Thank you very much, Mena. You show and tell all the right things. The most important, of which, occurs about 4:36 minutes into the video. This is where you quickly describe how to disconnect the electrical plug. I have never seen a plug like this and could not determine how to disconnect it. Thank goodness you said this about the red bar tab, "You just push it like this." Even though this is difficult to see in the video, it is possible to understand what to do because you spoke about it.
Found your Video on RUclips, and it`s really help me out to change the damn thing. My R53 runs sweet now Thanks M8 for the Good instructions You save my day Thanks...
The fuel pump is new, can it affect the fuel filter? Since it also lies in fuel level I would appreciate your help since I am new to the subject of mini coopers
hello mena morkos I have a problem with my mini cooper s r53 it gives me a P0300 code and it is unstable since it starts but the injectors are clean, the spark plugs are the same as the new cables and there is current in the coil and it has compression, could it be that the cam sensor or ckp can give that fault?
hi I have mini cooper s 2006 I had the code read camshaft sensor . I replaced it I reset the dash board an it came back on again I bought the sensor in auto zone then return it but it didn't work . keeps saying camshaft sensor
Hi, experiencing same thing thank you Thinking about diving in to this this my self. Your video was very helpful did your code and dash lights went away?
Thank you. I think the code goes away after you drive a while. Unless you reset it with the tool. Also I recommend buying the original part. As I bought one of Amazon and broke in a week and had to redo the whole procedure again.
I have a mini Cooper automatic when I start will start perfectly but when I put it in drive or reverse the engine stopped. But on neutral nothing happen
Hey please I need help! I changed a couple of days a go the alternator belt. I removed the lower vent valve connection (vacum squeese)but i forgot to put it back.I started the engine for couple of minutes withe the new belt and I heared a strange noise . I checked the engine and realised that was the connection that I have forgot. I put it on and after 3 seconds the engine turned off and wont start again. Pleaasee heeelp. Hello, i scan my computer and have this code, but i replace the cam sensor with new one and dont fix the problem. My car start fine but dont have power. Pls help
Greg, Not sure where Mena learned this, but I read about it on the MINI forum called north american motoring and the BMW forum called BIMMER forum. I, too, had trouble with DTS light.
John Doe in case you haven't fixed it yet, this fixes the light problem and makes the car start riiiiight up. I found the sensor on Amazon for a decent price and it was an easy fix. Still get the code but car runs good. Racecars are supposed to have codes anyways right? Also if you have insta, check me out @r.five.3, I'll give ya a follow also. Cheers mate
Thank you, Greg. It's repaired as of today. I've got a diagnostic cable and software. With this and various testing, it became apparent the problem was a bad camshaft sensor. Following installation of the new camshaft sensor, it was possible to clear the fault code for good. This turned off the warning light, but as you indicated, the light would take care of itself (after 3 or more starts). Like you, engine starting immediately again. Other observations include overall smoother engine, slightly faster RPM increase, and noticeably more punch (signaled by tire chirp).
Greg O'Keefe I got the part from amazon but it broke the next day. I got a replacement also from amazon that broke in couple of weeks. So decided to get the original from the dealer and it been working fine since. I guess for the amount of work, it’s worth to pay a little extra.
I think so but can't remember again. But once I start the car. The car start nice and cool but put it into gear either reverse or drive. The engine will just switch off. If you want I can make video of it for you please
opeyemi osiyemi if the engine runs smooth on neutral. And when you press the accelerator, there is no hesitation, then the cam shaft sensor is fine most probably. It sound to me like something is wrong with the fuel system. Did you do any work recently to the car?

Thank you soooo much for the video! I was able to change out the sensor in less than an hour! My lil Pepe runs great now!!!
Found your Video on RUclips, and it`s really help me out to change the damn thing. My R53 runs sweet now Thanks M8 for the Good instructions You save my day Thanks...
11 minutes. Nice! This took me 2 hours😂!
Thanks for the video, very helpful. I'm about to do the same code.
For people who are familiar with unbolting the engine mounts go ahead and jump to 4:34 for the sensor :)
Are you putting the jack on the oil pan or what?

Do you think cam shaft sensor can make the engine cut off when put in drive or reverse
opeyemi osiyemi it could. But you need to pull the engine codes first before you try anything.
It will and it will also run more lean and have a hard time to start them usually

I had the same issue until I bought original sensor from bmw.
I replaced 2 from Amazon before
@@menaczar I just noticed that as you text me that it's the second time I got it I guess I'm going to the dealer
I replaced the part now my car won't
run and I'm getting a p0500 and p1613 code. any advice?
Do you think it's the cam shaft sensor or something else
Hi, experiencing same thing thank you

cant understand what you were saying when removing sensor

Moutia Belhedi do you hear any noise when you try to start the engine? Do you get any code errors?
its norml starting noise , but i didnt check error codes . I ve asked manys they said maybe the crank sensor is damaged by replacing the belt .
Doesn't make any sense what your saying ...
Mi mini don't start everything was fine till I replace the o ring on the crank shaft sensor and the crank cover seald what it could be?? Please help
DO you get any error code?
No codes
The car was fine before I decided to do that maintenance.
The seald that I put on the sensor it wasn't the factory one it could be that?
I would make sure I plugged everything back. and double check the seals. you might have a major vacuum leak.
Where's the sensor guy?
Hello, i scan my computer and have this code, but i replace the cam sensor with new one and dont fix the problem. My car start fine but dont have power. Pls help
epineir where did you get the part from? I got 2 from amazon that broke within days so decided to buy the original from the dealer and that did it.
epineir I’m not sure if you cleared the code or not. This one doesn’t clear on its own like some other codes.
This would explain why my DSC light didn't turn off after I thrashed the car around....
Also, where did you get this part?

Okay have done that but it seems they couldn't find anything on the reader

What do you mean pull engine code pls
He means you connect an OBD II Scanner to the test port inside the car and check the car's computer for codes that indicate a fault.
look pretty easy
Mena r u there pls
very informative, but man hope you do not intend to make video on workshop safety ! Flip-flop and pyjamas haha
how can you trust anyone the follows no safety rules? flops and PJs? really?
Tommy Pizza if that’s all what you take from the video then you’re more than welcome to skip over and save your comments to yourself.
If you can’t work on your vehicle comfortably in your garage or perhaps in your drive-way your clearly a flake and never spent hours wrenching
Relax & say thank you, or just shut the fuck up safety boy!!!!!!
