Great review! There's a lot to love here: titanium, top-spec movement, perfect size, Zelo's usual attention to detail, and a very interesting case design. However - and for me, it's a big "however" - it's the dial that turns me off. I prefer my flieger watches to be more utilitarian, more in keeping with their tool-watch backgrounds. It's not the aventurine, but rather that central chapter ring and the numerals - it all looks rather cluttered, and I'd have preferred just the usual Arabic hour markets on their own, 1-12, without the rest. If you like the design, then you'll be getting yourself a great watch from a great brand. But I think I'll be waiting for Zelo's next release, hoping that the same specs (and especially, that movement) trickle down to future pieces.
Thank you! There is a lot to love but I totally understand yours and others feedback on the design, it's definitely a very different take on this style of watch. I've seen Elshan in the forums mentioning that he likes and will continue to take chances and issue unusual watch designs and that - I really love. I honestly wasn't sure myself until I held it in person and then I was sold, and this is of course the ongoing challenge of selling watches online where you can't hold/feel/wear the watch and will just rely on videos such as this one which will never be the same. Thanks for watching
Amazing about Zelos is, that every new release is an improvement. I have an earlier watch Comet with gold carbon dial. New release of this type of dial now available is next level. Same with MOP mosaic. On first ones you could see gaps and not most eye pleasing mosaic. I bought the next release, which was made for Swodfish. It's just amazing, no imperfections, just incredible.
I've given my thoughts in detail elsewhere. In brief, for me it's more than obvious that the build quality, care in design and numerous notable details are simply excellently executed. It also has a strong movement and unusual case construction, though seen from Timex, Beaubleu, MHD etc, and based on my own modest experience with Timex' version I'm not entirely convinced that it stays interesting long-term and also seems to lead to relatively thick and high riding watches. Optically that also applies here. Comparing footage between reviews I find the sunbrust version of the dial probably stronger than this dark aventurine, against which the polished hands seem to get lost occasionally which doesn't fit the style. Arguably the detail I do like the most about this is the handset, especially that delicate counterweight you pointed out and the shape of the hour and minute hand. The writing is on the wall then when that's the element I like most about a watch brimming with clever design features demanding attention. Zelos' talent for the craft, however, is on full display.
Thanks as always, I can attest to the legibility of the hands actually very good in all kinds of light whether it's very bright, dim or dark. It does ride a little high, but the shape is so interesting when looking down on it that it's worth it, for me anway.
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews enjoy it! There is so much choice that it's easy to accommodate different preferences at excellent quality in microbrands. Sometimes I wish Zelos did cater to my preferences more, but then I would hate to partake in the online release frenzies, so I guess I should count myself lucky that I don't feel compelled to do so!
the ghost movement is a non-issue! to get this high end upgraded Swiss movement from a European manufacturer would be well over $2000 USD. And probably would not look as good or have a hardened titanium case! there's too many pluses to list, this Eagle 2 is a grand slam home run!!! And a touchdown with a 2 point conversion!!!!
Like many design hints of this watch, i sense lots of ORIS ProPilot vibes on it, a general aviation elements plethora in fact, but the dial/numerals (not the aventurine...) is a turn off, for me at least. The side of the case though... mama mia!
There's a gap between the midcase and the crown, visible from the side where a 'tube' sticks out from the midcase. To be clear though, water resistance seals are internal 👍
The case is great, but I dont like much the silver ring on the dial.I would remove it completely on one pattern dials(ie aventurine, white, blue) and leave only numbers on them. And make a 2nd version with 2 sector dial combos, black+gray meteorite, forged carbon+gold carbon for example. Also Im dissapointed by choosing once again Fat Carbon dial, the lightplay isnt even half as nice as forged carbon😢
Great review looks like another homerun from zelos. That artem looks amazing

Great quality review, subscribed!
Thank you 😊🤝
Nice review. I'm surprised there's no mention of the ghost date position though unless I somehow missed it
Thank you, I’ll take the ghost position any day to get this lovely movement 😊👍🏻

Subbed! Beautiful camera work
Thank you 😊
Sigh…. I just received my Aventurine Hammerhead Ti last week.
Maybe the blue dial this time
I think all the dial options look pretty good 👍🏻
If you like this type of case you might wanna check the MHD watches.
I like a lot of different type of watches but yes, MHD has been on my radar for years 👍🏻
Rad honeycomb case center. Should have had a bumblebee colourway
Yeah nice idea 👍🏻

Very cool isn’t it, I understand how it’s not for everyone but I’m all onboard with this one 😊 Thanks for watching my friend
Is that 13mm thickness including the crystal?
Yes it is 👍🏻
Even though I'm on the site as soon as the countdown clock hits zero, as soon as I reload they're always sold out of the ones I want 😂
Let’s hope the one you want this time is NOT the one everyone else wants 😊👍
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews It's the meteorite 🤣. Plenty of competition. Appreciate the reviews though, always watch before buying.
Is there a gap between the crown and case when screw down?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Any Type A options?
Not so far according to the website

Aventurine *
Yeah might have been a slip of the tongue there from me ;)
