My birds both love to sit on my shoulders and play in my hair. Not my favorite thing but they love it!!!!!! They ask for scratches and pets and love to chase my hands around. I love them so much!!!!

My birds (2 parakeets) were very social and would even come running to me when I got home, then they'd ride around on my shoes or head while I did my tasks. Lol they just brightened up my life with their cuteness!. Til one day, when I wasn't present, my 9 year old son tried to GRAB them forcefully to hold them because they wouldn't come to him. That incident changed how they acted from that moment on. They are terrified of people, including me, and will only socialize with eachother. Breaks my heart, I don't think they'll ever be the same. 😢 Of course I still love them and take great care of them, and my son is not allowed anywhere near them. I just missed when they liked me and weren't afraid. Do you think they'll ever trust people again?

I wanted a guinea pig but my parents said no so now I am trying to get a bird 😅
I was going to get birds then my brother said no and my parents dicided guinea pigs would be better and my sister got really happy then I changed my parents mind and we got birds. Turns out my brother absolutely afford them but my sister is still annoyed at me and showing me cute guinea pig pictures 6 months later.

Birds are more fun and easier to clean up after. Guinea pigs and hamsters are cute, too. Birds are more entertaining and will show affection to you. Just remember don't grab them, let them step onto your finger. Grabbing them can destroy their trust and make them scared of you.

My bird kiwi is 4months old she is hand raised but sometimes flies onto the ground and she went looking for me when I was at school because i put my hand out so she can climb on
I feel like I am in a viscous cycle at the moment. My bird is having issues and I took him to the vet. Since then I have had to give him medicine 2x a day. I don't want to grab him to do this but I have no choice and it just makes him even more aggressive towards me. It also stresses him out. He hasn't stepped up for a while now so it's nearly impossible to get him out of his cage in a relaxed manner. When I am home I usually just let him come out when he wants but he mostly stays in the corner on the top of his cage. Aside from when I give him medicine I will heed the advice to not force contact, even if it takes days for him to approach me. I feel like our bond is very fragile at the moment and it makes me so sad as we started with such a strong loving one. He has attacked me a lot over these last two years and I am losing trust in being around him also. I want to make it work with us but at the moment I feel a loss as to how. I have been thinking of getting a companion for him?

I’ve recently gotten a new budgie and ever since it’s been attached to me. Literally as soon as i open the cage door it hops on my arm and scitters to my shoulder, and while the affection I get from the bird is appreciated I find trouble trying to get her back to her cage when I have to leave the house do you have any tips on getting the bird back into the cage without having to pick them up and put them in?
Make the room as dark as you can and shine a light in the cage. The bird will fly towards the light. Or you could just use millet

@@shockboy407 see that’s the weird thing the cheeky gal doesn’t seem to go nuts over spray millet. Spinach and veggies oh yeah she loves them but very seldom will she want millet.

I got two budgies a week ago one of them isn't scared of me, eats from my hand and also lets me pet him sometimes but wouldn't perch on my finger, he does perch forcefully but wouldn't perch voluntarily no matter what I do, I try to give him treats but he just doesn't care when I take my hand to a distance enough for him to perch, pls help

Hello bird nuggets! I have budgies and they both love me! But one of them (kiwi) has been acting really weird now she's too puffed up not like always when shes cold and im worried shes been like this for 2 days and my other bird (tango) is fine but i feel hes worried about (kiwi) so is she sick or is this normal?

Today.......My best friend (budgie) Mia flew away......She was sick. I thought to send her to the vet but she is never comfortable with the vet so I decided to send her there if urgent. I left her alone with some vitamin water and seed mix in a cage. Thinking of if she feels good feeling free for sometime. And when I returned to the room she wasn't in the cage and the door was open.......She left me alone ahe was my first budgie. I MISS YOU MIA❤❤❤ I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. live a happy new life😢😢😢😢

Hiii! I love your videos !! However, my budgie bites me for no reason when I stick my finger into his cage through the bars. It’s not painfully and I usually don’t do anything to ignore it but it doesn’t seem to work. Why so? Thanks❤
Sometimes if you don't move the finger away they can learn that their body language isn't working and nothing they do make a them get listened to do they resort to biting much more quickly or his give up and are in a constant state of stress whenever you are around but do nothing and act friendly. This is often called learned helplessness.
He could also be affectionately nibbling you or just investigating your skin one of mine dose it a lot. If it feels like a pinch it is a 0490034 bite tho

@@alphaxwolfnightcore7687 i meant to say move your finger away don't leave it there because if you do they learn that their body language doesn't matter and that causes them to bite more.
But you have to hold the bird if you clip its nails…

I still don't understand how you can grab them without losing trust. This is the most frustrating thing ever. They never trust me. I somehow also have gay budgies in 2 male 1 female flock. Female doesn't want anyone and males are flirting eachother.
