Hey I replaced the vvt solenoids and camshaft sensors and changed the oil. All the sensors were pretty gunked up my girl friend missed an oil change and after doing all these still throwing the code. I was wondering if it’s still pretty gunked up keeping the sensors from properly reading or if the timing is actually just off it is about that time though at 110,000 miles give or take. Thanks!
So the codes my 2011 Chevy traverse is giving off is P0017, P2534, P0341 could these in fact be souly based upon a weak battery or something more complex ? I got this vehicle from the auction so I’m unsure of condition or maintenance on this vehicle.

Hi I have a 2019 Kia Forte that is throwing up this code. I work about 30 miles away from home, would driving it home damage the engine. It’s to late to get it into a shop tonight.
I’ve got an 18 Elantra with this code but my engine is low on power and vibrates could this be due to off timing or is that a sign of engine damage? car is under warranty but I’ve been on a waitlist because of recall so I wanted to see if it be something I could fix at home.
@@alanestrada2638 I changed every sensor related to the code and nothing fixed my issue my car go into the shop tomorrow but my mechanic said it is likely the timing chain is loose or the sprocket for it is broken and they will likely replace the motor itself.

Hi there, this code shows that camshaft and crankshaft positions are not synchronized. So, any element involved in timing must be checked including the cam/crankshaft sensor, cam phaser and after that timing chain.
Got the p0015 and p0017 code. Have swap the solenoids both. Camshaft sensor both. New crankshaft sensor. New mass flow sensor. Swap alternator. Pop up after having to swap timing chain cover since got crack in it. Had to swap timing chain since the guide broke but code is still showing up any idea?
Hyundai Elantra 2017 153,000 miles. I have P0011, P0014 (x2), P0017 (x2) and P0302. The car starts, sometimes rough. It will lose power going down hills, but start back up. It also rattles and makes a crazy noise sometimes. I’ve checked the wiring and cleaning the Cam shaft position sensors. I plan on checking the VVT soon. Hyundai said the car is work $500. I had to get a new car and now im stuck with two payments. What should I do?
Hi, this car is giving the fault for both intake and exhaust camshafts, so your problem could be timing chain or guides, but I would check the VVT solenoids and then VVTs before anything else.
Yea i the same p0017 code. I replaced the timing chain, tensioner, guides and both vvt phasers. Problem was still there. Weird thing is, if i start my car and start driving, the cars performance is sluggish. But if i stop, turn car off then on again, car runs normally. Which tells me, my chain that i replaced is on time according to hyundais procedure and the issue is either wiring or a bad exhaust solenoid. which i did replace already, but just so anyone doesnt know, ever since the pandemic, car parts are not made the same. So you may have to buy several solenoids in hope you bpught a good batch that will fix the problem. which i believe is my current issue.
