of the Earth Aloe Gel with it by the way. ALL of those other gels are not good.

    Microcurrent causes facial fat loss and my skinny face doesn't need them.

      RF and mini HIFU can potentially do this if not used correctly.
      Microcurrent? Microcurrent works on the *muscles* and is fantastic for anti-aging.

      @@luv2travel2000 Just like a body needs exercise, microcurrent can cause facial fat loss.

    I wonder if you calm down and not scream when you’re at work.
    I had a headache after listening to this video 😮
