8. Captain Marvel (The Imposter: Carol Danvers)

6. Supergirl (stated to be just as fast & strong as her cousin.)

1. Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman's strength & speed are restricted by her bracelets. Once removed her true stats emerge. In older comics, *she beat Hermes, the fastest of gods, in a race.* )

@@jaydenlenzy3487 I would assume that since Barry has created the Speed Force and Wally has mainlined it, this would mean that Wally is faster than Barry, meaning that Wally is faster than the Speed Force.
The Flash was so fast that he beat someone in a race that was traveling by Instant Transmission.

One of the most impressive feats of superspeed was when Flash evacuated an entire city by grabbing and moving the 500,000 inhabitants to safety 35 miles away one by one, sometimes two at a time, all during the explosion of a nuclear bomb.
(Edit: people have been contradicting each other in the comments as to which Flash did this, Barry or Wally. Since I couldn't find out which one it was, I'll just leave it at "Flash" 😉)

QUESTION: Superman’s power comes directly from our sun and shows weakness under other suns. So isn’t his speed solely based on how much radiation he can absorb and not willpower?
Main/prime is hands down the most powerful Superman and that’s added by his indomitable will power.

As long as Superman is under a yellow sun he will continue to gain power. In one comic Superman absorbs hundreds of yellow suns just by flying through them.

I enjoyed Quicksilver when ai first started. His top speed was 250 mph. It was very interesting to me that there was a speed character who did not have to be over the top to display speed.

Archie Sonic and Wally are probably pretty close tbh. I think Sonic has better feats on paper just due to the size difference between the multiverses.

The only placement on this list that I sort of disagree with is Nova. I feel like he can be called faster than Captain Marvel purely due to his ability to not only fly at the speed of light, but also create portals. They have effectively the same travel speed (one may be slightly faster), but Nova can also teleport. Other than that I agree with the list completely.
Yeah, but that would be range (you can argue transportation too) but this is only talking bout PHYSICAL movement spds rather than other forms of transportation

I think Nova didn’t rank higher on the list only because his ability to move at insane speeds is somewhat limited due to that he has to be flying and in outer space for him to showcase his immense speed.

In the 80's, Barry Allen was my favorite. When he died during Crisis and Wally took over, I thought it fitting but didn't like him as much. However, over the years I think he's earned it. He's great.
Surfer has travelled so fast he went back before the Big Bang of 616. He even went back to before the Big Crunch took the previous Universe. To a Time where Galactus was just Galan. Surfer even contemplated killing him. So Surfer's Time Travel feats are much more impressive than either Superman's or Flash's.

Exactly. He’s literally earth’s MIGHTIEST MORTAL and derives his power directly from gods. Writes have stated he’s equal or stronger than Superman at various points. Yet every adaptation treats him like a ragdoll or makes him fade away into nothingness in the background. Easily killed by Superman in Injustice. Killed by the paradooms in the Justice league Dark Apocalypse war movie (they didn’t even need Supes; Shazam/Captain Marvel could have put up as much a fight if not a better one with Darkseid before trigon stepped in).

It makes me smile that there are a few familiar characters that made it here on the list. Like Quicksilver, Silver surfer and The Flash.
I think there should be some kind of clear distinction between characters who are able to TRAVEL very fast and characters who can both travel and naturally move very fast. Someone who can travel/fly incredibly fast but not move at the same high speed is not the same kind of "fast" as someone like the flash who generally moves at incredible speed and not just has a fast way of travel. Just my opinion at least
Agreed, its like fast reflexes vs teleporting. They are not the same type of speed.
The only thing that matters is superman and flash can both operate in multiple ways with their speed.
I mean if Superman wouldn't hold back he would destroy the Earth along with all Flash with his speed alone. That's why he's always Holding back

The Runner is not a Hero. This list appears to be limited to characters firmly on the heroic side of the ledger

@@Jesiahxd Exactly. He's Blitzed Surfer twice, in one of which Surfer warned him that he was not holding back at all. And Sufer's a guy who can time-travel with pure speed alone. The only Marvel character on this list who's faster than him is Sentry( and Death-Seed Sentry not the weaker Senty who fought WW Hulk.)

