First time I saw my rescue budgie doing this crop adjustment, I nearly had a heart attack. By devolish coincidence it was also the day my grandpa died, so on the one hand we were sad he had died (very peacefully in his sleep, aged 92) and on the other we were mortified Iris was really sick. Thankfully she stopped doing it when she got distracted by a toy, I found a video (Denny's probably) which explained it, and crisis was avoided, so thanks for making this info available, it really helps! On a funnier note, when I notice my budgies doing the "I'm boiling-hot" wing thing I prepare them a bath, always expecting them to dive in it head first, but they usually ignore it and prefer to cool off out of the water. Crazy birds.

Hi, I don't have a lot of experience with breeding budgies but I do know that your budgie might make squeaking sounds from various reasons, it can be that she has difficulty breathing due to some respetory infection or it might even be that she have egg-binding. I suggest to visit a vet or contact one online for small fee and ask them about that, try "pet coach" About the dirty cere, are you sure it's poop? It might be dry food that got stuck while she was feeding her chicks. I also suggest to remove the nesting box after all the babies will leave the nest.

Hi! I have a situation and I need a help. Few week ago I was going to bring water to my niece and out of the blue my budgie flew to the trail. At first it used to fly to my arms and bicycle and then my aunt came and caught it. After bringing it home it became frightened(because he was afraid of hands and fingers). Few weeks later it eats only its food(no fruits,unfortunately) and still scares of fingers and hands but less. My aunt has a dog and budgie isn't afraid of it(they like kissing each other haha). I was just confused...Maybe it must be under 5 years old so I don't know. What do I need to do in this case? Have I to make it to get used to hands, fingers and eating fruits or it might be useless? I will be waiting for your answer!
This was very helpful. I got buggies and they are usually sitting in one place . They do move to the other side but not often . What's wrong with them. They do eat well . The girl grooms the male buggie. They feed each other . Etc

My budgies are also Social calling all the time, they have everything they need so why do they do that?
