    About the NBA:

    The most beautiful speech ever. He gave props to EVERYONE in his life, including fans; he left an empty seat for his father. The speech was warm, accepting, gracious, and funny. I can listen to this speech again.

    Loved hearing Shaq talk about his family and childhood. It was special seeing his proud mom smiling when he was talking about their charitable work. I also didn’t know about his post graduate degrees. Shaq is awesome and a great role model for all men.

      Jus the whole cheating on his wife thing gets me.. in this society there is too much worship of celebrities. Even shaq admitted to it. Truth is we make mistakes, were human.
      But being good at sports shouldnt be the idea of a great human.. idolize the people in ur life who are truly great humans. Not someone you see on tv or who gave a 45 min speech about their own success in sports. There is role models and heroes all around us.

    I'm not a big basketball fan but I'm a huge Shaq fan. He's so modest and generous. His sense of humor is above all other athletes in my oponion. Definitely a true " What you see is what you get" person. There's nothing phony about him.

Phenomenal speech… I love that he acknowledges his Father and the Men in his life that taught , instilled tough love with life lesson a d values that molded him into the Man we all love.     I've never seen an award show where the honoree spent so much time honoring others. Not only is Shaq one of the best big men to every play the game and to bring it to new heights, but he's also one of the kindest people. Gotta love Chocolate Chambernizzie!
