I was ready to correct you before watching the video (about the common misconception) but it turns out you are incredibly well informed and furthermore critical of crappy mainstream watch-channels such as TGV.
Great job and imo these watches have the best price-perfomance ratio of any Rolex (which they basically are).
ETA 2834 are incredible movements, simple/cheap to repair and you can get em as accurate as any rolex 3135.

TGV is good stuff. You can't expect him to be as knowledgeable as the viewers. Of course Tudor enthusiasts are going to be in the know. TGV has to be knowledgeable on all brands. Same goes for Tim on the military arms channel. He reviews hundreds of firearms and gives basic overviews but is not going to know every detail of every brand.

Got one like these steel and fluted bezel, in the early 90's, as a present from my parents. Liked it a lot, but got tired of it always gaining about 10 minutes a day. Had it in for warranty repairs twice, but came back in exactly the same way... Got a bit of mechanical watch enthusiasm when I went to Berlin a little later and bought a Vostok Komandirskie from a street seller, ex Soviet soldier. That one was much more accurate.
Perhaps I should have a qualified watch maker have another look at my Tudor. I liked the instant day/date switch at midnight...

      Hi,
So I checked though a VPN on the Hong Kong Tudor and you were absolutely right concerning these watches!
It though seems that now in 2022, these are not available anymore (from my european eye). I contacted some Hong Kong local ADs and they told me they were discontinued after 2021. Can you confirm that as you are well informed and live in Hong Kong? If so, do you know if their price have gone up since on the grey market?
      Thanks,
      Kind regards,
      Marc

Either this story is fake or your dealers fucked you. Ten minutes a day is unbelievably bad. Like , VERY VERY VERY bad. Like, your watch will stop running in a week because its so damaged because it got ran over by a car bad.

I bought a 76200 from Yodobashi (Akihibara) in Tokyo. I purchased it 2 years ago for about $1,700 usd. They are regularly listed for sale on the Yodobashi website. Yodobashi is a an electronics, camera and watch store with branches in most Japanese cities.

very interesting and informative. even the dial typography looks vintage, they haven't changed it. gotta love the applied shield logo!
wonder why these are HK only watches?
i noticed that on the caseback it says GENEVA, but other Tudors say GENEVE.
always thought the fluting was never as defined and sharp as on a Rolex? that's what i heard anyway, and haven't seen them side by side to compare...

Rolex acquired the name Tudor during the interbellum and started to produce Tudor siblings in 1946. Produced from 1969 onwards, as Tudor changed Rose logo into Shield logo, based on the Rolex Day Date (1956 - only precious metals), the Oyster Prince Date Day came in both 36 mm and 37,5 mm, the latter nicknamed “Jumbo” was one of the largest TUDOR wrist watches in the Prince line. Up to the 1980s, the Tudor Prince Oysterdate, based on Rolex Oysterdate, came with Rolex parts and a Rolex bracelet.
In 1996, when Tudor celebrated its 50th anniversary, the company decided it was high time to shed Rolex signed components (such as cases, plexiglass with cyclops dome, winding crowns, and bracelets) in favor of Tudor branded ones. Besides the movement, almost exact the same watches at 1/3 price 😉

This really shocks me that this same case with lug holes is still availabe in certain markets. I'm in the US and used to own a early 90's 74033 however the 34mm was to small for my wrist so I sold it. I always wanted a fluted bezel Date Day and see you are correct in that the Hong Kong markert offeres the M76214-0010 which I would love to buy but I'm betting they will not ship to the US.

Good point. I view it that if a Tudor watch is still in production it will be listed on their website for the particular market that they sell in. In terms of the Heritage Chrono it is listed in the Tudor current collection on the HK website. In Japan Tudor lists on their website the Heritage Chrono and Heritage Chrono Blue in the Tudor current watch collection line up.

It's currently listed on the Hong Kong site and I've been told that it's available in Mainland China at authorised dealers as well. It's possibly sold in many other countries but I haven't checked the sites of all countries 'round the globe. That could be a cool little project if anyone has the time.

@@dagazwatch2681 Correct they are sold in China and Macau as well. HK, Macau & China Tudor websites show the prince models. I have done a check for Asia and it seems on HK, Cn & Macau websites show the princess as being the only markets that they are officially sold in. For other that are interested JC Station a grey dealer in HK (they have been around for a while) sell Prince Date Days & Dates and generally have a good range available en.jc-station.com they also list on Chrono24 look for Jetco in HK. You will occasionally find other grey dealers in HK listing on Chrono24. For Japan "Jack Road" is a well known grey dealer that also sells these models. www.jackroad.co.jp/shop/ it is best to view this website in google chrome and utilise the auto translate function. In terms of your watch review very good u don't often see decent reviews of these models. The Tudor Prince Date Day with fluted bezel in "blue" is actually a hard model to get as well as the black face fluted. So kudos to u getting a blue faced fluted Date/Day.