I'm of the vast minority who feels that Silver Surfer is faster than Flash, but C'MON, Surfer is DEFINITELY faster than Superman..!!!!! I'm a huge Supes fan, but he's not beating Surfer in terms of speed, and might not beat him in a fight as well.

I mean her powers also come from Greek gods in one story she was Zeus and Hippolyta daughter in the other Hippolyta had a party and when all the Greek gods were passed out she stole some of their blood and mixed it with clay to make her. And just recently Hippolyta joined the Greek pythons too.
Wonder Woman is above shezam on the official DC chart 11:25 but for some reason variant placed her below him idk why.🤷🏽♂️

The difference between the Flash and Superman (besides the Flash being faster) is that the Flash has a barrier around him that allows him to move as fast as he can without causing any drag or damage to the environment around him. Superman doesn’t have that barrier around him so him flying at top speed can destroy everything around him, hence why the Spectre had to stop Superman and not the Flash because his speed doesn’t threaten the multiverse

The entire concept that Barry created the speedforce was a retcon itself and no one likes it.
Can you do history of Cyclone, Rhino, Sandman, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with Kurt Connors the Lizard. Also can you do the history of the Flash Villains like Turtle, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Mirror Master and Top?
After this can you do the top 10 strongest heroes and strongest villains in all of comics
One thing I’ve seen is if you do the math Thor and sentry can move millions times the speed of light so can Wonder Woman and a bunch of other characters like iron man’s fastest armour moved faster than light

@@jamiegordon5188 I dont collect them so they can gather dust. Ive read SS comics going back to the 60s. The ONLY reason SS travels faster than light is because he uses hyperspace, the same as many other characters in marvel that fly thru space under their own power. That isnt as fast as you think it is. During the early 2000s, the SS was teleported to a region of space so far from where he started, the SS stated it would take his lifetime to fly back under his own power. He spent a YEAR looking for a way back. Meanwhile, Superman can cross his entire universe in weeks or days. This is a nonstarter, no contest.

Where's the love for Greenlantern who was able to catch both reverse flash, a parallax crazed Barry Allen and keeping up with light ray generating a speed force aura in the process if nova is here so should greenlantern.

Pretty sure that Quicksilver got an upgrade and can reach light speed now. For example, there was an issue where he (in Genosha) was having a video call with Doctor Doom (in Latveria) and when Doom hung up and turned around, Quicksilver was standing behind him. He literally ran between counties in the second it took Doom to hang up and turn around. That pushes him closer to the middle of the list.

Still I have never seen The Flash warp reality if the Silver Surfer can do that running fast doesn't count he wins hands down. Superman did it only once but Silver Surfer all the time nope Silver Surfer 1#.
silver surfer is not fast his surf board is really fast he's slow as hell with out it so he shouldn't be on the list cause anybody can jump in space ship and be as fast

Superman didn't do it once ,and DC Speedsters don't wreck reality because of the speedforce ,thats why they can even travel at lightspeed within the atmosphere
traveling at light speed stops time. traveling faster than light causes time to move backwards. it's the reason they can get to other galaxies so fast. they make time go backwards. so basically i guess they are time controllers.

I been knowing that wally west was the fastest in comics. But to put it so simple like this is incredible.great research and knowledge about the speedsters is not easy to understand at first but I know what you mean.this list actually makes since without the flash and their abilities those characters do prove their feats to be extremely fast.
Martian Manhunter should be on the list, DC Comics Official Character Encyclopedia says he is in a physical class ABOVE Superman, he has also kept up with Clark and Diana. I will not argue he might be slower if they went full out, but he is still fast enough to be on the the list. Also I would also add Dr.Manhattan who can teleport across the universe instantly.

I usually agree with your rankings. I believe they are legit, such as grouping all of the speedsters into one rank, your reasoning was correct. With that said I believe you should have done the same thing for kryptonian‘s. They get their powers the same way so their speed must be somewhat equal. Though one may be faster than the other, I don’t believe it’s large enough of a gap to consider them separate rankings.
With THAT said, I believe the 9th spot could be filled with a few other choices such as MM, or maybe Cannonball or Northstar.
Supergirl doesn’t have a spd feat that compares to Supes about to reach Heaven and the end of existence thru sheer spd alone. She has good spd feats but none that compare to that. Though, WW should’ve been way higher on the list imo since she was able to outspeed even Reverse Flash and react beyond the SOL when she was blinded
