- For almost nine years, we've made videos documenting our sail around the world. Having you along with us for the adventures, the challenges and all the MANY things we've learned made the journey infinitely more meaningful.
But all good things come to an end. So with heavy hearts, we're announcing that this is the end of the Out Chasing Stars RUclips channel.
It takes an immense amount of time and effort to produce these videos. More and more, we found ourselves wanting to devote that time to other projects. Something had to give.
We're not done yet with a life on the water. We still have a passion for exploring this beautiful world and meeting so many incredible people. Keep an eye out for Starry Horizons and be sure to stop in and say hi!
The love and support we've received over the years has meant more than you could ever know. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of our journey.

Thank you for the great videos, watched your Top 10 series during Covid, then got a boat. We saw you all in Georgetown Exumas in winter 22, and just now bought a FP Helia 44 and you came up again on google, so now I’m rewatching all your videos to know what to expect and see if there’s any hidden tips/tricks.
We are currently circumnavigating, had to pause to deliver our daughter and swap boats for the expanded family, but these videos from years ago are still relevant.

Thank you guys for being a critical part in inspiring our own sailing adventure (Oxalis Borealis)... We almost crossed path when you completed your circumnavigation as we were stuck in Saint Martin not too far from Antigua, but we gave up on COVID and sold our boat as you persevered.

It's always a bit of a risk sharing your life on the internet, but we're so pleased with and thankful for the support and community that grew up around us. It really made the adventure significantly more meaningful.

It has been one incredible journey and we have really enjoyed sharing it with everyone. We had really hoped to get up to Halifax again this summer but some boat work has conspired against us. It will happen eventually though as Nova Scotia is still in my top 5 favorite places we've visited!

So sad!!! The song Sky full of stars used during your original launch video has been my theme song the past 6yrs. You guys were such an inspiration for our sailing dreams. Happy to say we are now living on our Leopard 45 and in the upgrade process to get her blue water ready to head south in Oct. Hopefully, we can meet one day out on the water! We started our own YT - Sailing Paradise Falls hoping to document our 3yr circumnavigation. Thanks for all your inspiration and best of luck in the future!!

Goofy does describe us pretty well! 😆 It's amazing to look back and realize all the things we've learned. And if we can help other people learn a bit quicker or avoid some of the mistakes we made, then it will definitely have been worth it!

There is a large part of us that feels like we're leaving friends and a community. So we wanted to make sure we honored that relationship and explained what we're doing and why we're leaving. The videos will stay up as long as RUclips lets them, partly because WE want them to look back on! 😆
@@OutChasingStars awesome as usual. I hope to sail away some day before we get too old and I use alot of the RUclips creators for inspiration on how to deal with possible problems and solutions. Also it let's me plan on the places I definitely want to see and experience. I agree with the community/ family feel you speak of, but was loathe to say it as alot of creators kind of feel weirded out like subscribers could get kind of stalkerish,, but I do feel like we will be missing letters from our friends. You’ve consistently been our favorite RUclips sailing channel since we stumbled across one of your videos a few years ago. This makes us sad (because we love your content), but also happy for you that you have other projects keeping you fulfilled.
You've summed up how we feel pretty perfectly! It's hard to stop the channel and leave behind the incredible support and community that has built up over the years. But we're so excited about what we're doing and what the future holds!
Amy and David, you will be missed. But your excellent and thorough video documentation will continue to be a resource for us and we appreciate that very much.
